Wonder in the drip is from the masking paper? I’ve had that happen when masking oddly shaped parts, especially when there are sharp creases in the paper. 🤷🏼♂️
I have seen Ford paint code RR ruby red advertised in two stage formula before. May try it on a bumper some time. That Lexus looks really nice. Can't tell it's not tri coat. Job well done T-man!!
You my boy Trigg but I know there are dry spots on some places, it's impossible NOT to have them with just you spraying the clear. I paint roof first by itself then hood and tailgate by itself then the sides and bumpers together. I know it takes longer but almost zero stress and no sanding and buffing. Now in your defense a color like that with all it's metallic flake in the Florida sun, the customer will not see or know what we see and know. A GORGEOUS finish.

Only stuff I've ever sprayed is cheapie 4to1 clear and I wanna start using a better quality clear. What Amtech clear do you use?
Thanks Marc, I appreciate it. But you really should watch more painters on RUclips. There are some great teachers on here. Soak up all the info you can. And as for the AmTech clear yes it's great for DIY guys like yourself. There's a link in the description for the clear just make sure to get the right activator for your spraying conditions if you're in warmer climate I would highly suggest to get the slow The slow activator really flows out nice and you don't need to add any activator to it.
Yo trigger , hello again from phantom vehicle body repair here in the uk, and the PRO painters can go and do one 😂 well done on this bro i always ask paint suppliers if there is another formula for three stages on paints , wish mazda soul red cut the stages 😅 we do a lot of range rovers and know apart from laying the paint down wich is hard work enough, getting around a big vehicle is even more of a challenge, but you smashed it! Thank you Joseph I'm Glad you're enjoying the channel, I honestly think that any black would be okay The black is just the color the clear coat is what's really going to give you the longevity and if you go with the AmTech you'll be fine. But really any black You can even check with the paint stores and see if they have some extra black that they mixed up that no one came and got and take that for cheap.
That is some really good looking clear. I like trying new clear, i think I'll order some for my next job. Any tips on spraying it? I have a W400LV 1.3 and a WS400 1.4 for clear.
I use the ws400 with it and get kick ass results, I use a 1.4 as well. So that tells me you're spraying in hot climate. So if that's the case get a Slow activator. And don't use any reducer crank it up to 28-30 psi at the gauge with the trigger pulled for paint... Not just trigger pull for air give a full trigger pull and set the pressure there. And you should be good. I've been spraying it for 12 years now. No issues

Would the WS be fine for single stage or base like how the lph400 you can swap caps and such....i think the lph400 caps actually fit on the WS. Yea I am in the spray booth about 3 to 4 hours to paint a car. Some guys are much faster but I take a lot longer.

Similar happened to me didn't see a run in primer till I put my base on and it's a waterbase so sanding it would be a nightmare
