@@silversnail1413 it undoubtedly is - the writing is notably inferior, and while it gets a reputation of 'being the darker one of the 3' in reality at nearly every turn the writer is trying to crack jokes of some kind (even during serious situations) love Hoth, love the battle of Hoth, love a lot of the concepts in it, but execution (from writing+directing) is not up to the greatness of A New Hope and Return of the Jedi --- Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome is also the best of the Mad Max movies... majority+mainstream tends to like the lesser, not the better, so the 'controversial opinion' usually comes in contrast to the masses loud declarations
