Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by video game developer EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and was released in October 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; then later in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Battlefield 4 was met with positive reception. It was praised for its multiplayer mode, gameplay and graphics, but was also criticized for its short and shallow single-player campaign mode, and for its numerous bugs and glitches in the multiplayer. It was a commercial success
Battlefield 4's multiplayer contains three playable factions-the United States, China, and Russia-fighting against each other, in up to 64-player matches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (24-Player on Xbox 360 and PS3). A newly reintroduced "Commander Mode", last seen in Battlefield 2142, gives one player on each team a real-time strategy-like view of the entire map and the ability to give orders to teammates. Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and order in missile strikes on hostile targets.[7][8] A spectator mode is included, enabling players to spectate others in first or third person, as well as use a free camera to pan around the map from any angle.
On June 10, 2013, at E3, DICE featured the map "Siege of Shanghai", pitting the People's Liberation Army against the U.S. Marine Corps. The gameplay showcased Commander Mode; new weapons and vehicles; and the "Levolution" gameplay mechanic. The video displays the last of these at various points, including: a player destroying a support pillar to trap an enemy tank above it; and a large skyscraper (with an in-game objective on the top floor) collapsing in the center of the map, kicking up a massive dust cloud throughout the map and bringing the objective closer to ground level.[9] Levolution also includes effects such as shooting a fire extinguisher to fill the room with obscuring clouds, car alarms going off when stepped on, metal detectors going off once passed through, or cutting the power in a room to reduce others' visibility.[9][10]
The maps included in the main game are "Siege of Shanghai", "Paracel Storm", "Zavod 311", "Lancang Dam", "Flood Zone", "Rogue Transmission", "Hainan Resort", "Dawnbreaker", "Operation Locker" and "Golmud Railway".[11][12] The game modes on offer include Battlefield's Conquest, Domination and Rush; while adding two new game modes called Obliteration and Defuse, along with traditional game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.[12][13]
The four kits from Battlefield 3 are present in Battlefield 4 with minor tweaks. The Assault kit must now wait for the defibrillator to recharge after reviving teammates in quick succession. The Engineer kit uses PDWs, and carbines are available to all kits. The support kit has access to the new remote mortar and the XM25 allowing for indirect suppressive fire. The Recon kit is now more mobile and is able to equip carbines, designated marksman rifles (DMRs), and C4. Sniping mechanics also give with the ability to zero in your sights (set an aiming distance), and equip more optics and accessories than previous Battlefield games. The Recon kit is still able to utilize the MAV, T-UGS, and the Radio Beacon.[14][15][16][17]
New vehicles have also been introduced. With the addition of the Chinese faction, new vehicles include the Type 99 MBT, the ZFB-05 armored car, and the Z-10W attack helicopter. Jets have also been rebalanced and put into two classes, "attack" and "stealth". The attack jets focus is mainly air-to-ground capabilities, while stealth jets focus mainly on air-to-air combat. Another vehicle added in Battlefield 4 is the addition of the RCB and DV-15 Interceptor attack boats, which function as heavily armed aquatic assault craft.

Yeah what you said at the beginning is probably the most fun and satisfying thing about bf4 piloting. When you push the Jet to its limit, fly super agressive and barely manage to get the win, thats a only in Battlefield moment, cause you worked for it, and didnt just call in a V1 and got 20kills like DICE thought lol

I remember you from a bf4 match.. 6 vs 20, no auto-balance and you wouldn't stop going ham on me.. most annoying game of my life. It was as unbalanced as it could get. The only match where I really hated that DICE put those Jets in the game..

@@phoenix_yih exactly, i myself consider to have the same speed control as silk and decent aim, but i still can't do the same as he's doing here on a normal match, even if i didn't got 2V1d by the enemy jets an AA would get me and the ally jet would just crash into something.
But sometimes i can get good matches where the enemy team is not full sweats, and boy if it is worth it.

Another reason to pre activate ECM is when the enemy AA is launching passive missiles. Just so that those missiles won't be able to lock on to you and hit you instantaneously like I've experienced multiple times in game.

Ever thought about making a “tutorial” on how to fly? Such as this is speed control, here’s how to win a dog fight, here’s how I learned how to aim ect...

For me, I'm looking into every video I can on how to get better at jets so I am a solid pilot come the release. You could add a lot of value!
@@SilkOCE You should still do one I think. Call it the ultimate tutorial for getting good at jets in BF4 and preparation for 2042. Once 2042 comes out, make a tutorial for that too. Almost everyone will want to fly the jets in 2042 and become good at it. Such a tutorial would easily blow up on RUclips..maybe do a small one for BF4 now, but do the proper one when BF 2042 comes out.

The part about "stinger bending", you can still dodge stingers etc. without ECM making a sharp turn and flying head on towards the position it got shot from. Works great against AA's because most of them are just big sitting ducks. It requires a bit of timing and some space to make the turn, but if you are in an open field with no ECM its better than nothing.

Epic video man! What's your opinion on attack boats using the passive radar missiles firing 2 passives followed with a lock for almost 100% hit chance?
You need to spot the missiles otherwise it can be a very fast death. I do find passives to be really op though

A challenge I'd love to see you try is to use the Attack Jet and use the TV Missiles on it. Something different than J-Dams. I can't even imagine it'd be that great to control and manage your Plane at the same time.
Another challenge would be to use the F-35, but use the hover mode as a sort of Attack/Scout Helicopter. But don't be afraid to revert back to normal and chase after enemy jets. I've recently been trying to get something like this to work. But I seem to be having a hard time with it. I find that Hardcore is best just for the extra damage the main gun will do. I also find the 20mm or 25mm to be the best. The 30mm is just too slow. Especially if you are focusing on Infantry.
Another challenge would be to use a plane with the Guided Missile, but have a friend Laser Designate all the enemy vehicles. I and my friend used to do this a lot, But I think it fell out of style when the meta of BF4 started getting figured out. Maybe even try with an Attack Heli or Scout?
Finally, and less likely. I'd love to see you try BF4 Jets on the console. I tend to have this massive issue where for some reason, no ground targets are ever spotted. So it becomes incredibly hard to do anything. Maybe it's just me, but I do feel controlling Aircraft in BF on the console might be harder. Just what with the worse performance it still has.
There isn’t a binding for console to infantry spot like on PC. It’s my biggest pet peeve with attack jets on console. However, if you play with a friend who is on the ground while you’re flying they can help with spotting and enemy positioning. Unfortunately about the only way to aid with that.
I have killed few attack jet pilot because they deployed their ECM, and it made easier for me to find them, after the ECM runs out just pop one or two rockets and that attack jet is done

So silk, we played like 2 weeks ago on salt mines. My question for you revolves around the speed of your jet. How are you able to get it to slow down when diving? Mine never actually will slow down even if I jam the brakes several times in that sort of a sequence

Bruh the fact that Jets fly like this in a 2013-14 game is baffling... Shit! There's STILL mad servers with a pretty big player base in steam, that speaks for itself right there! IDK how other game studios haven't realize how groundbreaking for videogames was BF4 right along with OG Warhawk...

I find the JDAMs a little op because you can litterly spam them and take the fun of every ground vehicle
How is it you can turn so quick on pc but on console it’s not as quick? I love flying aircraft and Helis but I stay away from the aircraft because of that.

would love pointers on keyboard+mouse keybinds and flying technique for heli and jet. I use my xbox360 controller to fly on PC. scout heli is the easiest to fly that way. Some helis and Jets I think need to flown with keyboard+mouse

Yeah it's called jet chase camera roll and I set it to off in the gameplay advanced settings

I can use TV’s but on parcel storm I use passives because they are broken I shoot them low so you don’t see them and lock on last second getting an easy 78 damage then 2 pot shots with 25mm and the jet is dead
Pre ECM doesn’t work against active radar missiles though

You can still play well. Granted you will not get 90-1 matches but you can still pull off good matches
Usually good jet pilots won't have the honour to go attack jet. They'll just take the easy route and fly stealth so I have to do the same. Stealth gameplay is boring too.
I am not a huge fan of shooter games, but I wanna buy BF6 just to be a pilot. I played BF4 with a jet, I was quite decent (ps4), thanks for the tips.
