I remember seeing your post on r/icebergcharts and confirming it was indeed Tim Drake Robin since the instruction manuel for the console version refers to him as such.
To add to the last entry of it being the darkest Lego Batman game, I think the picture of a red mask Robin model on the last tier is supposed to be about Jason Todd . Considering the Robin in this game is Tim and Nightwing is a playable character . That means that the joker has already killed Jason in this universe adding another layer of darkness to previous mentioned things.

The deepest part of the iceberg that's part of this game for me is a hidden room I discovered in the DS version. It's in the secret room behind the wall in the cell at Arkham Asylum. If I ran at the left wall the right way, the camera would clip through the wall and reveal a room that I didn't remember seeing in any of the levels and I have no clue why it's there. I remember it having the blue brick puzzle in it so maybe it was part of a cut level or something...
There’s also a really rare glitch that can happen after beating the penguin boat level (villain’s side). After beating the level randomly characters will unlock. I’ve only seen 3 people ( including me) have this glitch happen. I randomly unlocked Bruce Wayne, police officer, swat team member , man bat, Harley Quinn, joker henchman and Hush because of this glitch
I think that happened to me too, but it included Batgirl and I think someone else. I remember getting the achievement called Justice League and I was like: what?
I could've sworn i remember seeing the yeti appear in one of the levels in this game as an enemy. I feel like I saw him in a secret room on an ice themed level.
As a kid I just simply thought this game was very cool, but looking back at it all now, I am indeed kinda surprised how many "dark" gags they were able to fit in there. Another one you forgot to mention is that Bane can actually break a person's back as a grab kill move. I remember seeing that a lot and stuff like that and Joker's unalive joke never really phased me. That kind of thing would NEVER be approved for a Lego game today. People and companies had much thicker skin back in the 2000's and before, it's honestly pretty sad how most things are turning up now all even more watered down. That Yeti theory of him being Snowball is pretty good though, even if it's most likely a coincidence. I definitely believe he was an unused enemy for one of the Mr. Freeze and/or last Penguin levels.

Ooohhh boy vacation joker. Do I hav a funny connection to this: When me and my sister played this game as kids we were OBSESSED with tropical joker (we called him vacation joker). We thought it was the funniest thing ever. We always picked him for our custom character. We even made jokes about it when not playing it. So fast forward like 10 years and I start to rlly get into Batman comics. And i was rereading the killing joke when it hit me… holy shit. It’s him! Vacation Joker. Vacation fucking joker from my childhood paralyzed and took naked pics of Barbara Gordon. Are u kidding me. I still hav no idea how to explain it to my sister since she doesn’t read comics but lmao
the police marksman is not an extra toggle character, he can be unlocked normally from the shop. the thing that makes him weird is that his icon is of the wrong character (it displays the blue uniformed police officer enemies from the villain levels, when his actual appearance in game is a s.w.a.t. but with a backwards cap, black pants and a different gun)
Remember I once had a dream that someone made a lego Batman iceberg, and at the time none had existed so I was prepared to make it myself. Guess I don't have to anymore. Some things I want to point out is that Batman isn't the only game with no gold bricks, because Indiana Jones didn't either, Spoiler isn't in the DS version of the game, only a custom exclusive character, and there's a cool glitch where you can play with zero hearts. Play as a character with a gun and can't touch toxic waste, run into toxic waste, and when you start sinking, keep shooting and hold the stick towards solid ground, and soon you'll escape it with all of your hearts gone. I'm pretty sure you have to have invincibility on too.
As a kid I found a glitch in the Batcave. If you swap between Arkham asylum and the batcave fast enough you’ll spawn villans or heroes to one of the other locations.
Lego Batman the Video game was my introduction to the TT Lego games. I remember getting the Wii game for Christmas 2009 and boy did it make an impact. This video really taught me more than I know about the game, always one of my favorite TT Lego games. Also Lego Batman got me back into liking the Batman franchise. 😁🦇
The nuclear fallout thing would also explain why theres huge amounts of toxic waste literally everywhere lol. Another cool detail I noticed is that you can see Axis Chemicals from Batman 1989 in one of the boat levels. I really liked the music btw.
the "ice rocket glitch" is called freeze fly in speedrunning community byw and there is other glitch called SSJ (slam switch jump) to achive it, ypu need to have slam suit upgrade unlocked, then, in level you need to use batman flying suit, jump, slam, and really quick after slammi g you need to change to other character, there are some videos of me performing it on my channel if you want to see it
3:38 Rā's al Ghūl's special power is actually Regenerative Hearts, as he is the only character in the game to have this ability. Rā's gets his fast tightrope walking ability from Nightwing. Some may have already commented this but I haven't seen it yet
Me and my brother loved playing this game when we were kids, it was in the PS2, I remember I kept dying as Robin, while my brother is Batman, I had fun playing with him
What's scary to me about this game is the childhood trauma. I used to play this with the neighbour's kid who would hit me with a stick and twist around my bawls as a child.
LBI agent is actually fully coded in the game, their character acts the same as a policeman and wears a black suit with a badge and sunglasses. (Their character data is located in CHARS\policeman_1, which you can access with an extracted copy of the game)
For the Chalk Outline, I know Bruce Wayne's (Batman's Parents) are never mentioned in any of the Lego Batman Games but... Maybe it's a sad reference to how Bruce lost his parents: To a thug in an alleyway, and the killer was never found, and all that remains at the crime scene is a chalk outline.
7:00 Police marksman is actually a playable character. His icon just doens't match his in-game appearance. Main character roster file reference some characters, that we're going to be part of extra toggle. Most of them are basically some civilians, that you take control over sometimes in the villains levels. From more interesting ones, there is freeze's red goon, a riot policeman with a shield, and a brown variant of security guard. Speaking of LBI Agent, he isn't included on this extra toggle list, so it's unknown, if he was mean't to be an extra toggle character, or a playable one.

I am hoping that the New Year will bring a change to this and I can start continuing work on many ideas that I have in the pipeline. Thanks again, -polarisneo
I still think Robin was originally Jason Todd and the only evidence to suggest he isn’t Jason Todd in the first game is Tim drake being on the DS version. So I feel like they left robins identity intentionally ambiguous. The DS version is also very strange and feels very non continuity imo.
about Yeti…people already brought up Snow Man but looking at his face and the fact he uses a gun wierdly enough made me think of a more obscure villain, Great White Shark, who’s a crime lord who’s skin is pale white, bald, and has sharp teeth which Yeti would match the look if he wore a suit or somethin…I dunno just somethung I thought about
lol am i the only one that never found this game that depressing? it literally has the batman vibe to it. If you grew up watching the animated series, this is the same exact vibe. And arkham games even have the same vibe imo. Especially the first one
Is there anything anybody knows about the Killer Moth trophy room glitch? I looked around the internet and couldn’t find ANY reference to it outside of this iceberg.
travelers tales and lego back then werent as ridiculously kid friendly as they are today. You can even compare the same death scenes from lego star wars 1 and 2, to the complete saga and skywalker saga. And see how they censored the deaths even more in the most recent game. That now, according to the skywalker saga, no character actually ever died. But in lego star wars 1 and 2, characters actually had their deaths
Yeh I replayed Lego batman a few years ago and I got a negative aura from the arkham asylum cause it played classical music while you could hear asylum patients in the background laughing psychotically. As a kid I always noticed it but didnt think much about it at all
I was a kid playing this game on pc nonstop it always made me feel as if I was actually in Gotham city the vibes the music gameplay and references was always dark and ay 10 years old I loved it
Very quality video, but you're definitely off on one here. Although there is some reason to not think that Lego Batman 1 isn't canon to 2/3/DC SV, there is quite the large litany of evidence that they're connected. Huge amount of various references, a lot of the same characters used, many of the same designs used, much of the soundtrack being similar, and the big thing, a massive amount of gameplay crossover. Not only are the basic gameplay elements almost the exact same, but many specific features are similar as well

Ooohhh boy vacation joker. Do I hav a funny connection to this:
When me and my sister played this game as kids we were OBSESSED with tropical joker (we called him vacation joker).
I'm pretty sure you have to have invincibility on too.
the mention of little fun at the big top made sense, i always felt like it had an aura tbh
As a Lego Batman speedrunner, this is fucking awesome!!!
also i got bigger negative aura from Little Fun at the Big Top than Wet Dry World 💀💀💀💀💀
aproved
@@musk_operacji then you say im the one stalking you 💀
@@legobatgirl what
@@0turi you won't get it
Indeed.
I’m surprised there wasn’t any mention of Victor Zsasz being in the DS version
Great video! This is still one of the best Lego games, till this day
As a kid I found a glitch in the Batcave.
Anyone know what happened to this guy? He uploaded one VERY good video and hasn’t uploaded since.
Haven't seen the full video yet, so I'm not sure if It's mentioned but I remember seeing a different Wayne Manor in the DS version.
It’s so cool seeing these new high quality channels blowing up lately good job
Thank you :) new video soon, a bit different to this but I think will still be interesting to many
This is a good video. Interesting and yes this game is pretty dark the one level that used to creep me out was little fun at the big top
The nuclear fallout thing would also explain why theres huge amounts of toxic waste literally everywhere lol. Another cool detail I noticed is that you can see Axis Chemicals from Batman 1989 in one of the boat levels. I really liked the music btw.
The LBI agent clearly stands for "Lego Bureau of Investigation"
I Find The Level: Fun At The Big Top: Having Commissioner Gordon Trapped In A Cage, I Feel References The Killing Joke Slightly.
What a great "Iceberg Explained" !!! You should make more of these!
As a big fan of Lego batman I know some of the stuff in this list is true, for example I glitched clayface into the batcave
the "ice rocket glitch" is called freeze fly in speedrunning community byw and there is other glitch called SSJ (slam switch jump) to achive it, ypu need to have slam suit upgrade unlocked, then, in level you need to use batman flying suit, jump, slam, and really quick after slammi g you need to change to other character, there are some videos of me performing it on my channel if you want to see it
I’ll check it out! That’s interesting…

Dude, I was _just_ thinking about this the other day and now it's in a fucking video
Hoping this channel is resurrected one day. The person who made this has so much potential
3:38 Rā's al Ghūl's special power is actually Regenerative Hearts, as he is the only character in the game to have this ability. Rā's gets his fast tightrope walking ability from Nightwing.
Some may have already commented this but I haven't seen it yet
Me and my brother loved playing this game when we were kids, it was in the PS2, I remember I kept dying as Robin, while my brother is Batman, I had fun playing with him
I remember playing LEGO Batman the video game and it was so much fun
But I got every character except for hush and ra’s al ghul
something funny is that in the console version of the game Clayface is Basil Carlo, but in the DS, he's Matt Hagen for some reason.
That’s interesting!
How about the AT-ST JOKER? I'm sure people will make some creepy story from that.
He looked like it would appear in a old Elmo's world episode
7:00 Police marksman is actually a playable character. His icon just doens't match his in-game appearance. Main character roster file reference some characters, that we're going to be part of extra toggle. Most of them are basically some civilians, that you take control over sometimes in the villains levels. From more interesting ones, there is freeze's red goon, a riot policeman with a shield, and a brown variant of security guard. Speaking of LBI Agent, he isn't included on this extra toggle list, so it's unknown, if he was mean't to be an extra toggle character, or a playable one.
Great video Lego Batman is such a great celebration of all things batman!
I can't believe this finally happened
Just wanted to stop and say thank you so much to all of you for watching this video. 100k views for my first ever video on this channel in less than a year is really mind-blowing, and really, this video has been my only real attempt at making a proper "RUclips" video with production value (barely lol), quality, and purpose. Unfortunately, health issues have meant that I've been unable to follow up on this video. But! I am hoping that the New Year will bring a change to this and I can start continuing work on many ideas that I have in the pipeline.
Thanks again,
-polarisneo
What is the soundtrack name for the music in the background in this video
Soundtrack names that’s been playing during the iceberg?
13:31 unused levels repeated on the original Harley Quinn design
the chalk thingy is probably to explain why there are many police officers in the zone idk
As the number 1 fan of Lego Batman
I aprove
I still think Robin was originally Jason Todd and the only evidence to suggest he isn’t Jason Todd in the first game is Tim drake being on the DS version. So I feel like they left robins identity intentionally ambiguous.
The DS version is also very strange and feels very non continuity imo.
about Yeti…people already brought up Snow Man but looking at his face and the fact he uses a gun wierdly enough made me think of a more obscure villain, Great White Shark, who’s a crime lord who’s skin is pale white, bald, and has sharp teeth which Yeti would match the look if he wore a suit or somethin…I dunno just somethung I thought about
Unused Harley quinn is shown in the end-of-level villains banner for episode 3, they never replaced it
I'm surprized Eyezayar didn't make this.
Pretty sure that Hawaiian Joker picture is actually from the portable version of LEGO Batman 2 though
Glad to learn some new stuff about one of my favourite lego games
Really enjoyed making it for the same reason, there's some great extra info in these comments and other videos now too :)
Actually Lego Indiana Jones was released before this and that didn't have gold bricks either
Good point
This is a very good video but I recommend you should get a new mic, I had to turn on captions to understand you 🙃
thanks! and yeah, I'm definitely gonna get a better mic :)
@@polarisneo No Problem! The video is great and I watched the entire thing :)
lol am i the only one that never found this game that depressing? it literally has the batman vibe to it. If you grew up watching the animated series, this is the same exact vibe. And arkham games even have the same vibe imo. Especially the first one
I think it would make more sense for Robin to be Jason in the first game
Well it also references red hood
It’s Tim because he’s playable in his casual clothes in the ds version
Red Hood isn't playable in Lego Batman 2
He is in the 3DS version.
Neither of the _Indiana Jones_ games had gold bricks.
Interestingly Lego Indiana Jones on the DS did have gold bricks.
Awesome video mate
thanks! :)
Is there anything anybody knows about the Killer Moth trophy room glitch? I looked around the internet and couldn’t find ANY reference to it outside of this iceberg.
Loved the video, lego batman was my first video game when I was 6 on wii so its nostalgic and classic to me. I hope you make a lego batman 2 iceberg.
The music has gotten more eerie starting at 12:42 and I like it
travelers tales and lego back then werent as ridiculously kid friendly as they are today.
Lego Star Wars TCS has the same death scenes as Lego Star Wars 1 and 2, so i really don't get the point of saying that TCS was more censored.
One thing that could go here is the Arkham Asylum ambience. It was on YT but I can't seem to find the video anymore.
What’s the Arkham asylum ambience?
@@kalvongreat8642 Background noise in Arkham Asylum
it’s mostly sounds like psychotic screams and hysterical laughter
Yeh I replayed Lego batman a few years ago and I got a negative aura from the arkham asylum cause it played classical music while you could hear asylum patients in the background laughing psychotically. As a kid I always noticed it but didnt think much about it at all
Awesome vid!
THE UNKILLABLE KILLER MOTH CAN APPEAR OUTSIDE THE TROPHY ROOM
It happened to me in the first joker and Harley level
How do you want me to prove it thru RUclips comments?
@Hugo i didn’t record it. I didn’t even do it on purpose. It just sorta happened
A very interesting video.
Does it make sense to wait for new videos about other LEGO games?
I'd like to do more for sure! There are a few other videos on LEGO Star Wars icebergs etc. already made by other people.
@@polarisneo would love to see more content from you as this was a very good video and it made me sub to your channel
Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Star Wars 1 did not have gold bricks
I was a kid playing this game on pc nonstop it always made me feel as if I was actually in Gotham city the vibes the music gameplay and references was always dark and ay 10 years old I loved it
Yoo, great video, gives creepy feeling and its so nostalgic, do more videos😛
Two years later after I first watched this I have come to realize there is way more hidden about LB1 than what's shown in the video.
Not only are the basic gameplay elements almost the exact same, but many specific features are similar as well
I don't know much about Batman villians. What are the biggest Batman Villians that isn't in the Lego game?
