I'm looking for the name of a mythological character, or the name of his story, I think he was of norse or celtic myth but I might be wrong
basically there's a prophecy about him that says he will die peacefully in his sleep, but he wants to die valiantly in battle like a warrior
but since he cannot die during battle he's effectively invincible, or at least unkillable
unless I hallucinated all of that you're my last hope because searching "warrior with a prophecy that says he'll die in his sleep but he wants to die fighting so he fights all the time" surprisingly doesn't work
I don't know if it will help you in any way, but i remember Olaf's(league of legends) lore being identical to what you described.
