It looks more like it will be based on the current Valiant comics; the first games were based on the comics at the time, where the Shadowman role had been given to a new character

This is a very different design for Shadowman to the one from the original game this one is more accurate to the way he looks in recent comics they should make games on all the other Valiant Comic characters Turok, Bloodshot, Ninjack
Yeah, if I'm correct by that weapon, the one from the original game is Michael LeRoi. This is another user of the Mask of Shadow, Jack Boniface.

holy sh*t i was just playing the remastered version of the og when it dropped on PC. Im hyped a new game is being made. too bad this won't sell but that's ok ill buy it!
Hell yeah. talk about a blast from the past. Love Valiant. Some of the best titles I've ever read. Shadowman was one of them. Eternal Warrior and Rai were also awesome as hell.

it did get a remaster and it has overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam. This is a whole new game, new character and everything. The 2nd game on PS2 hasn't been remastered though.
This is a complete reboot based on the current comics (Shadowman is a comic book character). It's a brand NEW game.

the n64 shadowman did get a remaster though... and this is neither a remake or remaster. its a reboot, based on current era Valiant comics. as the N64 game was based on the comics of THAT time.
Heard about this character been wanting to read about him.
I'm hoping they bring back the main theme from the original n64 game. Because that was honestly THE best song from the entire game. And hearing it throughout the game in little bits and pieces while important parts of the story being told by Michael. Little tidbits and sometimes cryptic hints..

If they do that, the tears might start flowing. That's one of the first games I've ever played.

For those who don't know or can't tell this appears to be a prequel to the first Shadowman. There's a flyer on the table advertising a performance by Jack Boniface. Jack Boniface was the Shadowman before Mike Leroi if memory serves. So the implication is that this game will be about a new/old Shadowman as the protagonist and presumably take place before the first Shadowman game. Or it doesn't take place in the same continuity at all. In either case I'm stoked for more Shadowman.
Or it could be based on the modern Shadowman comics, which take place in a rebooted continuity and focus on a new version of Jack.
Hope they make a Ninjak game next.

For all of you excited that this is a remake of the old shadow man games. It isn’t this is a new game. The old shadowman used guns and was based of the garth Ennis comics. This is the more recent modern shadowman

Sadly, it isn't. Completely different character and villain in this new one, and it's meant for a different target audience. It seems to be based on the early 1990s "Shadowman" comic book and its fans, which basically had nothing to do with the Acclaim game. Not even "The Five" appeared in any of the comics.

Don't know why so many are excited about this, I'm extremely sceptical as it's not Michael LeRoi but Jack Boniface instead, meaning we have absolutely no reason to believe this could be anything like the original Shadow Man (at least for now) and could very well be a completely different kind of game.
We don't have to judge yet besides Michael isn't gone forever this is probably another storyline for the games
