I think I understand why people enjoy this stuff now. Wearing a suit must allow them to act different because people won't be able to see who they really are. It's like texting, you'd act and say things you wouldn't say in person. And for antisocial people, it brings out a brighter side of them.
not really, its more like being our true selves. on the outside you guys see a normal human. but when we put on the fursuit we're letting people see how we see ourselves

One thing I've noticed is that furries are the some of kindest people I've ever met. People make fun of them, but that only seems to make them stronger, somewhat empowering actually. Numerous friends of mine have actually admitted to being a furry, and it makes perfect sense to me. I guess I've been adopted into the Fandom you could say, but I'm fine with that. Yeah, we're all weird, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I just wish that there wasn't so much hostility on the outside of the fandom. I've seen people hurt because of this, and I'll never forget that. I don't see people being beat for liking video games or anything else of the sort, but I have seen people beat because they are a "furfag". I'm not asking for people to understand, I just don't like seeing others hurt mentally or physically.
+Randomgamee why would you want to be normal, the definition of normal is predictable, generic, expected and in basic terms, boring. I myself couldn't stand a life like that
+Blue Blooded Fiend Not sure how much time you spend on the internet, but furries are some of the biggest drama queens I've ever met, and since internet is anonymous, they're among the nastiest people I've ever met. Obviously I enjoy anthro art myself, but I'd never associate myself with the furry fandom because of the nasty reputation and because of people like Alan Panda, Chewfox or Alix Henriol that happen to be a part of it.
I know no one at NBC will ever read this, but here goes nothing. Thank you for finally portraying this weird, caring, cluster of a fandom in an unbiased light with what seems to be at least a semi invested reporter. It's nice to finally see something big show us in a way that's not a reporter running out of the room from embarrassment or telling that they did some nasty, perverted thing in some random place. It's nice to see that you could at least shed a neutral light on us for the world to see us. Thank you -Barrett

I'm not a furry, but I think it's super neat that all these strangers can act like best friends around each other without fear of judgement. I mean, I wouldn't go on my own, but if a friend invited me I wouldn't turn it down. It seems like an awesome community that just likes to have fun and be comfortable
I’m not a furry whatsoever but this was actually pretty cool. If they want to dress up as animals and dance around and be happy, then good on them, they’re living life to the fullest.
Same, I'm not a furry too but watching this makes me happy because they could express their inner self and bring their characters to live. That is nice.
this made me cry. i know this comment will just end up in the void, but i've never come to terms with my interest in this fandom. i've been telling myself i have nothing to do with them, and seeing someone from outside the fandom going in so positively and with an open mind made me realize that it's what makes me happy... sometimes. i'm still not a furry but i really enjoy drawing anthro characters, and this made me feel safe with that.

Jonathan Jones Supporting a mental disorder like this is not healthy! It should not be supported for the same reason doctors are against supporting schizophrenic delusions.
My dear furries, if anybody's going to judge you for just doing your hobby, just plainly ignore them and dont get defensive. If a person that is your friend is hating you for doing what brings you joy, then they are not your friend at all. True friends always accept each other. By the way, if they dont like furries yet they are not bothering other people for being a one, then just let their opinions to be. Not all people who don't like furries are instantly bad.
Couldnt be more true.... exept when the person starts insulting you. Trying to destroy your suit and/or starts talking about s€x. All have happend. Luckely they are normally escorted out of the building within minutes and/or are charged with distruction of property.
TO PEOPLE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND FURRIES (coming from a young fur)- We are just people who are interested in anthropomorphic animals (animals with human characteristics) And we create our own characters and dress up as them to bring them to life
3 years ago I commented on this video, a scared 13 year old wanting advice on how to start drawing anthros and not get bullied or harassed. I'm 16 now and heres what I've learned. Whoever thinks drawing a dog on two legs is a crime, probably needs to get there brain checked. If you arent harming anyone, and you arent promoting things that are obviously illegal/unethical. Then dont let people with nothing better to do, bring you down. You are your own person built of flesh, skin, muscle and blood all unique. It doesnt matter what the other person says, it's what you want to do in the limited time you have on earth.
I'm actually okay with furries when they're wearing the suits, they take a lot of time and effort into creating the characters, in drawings and fursuits, but when they take off their mask and they're a 50-year-old man... That's a bit different. :/
That is who you call a greymuzzle in the fandom. They are either older fans or anyone who has been in the furry fandom for a certain amount of years. I don't really see a difference between that and a 50 year old man cosplaying at Comic Con and I've seen a lot of older people cosplaying there xD
I know right there’s getting hugged by an 18-24 year old man/women But I do see how it would be kinda weird for him to take his helmet off and reveal a 50 year old man But yknow it is what it is. It’s not hurting anyone so whatevs
+Mitchell Prosser I'm fairly new to it but still know quite a fair amount of it. Just know that it's all about being original or yourself and that your not hiding, your being yourself in another body
*****, one thing I have learned in the furry fandom is that most Furries are really helpful and understanding. Being a furry is all about self expression.
I really like how they say that furries are people with a fan of anthropomorphic animals, instead of saying "they are people that pretend to be animals". This makes my day that even though some people find their fandom to be a bit strange, they still show respect. But seriously guys, whats with all the hate?
This is what the world has become. Every day, we judge people based on their appearance, race, and their actions. By putting on a fursuit and hiding their identity, they are no longer afraid of all that. I just think it's kind of sad how people have to go to a specific place and have to hide their true self to not be judged and express their own personality.
I doubt you realized bringing up Jewish people along with WW2 is disrespectful and racist. You can criticize innocent people as much as you desire, but bringing up specific topics such as race is shameful.
I love this. I'm glad she actually looked into it, asked questions, and tried to see if it was for her, instead of staying on the negative side and thinking that's the only side to furries. This was honestly a really nice video. Props~ :3
DatKatTanjy The only reason why they're still going around is because ignorance is still apart of humanity. People who refuse to educate themselves and only spit out insults are the ones that fuel the bad rumors.
I was very happy to see such a well put together report that didn't soley focus on the sex and the negative. She focused on what being a furry is about, and actually hit it on the head pretty dang well. Was dressing up for her? no. did she judge those who it was for? nope. and that's what makes this beautiful.
huge kudos on the professionalism shown by the reporter. it gladdens my heart everytime i see the fandom represented in such a non-biased and good spirited way.
@@Guy-lk3rw I feel sorry for you thinking all furries are 'losers', they just want to be unique ya know? Who wouldn't love that? "No Russian" is a mission in the 2009 video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and its remastered version, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. In the level, the player participates in a mass shooting at a Russian airport, although the player is not forced or told by the game itself to shoot any civilians and may skip the level altogether without penalty. "No Russian" is noticeably more graphic than any other level in the game. The plot of "No Russian" revolves around Army Ranger PFC. Joseph Allen, working as an undercover CIA asset, who attempts to gain the trust of a Russian terrorist named Vladimir Makarov. Game designer Mohammad Alavi was heavily involved in the level's development. Alavi wanted the level to serve as a catalyst for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's plot, and create an emotional connection between the player and Makarov. Much of the level's development was spent designing the massacre portion, which Alavi did not want to feel too contrived or traumatic. Members of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's development team were polarized in their opinions of the level, and several game testers expressed disapproval, including one game tester who refused to play the level at all. "No Russian" sparked significant controversy for letting players directly participate in a terrorist mass killing, and it became a popular subject in both gaming publications and major news publications. Journalists described the level's plot as illogical and derided the ability to skip the level. Due to the level's graphic content, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was subject to censorship in international versions of the game, including its entire removal from Russian versions. Journalists have since discussed the importance of "No Russian" to the video game industry. Level content[edit] See also: Gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Before the single-player mode begins, a warning message notifies the player of the option to skip the level should they find its content "disturbing or offensive"; if the player chooses to bypass the level, they do not miss any achievements and their progress in the game is not penalized.[1] "No Russian" is the fourth level in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's single-player campaign.[2] In the level, the player controls Joseph Allen, an undercover CIA operative tasked with infiltrating and gaining the trust of a Russian ultranationalist terrorist organization led by Vladimir Makarov.[3] To accomplish this goal, he must participate in a mass shooting at Zakhaev International Airport in Moscow.[4] "No Russian" begins with the player in an elevator with Makarov and three other gunmen. Makarov tells the group "Remember, no Russian" - an instruction to only speak English in order to frame the attack as being committed by Americans; the group also uses American weaponry.[5] After exiting the elevator, Makarov and the other gunmen proceed to shoot at a large group of civilians at an airport security checkpoint.[3] The player then accompanies the gunmen as they walk through the airport killing any remaining civilians.[3] "No Russian" is noticeably more graphic than any other level in the game-civilians' screams can be heard throughout and the crawling injured leave blood trails.[6][7] The player is not forced to shoot any civilians, however, and may instead walk through the airport as the massacre unfolds.[1] The game does not explicitly encourage the player to shoot civilians, and the gunmen do not react if the player does not shoot.[8] The player can shoot the gunmen, but they will retaliate, causing the player to fail the mission.[8] Once the player exits the airport, they enter a firefight with FSB agents, some of whom have riot shields.[2] The agents must be killed in order to complete the level.[9]

There’s a “bad side” to every fandom or group. Take Christians, some are horrible people and go against their own laws, but most are kind and loving. Same with furries. There are the few messed up ones, but most of us just want to make people smile. Also you’re welcome to argue with me in the reply section if you’ve got nothing better to do with your time cause I’ll argue right back. :D
I think there are some Christians that think that they are better than everyone else and like to condemn people or something

I think I understand why people enjoy this stuff now. Wearing a suit must allow them to act different because people won't be able to see who they really are. It's like texting, you'd act and say things you wouldn't say in person. And for antisocial people, it brings out a brighter side of them.

This is what the world has become. Every day, we judge people based on their appearance, race, and their actions.

Before the single-player mode begins, a warning message notifies the player of the option to skip the level should they find its content "disturbing or offensive"; if the player chooses to bypass the level, they do not miss any achievements and their progress in the game is not penalized.[1] "No Russian" is the fourth level in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's single-player campaign.[2] In the level, the player controls Joseph Allen, an undercover CIA operative tasked with infiltrating and gaining the trust of a Russian ultranationalist terrorist organization led by Vladimir Makarov.[3] To accomplish this goal, he must participate in a mass shooting at Zakhaev International Airport in Moscow.[4]
"No Russian" begins with the player in an elevator with Makarov and three other gunmen. Makarov tells the group "Remember, no Russian" - an instruction to only speak English in order to frame the attack as being committed by Americans; the group also uses American weaponry.[5] After exiting the elevator, Makarov and the other gunmen proceed to shoot at a large group of civilians at an airport security checkpoint.[3] The player then accompanies the gunmen as they walk through the airport killing any remaining civilians.[3]
"No Russian" is noticeably more graphic than any other level in the game-civilians' screams can be heard throughout and the crawling injured leave blood trails.[6][7] The player is not forced to shoot any civilians, however, and may instead walk through the airport as the massacre unfolds.[1] The game does not explicitly encourage the player to shoot civilians, and the gunmen do not react if the player does not shoot.[8] The player can shoot the gunmen, but they will retaliate, causing the player to fail the mission.[8] Once the player exits the airport, they enter a firefight with FSB agents, some of whom have riot shields.[2] The agents must be killed in order to complete the level.[9]
Frankly surprised the top comments are for the most part really respectful
Yep considering how much people love to hate everything ever(Im a metalhead, punk, rock, LGBT individual, artist, writer, and apolitical so I have always been watching out for hatred for many months now)
Nope the top comment is a negative one lmao

Im a random nien yer old gamer and I think furrys r stoopd and sould burn bc i cant do common reserch. (-_-)
You can *smell* the obvious distaste for furries from the reporter.
Eh, true.
True, true
I wouldn't say distaste...More confusion. It's not like she hates us. She just doesn't "get" it, which...I mean, I AM a furry, and I don't get it, so how is she supposed to? XDD I just love the weirdness of it all. She may just be more into normal stuff. She did still try a tail, and actually talk to some furries, which is more than I can say for a lot of people who aren't in the fandom.
Eh, you're not wrong, pal.
Voltage 831. And what is that reason?
Well these comments are the whole Tik Tok app
