Note: This recipe isn’t overly sweet, which I like. If you prefer a bit more sweetness, feel free to add extra sugar, honey, or maple syrup. At my cafe, I used to add double the amount of sugar in this recipe. It also depends on what fruit you're using. If you're dowsing it in maple syrup, like me, it probably doesn't need more sugar.
you're most welcome. I love baked oatmeal so much. Just remember, it's pretty fresh if you cut it straight away. I usually store it in the fridge after it's cooled down, or I freeze some of it. I hope you enjoy it too.
When I baked this I used a 9x13 pan and it took about an hour and 35 minutes. I’m assuming the pan Lee used is bigger but I didn’t have anything bigger than that! I made this as a prep for the week for my family of 6 and we are all very excited to eat it!
Hi Carla, yes, I can tolerate oats if they are wheat free. However, when I first started making this many years ago, it was so delicious that I ate too much and ended up with a reaction. So, I stayed clear for a while. But nowadays I can tolerate them again, I just don't go overboard eating too much at one sitting.😃 My local IGA now sells an Australian brand that are wheat free, and they are organic and only $7 for a big bag. Are you not able to tolerate oats at all?
To be honest I haven't tried. Just not game. What is the brand you get from IGA? If I can get hold of it I'll try it then. I used to love my porridge yrs ago😊
@@carlajordan3119 Just try a little bit at a time, oats are so yum, I buy the Australian Brand called "Red Tractor, Wheat Free, Organic, Creamy Style Rolled Oats"
You can use 1 tablespoon of vinegar per 1 cup of milk, or you can use 1/2 teaspoon of bi carb soda per 1 cup of milk, this will also sour the milk. And you can use whatever milk you like, i.e. soy, lactose free, almond milk. I hope that helps.

Looks and sounds absolutely amazing 👏
Yeah, I love it. It's not too sweet, so if you prefer it sweeter just add a bit more sugar.
This looks amazing (once again!) Can't wait to try it.
Grateful thanks for your excellent tuts 😊

I hope you enjoy it. Yeah, it can take a bit longer, depending on what pan you use, also ovens vary in temp a little.
Thanks Lee. I have seen that one somewhere. I did a google and it seems maybe Coles might have it. Am going to check that out today if I can.😊❤
i hope they sell it
Oh Lee, do you eat this? Are the rolled oats guaranteed GF. I wish I could, it looks amazing but I'm not game😢
