I record in 5.7k 60fps
The key to long battery is to set up quick capture.
I just press record, camera turns on records. When finished press stop. Camera turns off again.
I can have it like that all day.

External mic adaptor
Skype / laptop mic strapped inside the helmet.
Pretty simple stuff :)
