Whit all do respect greetings and congratulations for your great work Mr Trujillo, iam a volunteer whit the US veterans Vietnamese, Laotian ,Hmong , community's i had the honor to work whit the family's of "General Vang Pao" and "Ly Toung" i plan to help all my San Diego Vietnam Vets till my last day of life.
I was a little girl when the Vietnam War was in full blast. I was always so scared of watching the TV because every channel had it on. I had two older brothers, so I was scared that they had to go.My mamacita was always praying the rosary when this war was on. Later on in life, I worked with a gentleman who did serve, and he told me stories of being in the war. Some were funny, but most were very devastating. He used to suffer from PTS. He told me that for the longest time, he never told anyone that he was a Vietnam Vet. Because people would hate them. War is never a good thing it is evil to the core.
Obviously you spend too much time impersonating a "Real Man." I have worked with both straights and gays, and gays don't give machístas a second thought, they are too busy living their lives, but straight vatos are always and ever Jittery as hell about gender, and living in abject fear that they will be called "joto." I worked for Low Rider Magazine, and I knew ahead of time I'd run into stupid machístas talking their lame and socially destructive mierda. I am going to lay it on you realistically. The Mr. Machos in the world are not the brightest bulbs in the chandelier. Love it or leave it.
I dislike the language.... Stereo typing. Not every Chicano spoke or speaks like that. For a Mexican to have wrote it like that ? I wish it would of been different.
This movie is about Mexican Americans not Mexican Nationals and they weren't speaking Spanish listening to Corridos they were immersed in American culture and music, so this movie Sucks!
