Employers don't care that you made RUclips videos when you were 12, or wrote Wattpad fanfiction, or that you have a suspicious search history. Nobody cares. That's not what people mean by "digital footprint". And to give you more comfort, as long as your name/identity is removed from those accounts, you'll be okay. You're not going to be denied admission into college or fired from your job, because no serious institution has the time to hunt down your IP address or investigate everything you've done since you've gained access to the internet- unless they're given a REASON to.
What DOES make a difference is when people start publishing evidence of themselves partaking in anything illegal, being disrespectful to others, making racist/homophobic/xenophobic, etc. comments, and anything that could be genuinely harmful. This is what people mean by "digital footprint".

DRAMA: 4 days ago ago I was walking my puppy and a car let me pass so i could cross the road. It started moving when i was in the middle of the road and nearly ran me over but managed to fucking run over my 9 month old puppy and then didn't even stop and drove of but I saw threw the window that it was my bestfriends boyfriend and i also recognized his car. I rushed my dog to the hospital but he was to injured to be saved... I didn't know what to do so I decided to talk to my bestfriend first and told her about it. She told me that he had told her about it and that he was going trew a rough moment in his life or whatever wich means that he reallly did run over my dog on purpose but she said that he didn't mean to kill it and that he was feeling really sad wich is insane. She then proceeded to say that I was overreacting and should think about how he's feeling aswell and lods of other stuff .I don't think i need to explain or point out all the things that are wrong with this but i don't know what to do. Iv'e been friends with her for so long but the fact that she's defending him is crazy to me. I also don't feel comfortable with her havng him as a boyfriend but i can't tell her to break up with him. I'm in so much grief rn and still can't quite realize that that happened.Please can somebody give me advice because idk what to do .I really enjoy you're videos btw , they always make my day better.

I am so sorry for your loss. While I do understand that your friend and her boyfriend are obviously very close, a good friend should see your side as well. I’m not going to make any assumptions on their relationship at all but I hope that is healthy for both of them. I would honestly get the police involved if you have not already. Your friend saying he admitted to purposely running over your dog is absolutely insane. If that doesn’t work I would talk to your friend again and maybe just make sure that she is also safe. If her bf can run over a dog and almost a person with no real motive, (that I know of) I can’t imagine what he could do if he was upset. Rough spot or not, crimes and still crimes. I really hope everything works out for you and I’m sorry again♥️

Drama: ⚠️ my mom despises my grandma on my dads side of the family and even quite literally kicked her out of the house once. My dad wants us to have a good relationship with her but it’s hard when if we talk about her it causes a family fight. I’d appreciate so much any advice you may have and this is by far the best podcast out there ❤❤
We have a similar situation I would recommend telling your parents if a fight starts again that your dad has all the right to see your grandma bc that’s his mom and your mom doesn’t have to see or talk to her but she can’t get in the way of having a good relationship. You guys go visit her or spend time with her without your mom

I would say there may be some history between your mom and grandma that could be the reason why, I know in my family on my dads side they hate my mom and disrespect her even around us as kids that when my brother was born my mom had to stay in the hospital because of the stress/high blood pressure my grandma and aunt caused my mom that the nurse and doctor told my dad they need to leave the house asap and the hospital so my mom wouldn’t die because after giving birth they came to visit to “help with the first boy” and did not do that at all and expected my mom to clean cook and do everything (just gave birth, and has 3 other little children) while they sat on the couch watching tv or going with my dad to the store to buy clothes/etc. don’t get me wrong my dad’s family I don’t see often but I don’t harbor any bad feelings I just wish they would respect my mom and my sisters since they only talk to my dad and care about my brother compared to my sisters and mom.
But yeah in your case hopefully it’s just an old misunderstanding but if your old enough maybe your mom could tell you her feelings and you can get the picture, but remember your not responsible for fixing others relationships if they turn sour, you can always try to keep the peace and middle ground since at the end of the day you are still family

My sister got caught doing stuff on her phone that could have an effect on finding collage, and a job. My parents restricted everything for her ,and she got ticked off and moved out, spontaneously. Now my parents ask me why she wanted to move out, and she’s been accusing my parents of toxicity. My dad text her and she told him to 👹 off. She accused my parents of abusing her, and now my parents ask me why she would ever want to do this. I’m very confused and as a friggin 12 yo I don’t think I should be involved. I ask my parents to stop making me question her for them (she blocked my dad) I ask if they would just stop talking to me about it and they said not until you give us an answer. Bruh

I got my mom to make a cat ear headband and a tail (against her best wishes for me to just bring a plush instead)
I even bought furry gloves (that were thankfully too itchy to wear)
At the time I was a bit chubby and not in the cute, cuddly bear kind of way. I looked mildly inflated from the stomach and neck compared to everywhere else on my body. My haircut was horrendous and I also had a reputation for being a little obnoxious menace!
I don’t remember the reactions of my classmates and I’m so grateful I don’t 😋
Story time 2: one night at home in May of 2023 I had an anxiety attack and I rushed to my parents’ room desperately pleading for them to take me for a ride in their car somewhere, *anywhere* just so long as I could feel the wind on me (it was calming)
Their response was to prevent me from leaving the room (not forcefully but their attitudes clearly said “don’t you dare”) and put on a creationist 20 minute long sermon from our church. Throughout the whole thing I was breathing rapidly and felt like I was about to cry but also like nothing would come out, it was weird feeling. I really wanted to CRAWL out of my skin, I longed to be injected with something that would knock me tf out.
My parents were behaving strangely aggressive while I was sort of hyperventilating and sweating on their bed, they kept demanding me to stay in the room and to “finally listen to us for once” (not the exact phrase but something like that)
At some point I had begun to get angry and threatened them with “you’ll get your paybacks someday”, which immediately bolstered my mom to say “You ARE my payback!”
Despite her having apologized for that since I think I’ll remember it for a while
To clarify my parents are in no way abusive, I just have a bit of a love hate relationship with them for differing reasons 😔
Your situation sounds like abuse imo (my abuse mom does similar things to me) but I don't know ur parents personally so I wouldn't know for sure. Wether they are abuse or not, u didn't deserve that. I would suggest using grounding techniques like the 5-4-3-2-1 method where u list off 5 things u see, 4 things u can feel, 3 things u can hear, and 2 things u can taste (if u don't have anything to eat near u then just think about the taste in ur mouth) and 1 thing u smell. It helps bring u to the present moment. If u like the feeling of wind, u could go near an air conditioner or buy a small fan as well. You could also listen to the sound of the wind on a video w Spotify. I hope u feel better rn. Also i think cosplaying as Firestarter is a cool ass idea. You were just a kid having fun lol

It’s hard to explain the situation with my parents, it’s more so that there’s a lot of tension between us, especially with me being an agnostic in the closet and them being devout Baptists. I think most of the tension lies with my dad, even my eldest sibling (who is in college) has said they don’t like talking to my dad because he makes them feel like they’re in a courtroom. Idk, it’s just hard for me to think of it as abuse
Also the grounding technique sounds great, I employed a similar thing with just feeling around my environment when I was derealizing last summer. It felt like everything was beginning to look “2D” and I was able to bring myself back to reality by feeling around my 3D environment. It was as if the depth perception in my eyes stopped working, though for primarily psychological reasons

My drama: So I told my friend (let’s call her SR) that I’ve known for like 2-3 years maybe going on 4 that I had a crush on this guy and at first she said he was weird but as soon as we added him to the friend group she started flirting with him. I didn’t pay any mind until the 3 of us would ft and play games together a lot over spring break because it started getting worse to the point she’d talk abt some inappropriate things with him. But when we came back to school my best friend told me that SR told her she had a crush on him and over time she’d tell me more and more till one day she told me that SR had exchanged some not kid friendly photos with my crush. I ended up confronting her abt the flirting bc I didn’t wanna bring up the photos because them I’d be snitching out my best friend and SR apologized saying she’d stop. But she didn’t. She ended up dating my crush and by that time I was over him and didn’t care but he was still flirting with me while with SR, so I told SR. She said she’d talk to him about it and I guess see did idrk. But a few days later she apologized to me for getting with him and I said I honestly didn’t care and that I didn’t like him and 2 days later she broke up with him. I’ll add that before she got with him everytime I said I stopped liking him she would too.

i really, really relate to that cat comment you read out. I had my cat put down a couple months ago, it has affected my mental health and it has put so much dead weight on my back basically. i got her in 2018 as an early birthday present, I was 8 turning 9 at the time; So i had her for a long time. I miss her so much and i agree with that commenter. Spend as much time as you can with your cat, because you never know when it will be your last time with them.

my drama - i took a bad picture of my friend and made it into a sticker. she told me not to send it to anyone but i accidentally did. so i made a group chat yesterday with her, the friend i sent the sticker too and other random people i added and my friend accidentally sent it. the girl then texted me if i was crazy or needed help, i was reallly confused but then she got really mad at me. i said it was my fault because i didnt want her to be sad about it and she made another groupchat to beef me and my friend who sent the sticker. there was like 7 people against basically one as i didnt say anything the entire time. they told me to back my friend up but i was just shook as they were full on annihilating me and my friend. i then blocked my angry 'friend' but yeah. what should i do when i see her next? also i love every single one of your vids and hope you find an apartment
DRAMA: Me(Isabella) and my best friend (Hannah) are almost juniors in high school, and we have been friends sense the 2nd grade. We stood with each other through covid and all but she’s always been a flakey person. When highschool started we IMMEDIATELY fell into different friend groups, however, I still always tried to contributed to the friendship and make plans but she never went through with them. She admired her new bsf (Grace) more than me and it sucked. (I hated her bc she smokes, vapes, and cheats). Hannah is extremely Christian so it was weird for her to hang out with these people. During that time Hannah and I got into multiple fights and disagreed over many things. Finally, months later, Hannah comes crying to me saying that Grace was shit talking her and spreading rumors about her. I comforted her but all I wanted to say was “I told you so”
Move on to beginning of sophomore year. Hannah and I were staring off strong. But of course again, she finds a friend group of SENIORS to become a part of, yayyy… they become extremely close, and you know the rest…This time it sucks because they can all drive her around places so they were always together which made me extremely jealous. On Hannah’s “sweet sixteen” she decided to invite all of her girlfriends from her group of seniors, and me. And I’m glad that she invited me, but she hardly talked to me the entire time. I’ve always been a firm believer of “ if the grades don’t touch neither should you” but obviously they were all friends until literally out of no one Hannah says she’s talking to a guy (Preston) and he is a senior. Hannah (a sophomore) ends up going to prom with Preston. Other than him both of us have been single for our entire lives so this was a turning point for her. There was constantly a lot of “I love my boyfriend” and a lot of kissing each other goodbye in the hall I’m not a fan of him bc he’s a weird creepy grease ball senior who graduated a few days ago. So yeah, she hangs out with him alot. And I got her to call me and play Roblox together but she was texting Preston the entire time.
So Ben, or anyone, am I just being incredibly jealous, or is she a bad friend??? Pls help😭

DRAMA: So ive been dating this guy for a while, but i never told my mom bc she’s homophobic and transphobic, and the guy im dating is trans (FTM) and i have been scared to tell her for months. For the past 2-3 months my mom has been trying to accuse me of talking to strangers and like sneaking out and stuff (Literally dumb stuff) and she took my phone at 6am and went through it and found out abt my boyfriend🙏 and to make it worse my mom literally knows them, like we all have a big friend group and hang out all the time so my mom knows who my bf is (she either forgot or doesn’t know that they are trans). But pretty much for the past 2-3 weeks shes been telling me abt how weird and disgusting i am whenever she gets drunk, and she said she was taking my phone away over summer and that im not allowed to talk to my bf anymore, like their is sm to this but i cant really explain it well 😭🙏

Or change whatever in your account that'd make him not able to find your account. I don't know how tiktok works.
But whatever you change would just update in the messages, right? If he looked at the old messages on tiktok, it'd probably show if you have a new profile picture and name, right?

you stop using tiktok is what you do, that hellhole isn't good for you, not just because of the rampant privacy concerns but also about how they engineer you towards addiction

DRAMA: so i catfished this girl into thinking that i was a guy ,i found videos and photos of this guy on Pinterest ,somehow she completely fell for it and we started dating ,a few weeks go by and she suddenly finds the guy's acc on tiktok (btw we are chatting on tt) she searched him up on Pinterest and found ALL of the photos i have been sending her ,i didnt answer her after she asked me if im catfishing her(she also sent me screenshots of the evidence )...WHAT SHOULD I DO!? ,should i block her?
