hi.
what kind is the name of the tool that is erased on the palm t-shirt?
What clothing packs would you recommend that are the most versatile? (Eg pants that can double as shorts or being able to turn a tshirt into a long sleeve shirt )
I don't promote products on this channel mate. :)
Great video and save money!
Glad it was helpful!
interesting video, thx for the tutorial. I'm wondering if people who buy cloths on daz3D and modify them to re-sell afterward on the same platform is legal ? I mean, the t-shirt in this video have to be made from the ground-up, there should be some kind of copyright infridgment involved (for the reseller).
You can't resell the whole asset, that would be theft. You can sell a texture pack which is entirely your own work.
Totally not legal. This technique may be questionable as well. I think only really "legal" way is to some how extract the UV texture from the model, but with paid models that may be against their licensing use.
Great video. However, I was wondering if this can be done in Blender instead of Photo Shop?
Blender isn't image editing software. You can edit the UV's in the material editor in blender but that would over-complicate things.
Of cause you could use the texture paint tool in Blender. But as Game Developer mentioned, Blender is not an image editing software, so your result will probably come out undesirable. However, placing decals could come out more precise since you can actual place them in a 3D environment, where in Photoshop placing decals on a cut-up UV map will be more of a guesswork if ever the parts of your decal have to seamless match up on both sides of the cloth parts.
great tutorial
but what should i do if i don't have photoshop ?
Use literally any other image editing software.
@@GameDeveloperTraining thanks man
One question, can i change more than just the texture like transforming a t-shirt into a dress or i can just change the colours ?
@@FreenJames Not unless the Geometry is sufficient. In most cases it's not possible.
Can you show how to do this with hair?
Possibly in a future video. Texturing hair is different to clothing as each creator uses different structures for their hair. Some use strips, some use strands, some use solid meshes. This is why it rarely goes well when trying to use one creators materials on another's hair
@@GameDeveloperTraining Good to know, thank you.
Can i export daz3d outfits to unity
(Only outfits)
Usually the same way that you would export anything. Although you need to check the license if you intend to use a Daz Studio item for something other than rendering
