Those things are awesome. Some people are haters and always think they know how to do it better, but often they're wrong. Plus, there's just the baller factor of having four of them all with different OS setups. Great video!
The laptop equivalent of a nokia 3310
Nokia still King
Great Info man!
So funny. I did love that tough book video. I actually went to offer up looking to buy one! Lmao
Find anything good?
@@WT4T found a cf29? Windows XP for 75$
@@robmesaaz5737I see it comes with a weak CPU to make passive cooling sufficient, so that's a big plus for any dusty environment. RAM default only 256MB, but upgradeable to 1.5GB. I'd suggest finding a source for the old ram before jumping on it
Older ones yeah. Newer ones have fans and whatnot
What about the chip inside ? Can we upgrade these laptops by changing some hardwares inside of them ? Then you should make a video ti discuss about their performance though
Considering it
Very rare you can do much other than swap out hard drive and possibly with the older ones add some RAM.
We have all these crazy devices but we can’t make a standard or a cord work well
Facts
How much storage are those tuning/diagnostic softwares takes usually?
Very little. Specs are generally quite low.
@@WT4T Appreciated. I recently acquired a CF-31 and it has a 256gb ssd. I was worried about the storage space a bit :)
@_louis.se_ how much ram? Some live displays use a fair bit. 8gb+ will make a world of difference to workflow and viewing large datalogs
@@WT4T Good to know! I'm not sure if it has 8gb or 16 gb ram actually
I'll probably upgrade it if it has 8gb after I checked it. Thank you!
@_louis.se_ 8gb is generally plenty
What methods can be used to identify your stock ROM ID? Wondering if Epifan Software - Subaru edit has definitions for a 18 WRX USDM and works for personal open source tuning, ECU part #22765AL001, DEF003-232 A1 7Z12, ZN, Hitatchi.
Yes they do and you can "ID the ecu for epifan software" and it will tell you.
@@WT4T Thank you for your response, I will get a Tactrix and check it out
Water resistant is not the same as water proof so probably don’t take it swimming haha
I've seen videos of them submerged and still working, but yeah, it's not an "underwater computer" by any means
Thats so tubular
He can play GTA V
Not likely
