As someone who sales adjustable bases on a regular basis, I want to point out the adjustable leg height capability can be very important to individuals that need to have their feet on the floor at bedside. Many seniors are concerned about overall bed height. The ability to sit on the edge of your mattress and touch feet to the floor can help reduce falls.
I'm glad you made this comment. I am putting an adjustable frame together now and there are 6 long legs and 6 short legs and because the directions made no mention of this, I am assuming that it is all about bed height. I'm waiting on a phone call from the help desk to confirm. I just assumed that I would want the long legs, but you have made me stop and think the short legs might be better for my routine activity, Thank you.
Are adjustable bed frames available which fit INTO the framework of an existing wooden bed frame? My wife wants an adjustable bed but doesnt want to have to get rid of our existing wooden bed which is fairly fancy, to get the adjustable capability. I told her i dont think that type of adj bed frame exists. Am I right or wrong?Thank you
@@whocares0316 I talked to a salesperson this weekend and he basically said look at the adjustable base as a box spring replacement and that it should fit most beds (not all but most, not sure about older ones though) He suggested look at the dimensions and measuiring it out.
Hey, I need an adjustable base or bed that can get shorter while I'm not using it. If it can get 1 1/2 feet shorter I would be really happy. If it gets 3 feet shorter then I'll be in heaven!!! Thanks!
I appreciate this video, my son is newly paralyzed and knowing the legs adjust on these bed frames is very helpful. He will be using a wheelchair and being able to adjust it for ease of transfers in and out of bed is awesome. We are learning how to help him get comfortable in his new life, us not knowing anything about being paralyzed is difficult. Thanks for your videos.. KimF.
Really loved the video especially that you included a view of the remote. The only thing I really wanted to hear about was how loud the adjustable frames were when they moved.
I thank your for your rapid fire analysis. My take is that, just like everything else out there, the shopper needs to itemize what criteria and needs to be prioritized, and then go for it. One of the most important aspects of an adjustable bed should be the concern over durability, especially the motor--it does all the work; I wouldnt want to have to replace this every year; i would love it if you could research some technical aspects that relate to durability--again primarily the "power train", because I cannot find anything online that addresses durability
I also agree about wanting info on durability. I have a King size bed and I’d prefer no split, but I know that would be a lot of weight for the motor compared to 2 Twins like the Split King. So yes, please update this video with durability info. Thanks! And how did you learn to talk so fast?
As a 75 yo who has been sleeping in a recliner for over a year, I really appreciate your complete review. Still confused but with a little nore info. Thanks.
Adjustable base beds are a great option for you. We have spoken with a number of customers who were previously sleeping in their recliners because they could not get comfortable in their bed or it was actually making pain worse. Try an adjustable base bed that has the Zero G position which alleviates lower back and helps with circulation, among other benefits.
I've been sleeping on an adjustable base for years now. I have a few bells and whistles but rarely use them. I would recommend the basic model in any adjustable bed. If I were in the market for a new adjustable foundation, I would probably go with the Temper-Pedic based on your review.
Given the folding of these frames, I would appreciate it if you would do a video on mattresses that contour well with the frames as some just lift and don't track the shape very well... 👍😎
Question none of the mattresses seem compatible with adjustable frames, sure the frame moves but the mattress then sticks up awkwardly due to the coils and foam. Is there a mattress that's specifically designed for adjustable bases? Also massage in any frame is a gimmick, you won't feel much more than a vibration; it's a complete waste of money
Will you please please do a review on adjustable beds with lumbar support. I know the importance of it and whether I am laying sitting, or driving I feel so much better with lumbar support not just up and down which seems to be all the rest of adjustable beds. what about the reverie, or the Rize contemporary ?
I liked the description of Nolah baed base. But it looks like they don't have the head tilt mode in their current models anymore. I just called them, and they confirmed. Now, I'm debating which other option to pick, or still keep the Nolah option. Great video btw
Curious if any of the options tilt in a way that you remain in line with your nightstand? Seems like most tilt forward as opposed to tilting, yet scooting up the headboard so you don’t lose the nightstand. Hopefully someone has an answer. Thanks
Also would be nice to know how to connect a headboard to the frames. Also would be nice to know if the frames can be taken apart to get them up stairs, even though I am sure it is not recommended.
Thank You for this video, I've been considering an adjustable base for a few weeks! So this is perfect! *Answer: I would go with the Dream Cloud Adjustable Base because it seems to have the best value for the money in my opinion. The lighting underneath would be nice, but I could always use the base's own USB Ports to put LED Light Strips underneath*
Why don't you do any with the wall hugger feature and ones that have a Velcro strip that holds the mattress, instead of a metal bar that will crease the mattress?
Please make a video measuring the degree of incline of each adjustable bed. I want 90° or close for using my pc laptop in bed. Sealy Ease 3.0 is the best I have found so far.
Do you know if there are any options without legs? I got an Ikea frame with drawers below and I wanna be able to keep that. I’m not sure if with the legs, this base would fir in on my current frame. Thanks in advance, great video!
My overall choice would be the Dreamcloud base. If the features are compatible with one of my wishlist beds, I'd love it. The high end features and reasonable price. Thanks for this review, its great learning about enhancing my sleep investment.
Can these adjustable bed frames be used with a headboard, footboard and side rails once the slats are removed? Does it just fit inside the frame? Thank you Betty
I love that beautiful American flag! That tells me you are a patriot!! Great videos! We will be getting our bed mattress and adjustable bed frame here! Thank you!
Excellent video on adjustable base. Wondering, if I can install this adjustable base on top of a wooden storage bed (discarding the foot block comes with these bases).
One feature that would have been nice to know is how big the box is when it shows up. I have a very tight corner to make and do know that some of the bed frames will fold in half making the queen size 40 by 60, however not sure which ones do, so would have been nice to know if these do fold in half or not.
I just purchased the Lucid L600 mainly due to the price. It was on sale and was only $50 more than the L300 which was on sale as well so less than $650 for the L600 and right at $600 for the L300. I said, heck, might as well spend the extra $50 and get Bluetooth, massage and extra presets.
I will love to have the Tempurpedic.Your reviews are awesome and full of all the features and the best information on every model.Very easy to understand all the bells and wisles.Good luck on your channel. We all need to learn how to buy and select our bed frames. you new friend Carlos.🙏
I don't see any videos with the basic info: How does this work on a queen bed with a deep mattress and pillow top? I also have a headboard and footboard and I use a comforter. No one explains how that actually works. All the videos show no covers on the bed so you don't see how the comforter goes up and down when the adjustable bed is in motion. Nor does it show how it actually works with the footboard. Furthermore no one explains how the adjustable frame would fit inside your current bed frame with the rails on the side. I understand I have to remove the box spring, but how do I know if the new adjustable bed frame fits inside my 'box' (the headboard, footboard and side rails)? That's the most important question.
You have already answered all of your own questions. The adjustable base is a little smaller in dimensions of whatever bed mattress your getting, if your existing queen setup fits, so will your adjustable frame. Your comforter and sheets are held in with the little bar at the end of the bedframe. The adjustable base, doesn't change any of the dimensions
Thank you for this valuable information. I am in the market to update my 20 year old Number bed. I feel that the new ones may be a bit overpriced. And that the best way to go maybe go with separate components. Mattress and frame. I have seen one frame that tilts the entire frame up, stating that for side and facedown sleepers this may be the best way to go. Unfortunately I didn't see such design in your reviews. Could you recommend one?
My dad loves Zero Gravity with his Tempur-Pedic base! My mom...not so much 😅 Personally, I would go with an option that provided a usb port for convenient charging. But my ideal bed frame is sturdy yet lightweight. I would totally enjoy more bed frame reviews!
I’d go with Dream cloud. It’s affordable and has some pretty good features. I really appreciate this video! I’ve been thinking about theses and wondering what the pricing is like!
Nice to see the unboxing as I assumed all adjustable base would be bulky. With that I like that Lucid is affordable making it a good high rise dweller option. Great info.
Good review - after watching I was really interested in the Nolah. Unfortunately, they don’t sell the model you’ve reviewed anymore (reached out to them today). The remote is different and no more head tilt. Any updated reviews coming soon?
Can you put a full size adjustable bed and mattress into a queen frame ? I know there will be about maybe 3 inches on each side not filled , but will this cause an issue ?
I am truly thankful for your videos!! I am in need of a new bed & I really think getting an adjustable frame would help alot with my back & neck issues! I live with severe physical disabilities and am very curious if this mattress might be as comfortable as it appears. I would truly appreciate your response. Thank you Tammy
I would love an adjustable base but I’m terrified of it getting stuck in an upright position. I liked the top of the line TempurPedic base. Give me those bells and whistles! 😂

Your videos are so helpful. I've been looking for an adjustable frame for a while now. So because of this video, I am finally able to make a decision. Thank you guys.
Thanks JD and Team! I like the Ghostbed Adjustable Bed Base features but wouldn’t complain if someone sent me an Ergo Extend? Ok, Ok either one? On a more serious note when you next speak with these adjustable base manufacturers could you ask them to put locking wheels on their bed bases? For both safety and proper cleaning it is useful to be able to be able to move these things?
What about Puffy's adjustable frame? Their adjustable has a lot of the features like adjustable leg length and isn't their warranty the same 101 night as their mattresses are and have lifetime? Have you reviewed all the Puffy's as well as their adjustable frame?
I have the bed frame and it works great. I didn’t want all the features that many beds have. Adjustable beds as a while are notorious for breaking and therefore have limited warranties as to what they’ll cover. You can preset one setting which is the only feature I don’t like. It is difficult! I was never a person who liked to lounge in bed. Once awake I was up. Now I am in a horribly uncomfortable hospital bed. Miserable!
Really loved the video especially that you included a view of the remote. The only thing I really wanted to hear about was how loud the adjustable frames were when they moved.
Wow, did not know I needed an adjustable bed frame until I saw this. Great job reviewing all of them!

Yes. I agree. I would love to hear more on the durability. I understand most bases are made by one company, L&P, so I’d like further info on that.
I also agree about wanting info on durability. I have a King size bed and I’d prefer no split, but I know that would be a lot of weight for the motor compared to 2 Twins like the Split King. So yes, please update this video with durability info. Thanks! And how did you learn to talk so fast?

I have a purple and it works well with the adjustable base.
That’s exactly what I’m wanting to know! Started researching today!
I would like to know about purple as well!
Yes what about mattresses I’m thinking of going with Wayfair products as they come with the matress
Full foam or hybrid with pocketed coils
I’d go for the top tier Tempurpedic. I don’t care about massage, but I like all of the adjustments. Under bed lighting is awesome.
Question none of the mattresses seem compatible with adjustable frames, sure the frame moves but the mattress then sticks up awkwardly due to the coils and foam. Is there a mattress that's specifically designed for adjustable bases?

I just followed the ghost bed link and it does not have three zone massager. It's only two.
Any possibility of testing the Big Fig Adjustable???
Thanks again for review of adjustable bed. I was leaning toward the Ghost Bed Adjustable, so good to see other bases I can try.

Have you done a review on members mark adjustable base?
I am curious if you think pillow tilt would help someone who has to place extra pillows under their neck to curb the pain and coughing?
what adjustable base thats compatible with Nectar Premier Hybrid King? have to be available
i LOVE the dream cloud. For the price you get so many features and it's something I would splurge on
When I went to the Nolan website, it didn’t advertise the head tilt feature. Confused about whether they have it or not.
What would be a good adjustable base for a heavy person?
Thank you for making this video-it helped me very much in my search of finding a new bed frame.
With Dreamcloud and Nectar being made by the same company are their bases the same product?
do any of these have a backlit remote... that is a feature i think no one mentions
GhostBed's does
I would go with the NOLAH. I like the features for the price.
Great departure from the norm. I never thought that a base was affordable to now. Thank you for this
The underlighting is really cool... Didn't know that was a thing!

Thanks for the review. Always top notch reviews
