Umm, they are in rebuild mode. Just because 95% of teams rebuilding really suck, we are resetting our cap this season, we got rid of a bunch of players, how is this not a rebuild ??? I can give ANYONE 15 reasons why Josh Allen is a better QB than Mahomes. Let’s put it this way, Allen would have been great no matter what team of all 32 teams draft him. Mahomes, there’s ONE team he gets drafted to to become the “best” QB.. there are 4 teams that if drafted him, Mahomes would float around the 5th best QB. There are 11 teams that Mahomes would be a big time play maker and big time turnover machine, ya think Allen’s bad at turnovers, Mahomes would put up stats like 4800yds, 35TDs, he’ll make about 40 Mahome type of plays a season, including running for 400yds and 5 TDs, not bad … that’s the good. The bad would be he’d have 20ints, 8-10 fumbles, he’d be one of the higher sacked QB as he holds onto the ball to long or tries to out run AND he’ll complete 58%. And don’t lie to yourself, there are 16 teams, that if drafted, he would be a career backup right now, as the media year after year calls him more and more of a bust. If anyone thinks differently, you are clueless, I’d say, go watch his college years. He was so wild, and didn’t see the field good at all. Yes he can run, but so can Joe Burrow but the reason we don’t consider them running threats like we do with Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson is because neither of them comes even slightly close to the speed and agility of Jackson, and both quarterbacks would lose a straight up race against Josh Allen buy a good yard or two, but neither of them are close to as strong as Allen is. They are about 2 inches shorter and 25 pounds lighter and I know that doesn’t really matter but Josh Allen is a very strong aggressive runner with a killer stiff arm and will truck through anybody. Mahomes isn’t doing all that. So, 16 NFL teams that have bad coaches maybe defensive minded coaches, first year Mahomes averages 17-30 for 233yds 2TDs, 1.25 INTs, along with 0.5 fums and gets sacked 2-4 times averagely on every game of the season. He might have a great game where he throws five touchdowns. But then the next week he’ll have a terrible game where he will throw three interceptions and have a fumble or two and get sacked nine times. Coaches are worried about their jobs. If he’s not producing and winning at a high enough level, even though 16 of these NFL teams gave Mahomes an absolutely terrible Oline, Or no weapons at all, or very bad running game, Or an idiot offensive play caller, or maybe he gets all of the above. He would not last more than two maybe three seasons. Josh Allen would be good anywhere he went.

Palmer aided his development in the off-season. Don’t dismissing his in-season strides made possible with Dabol as his OC for 3-4 years.
