Lmao, but seriously it makes me feel old, like i've been on roblox for 6 years now (i think more even) and i remember how i used to play all of these games as a kid, roleplaying and all, making my own outfits, and it might feel out of context but it makes me so sad to see how some kids nowdays just don't do that anymore. Kids don't want to be kids anymore and they absolutely want to grow up faster bc they're being pressured by social media and so on. Like sometimes i wish i could go back to those times where i was making up stories and playing with friends where i was pretending to be Jeff the killer 😭😭Those were fun times.
***Basically a summary*** - For Royale High, it was killed off because people weren't roleplaying anymore, the trading hub is FULL of scammers, we're all growing up, bigger games replace it, it's not what it used to be (I feel like it's gotten worse, old Royale High is better), and stuff in the game was/is too expensive to the point the developers seem greedy and/or just want people to overwork themselves over a pair of heels or something in a computer game which won't even be important later. I understand it's a game of royalty and diamonds, but shoes, even boots or heels, shouldn't cost around 70k! - For Meepcity, it was simply killed off because the party feature was removed. It was removed because people would do EXTREMELY inappropriate things around kid players in the game, like sexual activity or online dating. I obviously understand why they were removed, but they were apparently the highlight of the game and it went downhill because of the removal of parties. I just wish the people would understand they put that on themselves if they did all that nasty stuff at the parties 😭!
In my opinion, the meepcity parties had potential to be this fun thing to socialize with other people, BUT THAT WAS NOT WHAT I MEANT WHEN I SAY SOCIALIZE😭

Specific items became sought out were sold for hundreds of thousands of diamonds. To keep up with how quick some people gained money the developers had to make items more expensive. Now in royale high the rich get richer and the poor get poorer
I stopped playing Royale High because it takes too long and alot of work leveling up, it also started becoming one of those games where you had to pay just to enjoy it and it also brought back bad memories i had with an ex-friend who kinda forced me to play it all the time with them when i didn't really enjoy the game to begin with.. As for Meep City, i stopped playing it because it got majorly boring and everyone on there were extremely weird.. i also kept seeing hackers on there which is not fun to deal with
I was sad about MeepCity because I never actually went to THOSE parties. I was an OG around 2017-2020 smth like that I don't remember. It was just a peaceful game where you can make houses for me😭 I went to the roleplay parties, so like restaurants or just cosplay in general!!! But seriously though it definitely is different now. it was more bright before. Now it's dark and sad and disgusting. 😭😭😭
I used to love royal high so much, I would play it nonstop with my cousin, and I made so many memories during 2020. For me personally, it was just getting overwhelming, and the community was so toxic at the time. There was a large group of very kind people but for me atm there was no inbetween. The game is beautiful and so much time was into it so no shame to the game. But more shame to the community. It's like midnight for me so I'm probably gonna reread this and not understand it. One time in like 2023 or smt I joined meepcity bc my friend wanted to, and we entered the school and literally sm was happening but the worse is that some weird disgusting guy started privately messaging me tryna scare me and talking weirdly and using like freaky tones and talking (using stuff like "~") he also said stuff like "what would you do if you were locked up in a room with a guy" smt I don't really remember MIND YOU IM A MINOR and I felt so uncomfortable. When we tried to confront him he pretended were crazy but still then started messaging my friend, like dude you ain't sneaky... just a straight up creep.
I used to love royal high, but I stopped playing because everything was too expensive so I got very very bored with the few items I had, and with knowing that i would never be able to get any good items (I rarely ever get robux, and even so, the price of diamonds is way higher than it should be)

I hate how they make the prices so unbelievably high, but then barley give any ways 2 get diamonds fast, then they put a lot of cute items out but there just 2 damn expensive. They should give us jobs 2 do in the game I could literally name many jobs that could work with royal highs them 1. A bakery 2. A pet store 3. A minor (like 2 dig for diamonds) 4. Fashion designer

And people became impatient because we got a whole bunch of promises that simply weren't ever kept for whatever reason. Also the fact that they full on purpose made it wayyyy harder to farm for ANYTHING.

haven’t finished the vid yet, but in my opinion both of those games fell was because the things that made them popular were gotten rid of (meep city lost role playing servers, rh got expensive, laggy, and all about trading instead of roleplaying) so instead of rh being a dress up game it became a trading and diamond farming game
this was such a great video! i too am very nostalgic for Royale high. The first campus was around when i was 14 and i would play it religously with my best friend. It was so fun to watch this video and see how far royale high has come, or fallen. Sidenote, may i ask how you got footage of the first campus? can you go back to the first campus in the now royale high? i'd really like to revisit it for nostalgia purposes

I do agree that RH was killed by lack of updates (especially on campus 3 even though they said it was _almost_ finished) and the fact that it is not beginner friendly at all Like, it was supposed to be a game for roleplaying, right? Now it's all about being glued down to your screen to get a single decent item... and sure some people still roleplay, but very rarely :/ This is just my *opinion* but what I absolutely hate about the current RH, are some of the reworks like that one valentine bodice (i forgot what it's called but it used to have cute laces), and the modern "masculine" body, it's so ugly.

Royale high started dying even before campus 3, now they have campus 4. It was cause of the lack of updates.
