I enjoyed this episode, gave a lot of answers but also added more questions. I noticed as well they show the two hooded figures in the flashback but not their faces! Also in this episode the end credit music is vastly different, I assume for a reason but it’s way out there from the other 6 episodes.
This show had so much potential all for it to just fall flat. Shouldve been about Sol and Qimir, with Qimir being a sort of broken character trying to enact revenge on Sol, who couldve been a former master that abandoned him out of fear of the dark within. Instead we got... this
LOL, my reactions are identical to yours. Agree it was a huge miss not to show what exactly happened to Mae. I think there has to be some paranormal stuff happening that allows her to survive.
I assume that this will be revealed in E8, where one of the Sith, who weren't featured in E7, rescues Mae and takes her as their apprentice. The witches and twins were always instruments of the Sith's grand plan to undermine the Jedi and E7 just leads up to that. That's my guess.
Episode was fucking great. Loved the parts with Kelnacca as well. Unpopular opinion but i actually enjoyed episode 3, because i figured they were up to some shit and that it was set up for it (also, I watched it in Japanese and I realized a lot of my disconnect with modern star wars is their verbal acting (sol and green lady especially.) also want to say that i was in ur chat last night, and I was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT that Mae wants to be "one" with Osha because osha said it herself to Mae before. not crazy. "I don't want to be the same as you." And Mae pushes her and then has to get led off (idk if you remember this). Mae gives up everything for Osha is the same reason she wanted to kill her - to be them vs the world and because she wants to control osha. Thats all she cares about, to the point it blinds her, cuz im assuming the CULT raised her that way (with horned lady special treatment toward mae and reinforcing the dark side/ negative behavior and bossing osha around in her, and leader lady giving special treatment toward osha (and refusing to discipline her especially, but also either I'm assuming its from a literal sense and that the ascension would've cnnected them with the "thread" (im assuming their tainted form of the force) My favorite favorite part of the episode was master inadara wiping out the entire cult with one move. I don't know why, but it just felt so sinister, with the withered old lady in the middle (she creeped me out) and all of them falling around her, like it felt so wrong and at the same time they were possessing nacca so it had to be done. either way, sad it happened that way, and they were culty as fuck (which makes sense with them not being part of the republic at this point) If i could change one thing though, I'd have some special effect with Inadara's eyes , show some kind of "mmph" behind the action. I'm happy with it either way, but it did feel very... almost sith like. but i wonder if it was just that brute force breaking the "thread" causes them to get disconnected in reality, aka if the tether isnt broken properly they die?? I like the idea of this use of magic/force stuff, i hope we get more Nightsister content too (Ahsoka pleased me, Morg
I'm thinking some sort of re-edit/re-cut/re-structure for this show is in order for its story to be done justice. the pacing is very off. I don't hate it, but I can't unsee the issues at the same time.

Honestly the funniest part about this episode is all those silly things in episode three have now been justified and explained. Like it ruined the immersion, but the loudest complainers can’t accept it and are now review bombing this episode massively. Ironic. One of those situations that if it were a film and we got both sides of the events in acts one and then act three, no one would’ve complained. Same with if the entire series was released on day one. I think they could’ve merged both episodes together in explaining the silly things and simply omitting the end where Sol chose Osha and revealing that part later. It was the only significant part that needed to be omitted. Everything else could've been put in one episode. Either way, I’m glad the silly stuff is now answered. I am very curious about the teleportation though. Of course we’ve seen it with the Nightsisters and most recently in Jedi Survivor, but it seemed different, like it was so much more than teleportation. Almost like the witches were under a hive mind. But this answers a lot of the silly questions that ruined the immersion early on. Episodes 1, 2, 3 and 7 could’ve been two episodes at the beginning. Then revealed at the end of episode six the Sol part and then jumped into the finale. They just couldn’t get the character building right. That’s the big problem with the show and it’s now clear, they had a story, but didn’t build the characters enough to flesh out the entire series. If they wanted a mystery series build it all around Osha and her being torn between light and dark, her and Mae perhaps sharing memories, making us as an audience just think they’re one person. Learn into the teleporting so that they swap places, so when Mae does bad things, Osha wakes up and thinks it was her. Osha could’ve been so tormented by what happened she could’ve erased it from her memory and doesn’t even remember a twin sister. That could’ve been the big twist at the end. But we could’ve shown the conflict in light and dark between two twins while being trained by Qimir and hunted by the Jedi. Big reveal that Sol had chosen Osha over Mae. It just builds a more character driven piece and builds on the mystery more. Not to say that’s perfect, but the direction they took was very much so an idea that wasn’t fleshed out enough. It’s definitely improved as the weeks have gone on and the sour taste has gone, but there was some wasted potential.
l liked this episode specially because the fight good but damn... There is still things that piss me off. Like contradicting George Lucas's story, its like that anakin is not the choseen one anymore?. And in my opinion, everything that revolves around witchcraft is story-ready and cheap script, we started to see that kind of stuff with Dave Filoni in the Clone Wars then in Ahsoka. Lets be real, We are not in Haiti with Voodoo or in another galaxy? We are in a galaxy where the Sith took hundreds of years to learn the creation of life, it must be complex as a mastery and witchcraft is nothing compared. Its cheap man.

Since episode 2, I've felt like the twins lacked substance. They have no motive, no drive, they just stroll around with the story with no belief, smoothly going from one side to the other and back like empty shells. I've been told countless times that knowing what happened from the witches perspective would fix this flaw, would give them a real backstory. Well, let's just stay it didn't and I'm now confused at why the twins even are in this story in the first place. This show proves week after week that it had no backbone, no structure that it could rely on, no mystery to hide that would tie everything together. It's just bland and lazy, as expected.
Some people are still hating on the show so much, they can't enjoy anything. Like everyone was crying we didn't get a wookie fight, and now we got the wookie fight and it was a great fight, and people are like, 'this is the worst episode yet'. The show has some flaws but it is fun at times too.

So the Jedi ultimately fell because they sent an immature, impulsive and foolish boy who clearly needed more Padawan years under his belt before he was ready for a mission this important, and a weak-minded romantic who was controlled by his emotions and desires and had no business being a Jedi, on an important mission, who then proceeded to massively screw it up on every level and then hide it from the Jedi council, setting in motion a complex series of events that would eventually lead to the fall of the Jedi AND republic? Sorry, just doesn't work for me. Some have argued that the Jedi fell because they were too rigid, but here we see indications that they fell because they were too emotional? Make up your mind, Star Wars! It's like they're throwing whatever they can at the wall to see what sticks, but so much isn't. Yet I keep watching.
So.. basically a high republic version of anakin. 😂 it works well since it shows how clueless the jedi were sending broken people like Sol and Anakin and many more to do important things and pressuring them until something bad happens
