Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by video game developer EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and was released in October 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; then later in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Battlefield 4 was met with positive reception. It was praised for its multiplayer mode, gameplay and graphics, but was also criticized for its short and shallow single-player campaign mode, and for its numerous bugs and glitches in the multiplayer. It was a commercial success
Battlefield 4's multiplayer contains three playable factions-the United States, China, and Russia-fighting against each other, in up to 64-player matches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (24-Player on Xbox 360 and PS3). A newly reintroduced "Commander Mode", last seen in Battlefield 2142, gives one player on each team a real-time strategy-like view of the entire map and the ability to give orders to teammates. Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and order in missile strikes on hostile targets.[7][8] A spectator mode is included, enabling players to spectate others in first or third person, as well as use a free camera to pan around the map from any angle.
On June 10, 2013, at E3, DICE featured the map "Siege of Shanghai", pitting the People's Liberation Army against the U.S. Marine Corps. The gameplay showcased Commander Mode; new weapons and vehicles; and the "Levolution" gameplay mechanic. The video displays the last of these at various points, including: a player destroying a support pillar to trap an enemy tank above it; and a large skyscraper (with an in-game objective on the top floor) collapsing in the center of the map, kicking up a massive dust cloud throughout the map and bringing the objective closer to ground level.[9] Levolution also includes effects such as shooting a fire extinguisher to fill the room with obscuring clouds, car alarms going off when stepped on, metal detectors going off once passed through, or cutting the power in a room to reduce others' visibility.[9][10]
The maps included in the main game are "Siege of Shanghai", "Paracel Storm", "Zavod 311", "Lancang Dam", "Flood Zone", "Rogue Transmission", "Hainan Resort", "Dawnbreaker", "Operation Locker" and "Golmud Railway".[11][12] The game modes on offer include Battlefield's Conquest, Domination and Rush; while adding two new game modes called Obliteration and Defuse, along with traditional game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.[12][13]
The four kits from Battlefield 3 are present in Battlefield 4 with minor tweaks. The Assault kit must now wait for the defibrillator to recharge after reviving teammates in quick succession. The Engineer kit uses PDWs, and carbines are available to all kits. The support kit has access to
New vehicles have also been introduced. With the addition of the Chinese faction, new vehicles include the Type 99 MBT, the ZFB-05 armored car, and the Z-10W attack helicopter. Jets have also been rebalanced and put into two classes, "attack" and "stealth". The attack jets focus is mainly air-to-ground capabilities, while stealth jets focus mainly on air-to-air combat. Another vehicle added in Battlefield 4 is the addition of the RCB and DV-15 Interceptor attack boats, which function as heavily armed aquatic assault craft.

I've got to say, if a pilot knows how to use a JDAM they are horrible to face when on the ground!
It's like a mortar but more precise, quicker and about 7 times more powerful.
I feel like the old school rocket pods, or in bf4 Zuni rockets, are better overall due to being easier to use and your not completely changing cameras and not being aware of where your jet is flying. But like you said if properly used is very effective
Hopefully jet play is nice in the next battlefield, but I also hope vehicles don’t absolutely dominate every map

It is only that way when there is a good player in a vehicle, and the other has nobody skilled enough to counter it, or not enough team work to stop it from happening.
I legit think the vehicles with the attack heli especially would be so much more balanced if they didnt have the thermal optics. Wayyyyy too op for spotting targets. Actually having to look for enemies and actively look for movement would be a good step to balancing
@@potatopal7511 thermal was alot better in BF3 and got nerfed in BF 4 the maximum range at which targets will show up was significantly reduced.
it might be the best option for maps like shanghai/dawnbreaker where pilots have lots of cover options and can fly more aggressive, on more open maps like golmud or lancang dam zoom can be the better option especially if half the team tries to stinger you...
the only problem i see with the AH is that it can deal with every other vehicle that is supposed to counter it very reliable. SJ/AJ are both 1 hit kills to TOWs/TVs, the MAA can be destroyed in a few seconds even at longer ranges if gunner/pilot hit with the TOW and TV combo and follow up with a couple zunnis and the cannon.
Small tip that he didnt mention in this video: If you get hit with a stinger and you're close to the ground (eg 17:09), you can't pitch up, but you CAN pitch down. So flip your plane up-side-down and pitch down too avoid crashing. Awesome gameplay!
Yooo that is a HUGE tip quite a lot of deaths in jets are because I haven't equipped Gyro Stabilizer and got hit by a missile because ECM failed or something and can't pull up while flying towards the ground.

one thing that makes me happy is that when i see people commenting "jet only scrub" or something, i then think about how if they themselves tried to fly whatever vehicle your dominating in would do absolutely dogshit.
I think what they mean is that they only play in jets. If a map is in rotation that doesn't have jets they quit.
Imagine 6 copies of Silk in one match on the same team, one in attack heli, one in lav, one in tank, one in aa and one in attack and stealth jet...

I have a hate for pilots when I play bf4 but watching you play in the jet is always relaxing for some reason and it makes me want to hop into one
I'm new to the PS4/XONE gen (yes, in 2021) after playing BF4 for years in the older gen and then not playing at all until the recent 2042 hype and something I've noticed is how much bigger the skill gap is, especially in NA servers.
One of the reasons I didn't play the game in this gen was for the bigger player count so I feared vehicles would be nearly useless for a slightly above average pilot like me against the massive amount of enemies and probably double the amount of skilled pilots fighting for a seat in their vehicles but to my surprise this wasn't the case for most servers.
I have no faith that they won't completely imbalance the Infantry or vehicles. Vehicles will either be way too amazing and OP, or way too weak. I'm just hoping we get some fun new vehicles and load-outs. Like if you can have a tank with a 210mm cannon on it. Amazing as a Long-range Artillery type of tank. Able to deny large areas to Infantry. Maybe it's good against armor if you get direct hits. But the downside would be something like there being no turret as it'd be a Hull-locked vehicle.
It'd also be cool if you can carry into battle different ammo types not just for vehicles but Infantry as well. So a SPAAG can bring along explosive rounds for aircraft and Infantry, but carry AP rounds for armor. Infantry could have Incidinery rounds or FMJ. I feel there is a lot that can happen here.

What are your top 3 maneuvering tips for jets?
I’m hoping the new battlefield will counter some of this, the meta game play of going off and hiding behind a building or flying off away from where the rockets are. They should have to restock on ammo and jammers.
Your JDAM screen looks really clear do you have tutorial how to customize JDAM screen?
I feel like some teams just dont have a dedicated AA, so typically for me i would get the AA from point B and immediately use the deflect system to get out of the area quick and then just take it to base, so my main thing for taking out air vehicles is just go to spawn and spot any air vehicle so incase a attack jet comes to drop a bomb the bases gunner ship would help me take them out and as soon as they come within range they really dont have enough time to react. Ever since i really mastered the AA tank the air vehicles arent problems for the team im on
so youre the chump that just sits in spawn with the AA? And still gets shredded by the attack jet? lol, must be boring

Three days ago,I took the q5 Fantan at golmud railway try to get last 100kills to unlock the colored jet contrails,enemy team tried to vote ban me for 3 times... attack jet is so powerful when enemy team don’t have a good stealth jet pilot.

I'm terrible with speed control. It seems like I'm always speeding up even when I'm not hitting throttle. Then when I get slow enough to a certain speed I'm no longer auto accelerating. I don't think I understand how the jets speed really works. nice video mate!

Hmm well I've df'd a few of the top jet pilots and while I enjoy it, I don't see the point in investing a huge amount of time when the new game is right around the corner.

What do you think are the best kind of AA, like best counter to jet? Maybe even Zuni? Smoke? Rare tactics that may work
Best way to kill a jet is another jet. Stealth jet > Attack Jet. Attack boat with Passive radar, AA with passive radar missiles. Recon designating the jet as a target all game.
Thermal camo and smoke in a vehicle keeps you off mini map and stops you getting too much unwanted attention from the air.

I’ve noticed that your spotting works flawlessly. When I try to spot using the rear cam or just spotting in first person towards infantry my spotting doesn’t work properly or it spots something else nearby instead of the targets. Any settings I have to tweak for this?
