I stumbled across one of your videos about 9 months ago, and I have been hooked ever since. Thank you both for letting us into your lives and showing us how van life is possible for anyone if you put your heart and soul into it. That’s what I take away from every one of your videos anyway. And Frank, what an amazing dog. I wish you both safe and amazing adventures in the future, and that you all be reunited with your van as soon as possible❤️🇺🇸

Trent and Allie: I am a Truck Driver. I've been driving for the duration of this pandemic and thankfully haven't been exposed to COVID-19. I stick to Love's Travel Stops wherever possible because it seems they're taking the best measures. I urge you guys to be Alert Not Anxious through this pandemic. Know the facts and use common hygene sense. Your glove idea was more dangerous tha just touching the pump! That made me cringe.
As a truck driver I follow practical precautions and stay clear of fear and anxiety. I've got hand sanitizer in the truck. Once I get out of the truck I touch anything without said fear or anxiety (The virus CAN NOT affect your unbroken skin). I fuel my truck, clean my windshield, grab a paper towel to open my door; hop in and pull my truck forward them put hand sanitizer on (rubbing for 30 seconds) them go inside and use the bathroom then I wash my hands THOROUGHLY then go buy my food and roll
I don't worry. I won't stop living. Stay Alert Not Anxious!

Yes, the safest thing to do when going to Utah, is fly into the complete opposite side of the country, drive across multiple states, exposing you to many states. I guarantee this whole trip was pre-planned, and they are just making the story fit current times. This channel is getting a lil too fake or "created". Let's get back to reality T&A

Gonzo Kat Yeah.... REALLY!!! And I just wanted to mention, if this video is real time and they left last Thursday or Friday, they will be quite surprised to find out that Utah, locked down all borders into the state!!! So however they come into Utah, and if the state agrees to let them in.... right at or near check point, they will have to go to a motel, and self quarantine for another 14 days.....then when they get home to where they will be staying (they have no home, so they will stay with family or friends, smh)then back to 14 More days of quarantining!!!! I sure hope it was all worth it, you put more stress on yourself AND OTHERS, by the decision that you made!!!! But Hey, you had to get “Home”..... Safe Travels...... 🤯

Trent is Trent. Thankfully Allie knows this. He has Frank because it helps him with flying - and I imagine other things.
Have you seen him snuggle Frank while he's driving?
And he was able to sleep 3 hours while she drove.
There are so many aspects to relationships.
To touch on their driving to Utah right now: other people were able to get to their best "shelter-in" place.
Trent and Allie were out of the country during that time.
They did their very best to keep Allie's family safe.
They are doing their best to keep themselves and others safe as they travel.
      All life can't stop.
They need to make a living too.
      Like so many without jobs.
They may have lost some of their sponsors - the Nomadic Movement has!
Other advertisements may have pulled out.
They're usually pretty transparent, so I imagine they'll tell us if life changing events happen.

So... I don't have time to read thru all the comments but I get the idea from this video that Trent & Allie are being criticized for driving cross-country to their home in Utah. I, for one, have NO PROBLEM with this! (And I'm in the high-risk category.) I'll guess that a lot of others don't have a problem with it either. But fault-finders are more vocal, unfortunately, so Trent and Allie spent the majority of their time in this video addressing the negativity. I hope they don't feel that's necessary in EVERY video! If people have a problem, direct them to this video and move on--literally!
Love the truck! Love all the fun quirky moments...that's what makes Trent and Allie so fun to watch! Also, did anyone happen to notice the "World's Best Dad" mug Trent was using in their last video? And Trent's hint that there's another project on the horizon? (Or something to that effect.) Am I the only one catching this?
COVID-19 is NOT about a virus or pandemic. It's about how we act as a society and as individuals. It's about how we treat each other. The reason I enjoy watching Trent & Allie is because they handle every situation with humor, poise, and grace. And they show concern for others wherever they go. I hope all you folks out there who've allowed this coronavirus to turn you into panicked judges will learn something from their example. Let this global event show you to be the kind of hero (and a kind hero) that history will be proud to talk about when this is all over.

Our dog locked herself in our brand new truck when she stepped on the lock button (which wouldn't have happened in our old truck). We were in a public park, had just unloaded 2 horses from the trailer with plans to go for a trail ride. Luckily, we remembered the truck came with a free trial of On-Star. The driving time of their trip was 30 hours. The video showed about 10-15 minutes of the entire trip AND - they chose to include Trent's silliness over Allie driving because they saw the humor in it. Jeez folks - lighten up on them.

Kevin and Robin Herber Well, be that as it may and I agree with you on that I mean they’re going home and that’s what that is and simply nothing to talk or criticize about. But, and this is a real big but, I am heartbroken, distraught and other words that mean pissed and hurt at same time at the fact they bought an actual Dodge pick up instead of one of the many beautiful hard-core GM Brands. When it comes to vans Dodge is OK but when it comes to trucks, who is Dodge?... LOL
I will say this about dodge, but I will not admit it if you put me in a trial, they do make trucks that look pretty damn modern and fierce or badass whereas Ford and Chevy still look like they did 100 years ago LOL but I’m a diehard GM, Chevy man. Yes totally off topic but other than that great video and they’re on their way home, so what the hell? Honestly, they could’ve quarantined once they went straight home if they wanted to but they took the approach of doing that first and they didn’t have to take the CDC recommendations at all. They’re straight up good folks but bad truck BRAND buyers. :-) LOL oh yeah

Medical practices may not have shortage of gloves but just like wipes, hand sanitizer and toilet paper, they are hard to find in stores and they dont want to stop in stores. In addition to the hand cleaning and extra precautions, the reusing of the gloves is better than nothing right? If only for peace of mind.

Be careful with Frank up front in a truck that has been in accidents and has mechanical issues. If yall where in an accident or an airbag malfunctioned it would be deadly to him I had a friend who's dog died in her lap from that.. even if hes unhappy its safer for him in the back and he will adjust. I just know how traumatic that would be. Safe travels and I cant wait to see what comes next.

Your video brought back memories of when we had our dog team, dog sledding with friends who had a Westie . We use to load the dog into the truck cab when the team came in. One day my husband had left the keys in the ignition and when the West was in the truck hit the door locks. His lucky day, as he spoke to her thru the window she pawed the door and unlocked it! Glad you made it safe and sound! Look forward to your new adventures.

Good luck on the trip. Others have mentions the truck bed issues that could occur from rain and such, a truck canopy would have been a good investment at this point. Even in Salt Lake a truck with a canopy would be wise to have. Also, without much effort you could have created a great sleeping situation in the back. It's no van life but it works great for quick trips. Stay safe.

I have a very funny story we had gotten a puppy and I was taking it home. I pulled into a gas station to get something to drink. We have a 2007 H3 Hummer and I didn't want the puppy to get hot so I left the truck running while I stepped out. The gas station was set up to where you didn't have to go in. you are able to purchase items right beside your vehicle. I was purchasing a pop when I heard the distinct sound of doors locking. I turn around and see the puppy in the window and her paws were on the lock. I tried everything I could to persuade the puppy to move around the hit the unlock button or at least even roll the window down. I wound up buying a Slim Jim and I don't mean the tool to unlock the door but an actual beef jerky type of treat. There was about eight or nine cars around me but no one really can see what or whom I was speaking to as I was saying come on baby open the door come on you can do it as I was waving the slim jim in front of the window. Well just so happened she hit the window to go down just a little bit. So I put a little bitty piece into the window to get her on top of the button again which worked but only to go down about 2 inches. so I get my hand into the window to try to reach the lock to no avail. so I put a little bit more of the Slim Jim into the window and then I hear the door unlock . now I'm right-handed and that was the hand that was in the window holding the Slim Jim and I'm trying to reach the door handle with my left hand to open the door daring this confrontation. The puppy gets ahold of the Slim Jim and locked the door before I can actually reach the handle. At this point I am getting mad and I start yelling at the puppy saying that if you don't open this door right now I'm going to choke you to death of course I would never ever do that but I was a bit frustrated because I am watching her eat this Slim Jim while I've got my hand still stuck in the window and now I have no way of getting my hand out to go get another treat. I was able to get my cell phone to call my girlfriend so we can have OnStar turned on and have them unlock my doors. now this is where it gets really funny I'm on the phone with OnStar explaining to the lady what is going on and what has happened so far. And the lady from OnStar is cracking up at this point and in turn caused me to calm down a bit for the moment. the lady from OnStar was able to remotely unlock my door keep in mind my hand still stuck in the window and I'm trying to use my left hand to open the door and I guess the puppy thought that I had another treat in my hand because as I was reaching for the door handle she jumped back up to the window and actually rolled the window up even more against my hand and locked the door at the same time. I start yelling at the puppy again and the only person that knew what was really going on was the lady from OnStar and I'm not really paying attention to the people around me because I'm more interested in getting into the vehicle. I am telling the puppy I'm going to strangle it, never going to feed it again, make it sleep outside, go and get its brother and let him live in the house while she slept outside. at this point I'm hearing people around me gasping like what in the world is wrong with this guy treating his kids like this. the lady from OnStar couldn't even talk to me because she was laughing so hard. well I guess there's a process that needs to happen each time they try to unlock your door so it takes a few seconds or so. We proceeded to do this exact same scenario three more times and i was getting looser and looser with my words each time. finally the fourth time I was able to hold the handle and pull it right when she unlocked it and I flung that door open like I was Superman pulling the door off of a burning house. I had to climb up onto the running board so I can reach over with my left hand to roll the window down to get my hand out and I grab the keys out even though I had the door wide open to keep me from getting locked out again. Now I have my head inside the door and looking at the puppy saying why did you do this to me as I picked her up so I can get in to the vehicle and that is when everybody around me realized I'm talking to a dog . and now everyone is dying laughing. a couple years after that we started hearing OnStar commercials of kind of similar scenarios and I really thought that they would be trying to get a holding of us to make one out of that because it was insanely hilarious after the fact of course

About three weeks ago was the last time I left my house to go grocery shopping… Ran out of groceries and went shopping again yesterday. Food only and then I went home.
What I’m going to explain now probably has to do with the fact that I don’t see it on a regular basis outside of my house. I’m also scared because I am high risk considering I get pneumonia often, even as early as last year. And then I think I’m suffering a little bit from manapuase (emotional); BUT, without any shame I have to admit I found myself standing in the middle of Walmart crying.
It’s an emotional time for all of us, and seeing people dodge others in the store like we’re all playing a game of dodgeball in middle school. This time was notably different because of all the people with masks on their face. This was in Sioux Falls South Dakota. The world is affected in many ways... could this honestly become a new normal?

On his channel, Nate Murphy is documenting the lockdown restrictions in Spain (he owns property there and is allowing three stranded van families to stay on this land) plus explaining how the police works enforce those restrictions. Greg Virgoe documented the requirements and the lockdown restrictions he and three other British van lifers encountered in heeding their government's "come home" instructions as they traveled through Portugal, Spain and France.

Trent and Allie make sure if you go to gas stops to spray them down with disinfected spray please the stall lock and door before you leave. I had to do this for doordash. Especially now with restaurant dining areas are closed. Be safe and stay healthy. I had my scare with covid19 myself and on Wednesday this week I was negitive!!! So happy. Don't save same glove even if you try to clean it. CDC does not want you to keep same glove at all.

We've all been there! I put "The Club" on my steering wheel & locked my truck. I then proceeded to go swimming at Virgina Beach with my keys in my pocket. The AAA guys was able to un-lock my door & make a key to start the truck. Only thing is, he was really weird about "The Club". He said that "legally" he couldn't remove it from my steering wheel. So I was like, f*#k! I'm either gonna have to cut the steering wheel, or wait till the morning & call a locksmith. So then the AAA dude says that I can borrow his drill & remove "The Club" myself. Apparently that was "legally" OK to do. So I then proceeded to break three of his drill bits drilling out the lock. After the 1st one, I could tell he was hesitant to give me another one. I don't know how I talked him into giving me a 3rd one. I was like " It's so close!! It's gonna pop any second!! I guess when it's not your drill & drill bits, your always the eternal optimist!

Use a glove with the hand that holds the wipe. You should toss the used gloves and use new next time. Also, you should switch off drivers when traveling. Cap on the back and a blow up mattress and there is your room for the night.

@@tcb1017 I made my comment just to be silly... I'm not making any guesses as to their finances, nor do I want to; that's their business. The truck is used, they have families who might help, the whole situation is very much out of the ordinary & requires out-of-the-ordinary actions, etc. etc. etc. Let's not rag on them for living their lives as they choose -- I was one of the folks yelling, "STAY PUT!" but after watching the first half of how they're traveling vs. what I see around me every day, they're doing a damn sight better than at least 80% of the population. Live & let live, I' not here to be anyone's banker. :-)

I LOVE you guys!!! I just happened to stumble onto your videos and have been watching them, actually bingeing on them!!! Love your attitudes and outlook on life!!! You ARE living life the way you want to!!! By the way, I flew to Tucson last year to pick up a truck I had bought from a cousin. Stopping in Sedona in a freezing rain storm and thought I needed to take a picture, I hopped out of my truck and somehow, someway I locked the door behind me!!! Thank goodness I was taking pictures with my cellphone and was able to call AAA! I just knew that the help that was on its way would be a long time, as the guy on the phone gave a ETA of 70 minutes!!!! I just knew I would be a frozen human in nothing but shorts and a tee when help arrived!!! I was amazed when he showed up in 20 minutes!!! I did hang out in a covered shelter and read everything on the wall tell he got there!!! You guys are doing great, I have no qualms or concerns about you being on the road, doing what you enjoy living and making the best of a bad situation! And, if you were REALLY worried about Allie's driving you WOULD not be able to take a nap!!!! I know!!! LOL! Be Safe, Stay Healthy, and Don't Litter!

I need to catch up with your videos and find out what all happened, but I am kinda grieving the loss of your van. I really admired your sense of adventure, especially in South America. You learned the language, adopted their food and drink, and seemed to have wonderful rapport with the locals wherever you went, I hope you can do more adventuring when this pandemic is over. God bless and safe travels to you, and thank you. Oh and Happy Easter :) Ostara, whatever.
