Loredump: The Black Dragonflight, whose leader was originally called Neltharion, was charged with defending the deep places of Azeroth. He had the title Earthwarder. Black dragons are often associated with magma for that reason. Neltharion and his dragons heard dark corrupting whispers from the depths. They turned to madness and evil. Neltharion was renamed 'Deathwing' and we, the hero PCs, took him out in an earlier expansion, Cataclysm. Wrathion is a young dragon whose birth circumstances purified him of the madness that afflicted most of his flight. He is still susceptible to the whispers, though he hasn't grown up hearing them. Sabellian was sent by Deathwing to another world/plane of existence on a mission. That other world did not have whispers, and so Sabellian is somewhat less affected by the madness of his father so far. Both of these black dragons believe themselves to be the heir of their father's broken legacy and they didn't know about each other. There is one other prominent Black dragon, Ebyssian, that also protected himself from the dark whispers by living high on a mountaintop in disguise. All the mad black dragons are dead. The surviving ones are embarassed of their legacy, and are eager to prove themselves. They want to reforge their dragonflight into something strong, something to be proud of.
The dark whispers came from ancient beings imprisoned in the world called 'Old Gods'. They ruled prehistoric Azeroth in what was called The Black Empire. Since they were imprisoned beneath the earth, they were able to corrupt Neltharion who's duty brought him in close proximity to the Old Gods. We don't really know what Old Gods are. They look like masses of flesh and tentacles eyes and mouths. They are somewhat mysterious, but many characters in the game think that Old Gods are responsible for mortality and flesh, and that they want to reconquer Azeroth.

Heroic Leap is a great mobility tool to move into and out of battle. It is also fun to move around the map in unpredictable ways. I've climbed paths and taken short cuts that you couldn't walk up with Heroic Leap. It can also come in clutch to hop out of the way if a Dungeon/Raid boss is coming in with an AOE attack.
Congrats on the 500 subs! It's been fun watching you take your time leveling and experiencing wow. Your content feels super natural and its nice to see someone genuinely interested in the game and its various stages. I look forward to seeing you progress through the game and with your channel. Heroic leap is a good mobility tool, it also does a bit of aoe damage, so can be used to open if charge is on cd or just to gain some ground. If you are falling you can use it right before you land to prevent a death from fall damage.
Thanks so much:) And awesome! What did you think of FFXIV? I love Final Fantasy games and have only dabbled in XIV. I liked what I played of it though!
Keybinds, you can combine shift and other buttons (or control or alt if you have agile fingers) to double or triple your keybinds, so you can place buffs and cooldown abilities within your reach. Battle shout awareness is just something you have to repeat and make sure you have it up. My first MMO was Everquest, Wrathe server, I loved playing the bard in that game! Glad you're enjoying the journey still! two Oathstones have been activated, 3 remain!
Indeed my friend! Everquest huh? Nice!! Never played it myself but of course I know of it. From what I've heard it was really important for it's time! I've never played a bard in an mmo but I did recently in Baldur's Gate 3. Had a blast playing some tunes in the chaos of battle lol, if I can get the chance I'd like to play a bard type class again.
Since you were asking about keybinds. A lot is preference. I have a friend who bought a mouse with 15 buttons but that felt weird to me. Things I use: I combine everything with "shift" so like shift-q , shift 1 2 3 , shift f x ect and for buffs / mount up I use alt-1 2 3. you can also use alt q ect ect if you prefer it that way. Dont stress about it! But it is easier to transition to it if you do it earlier :D the goal is to bind "every ability" to the keyboard from "I use often" to "I use hardly" (like 1 hour buffs) and Gl in diablo 4 with your hc character :p
Great advice, I seriously appreciate it! And thanks, been playing softcore in d4 since it dropped and after all the hundreds of hours finally felt like I wanted to give hardcore a go. It's a very fun challenge!
congrats on the 500 subs! if you want to get that mount of the celestial horse you can go to stormwind rn and find the tender's trader you should have enough to buy it!
Thank you! I grabbed it (and some other goodies) after seeing someone mention it, thanks for letting me know as well!! I love the mount. I didn't even know about the trading post tender until today!
Heroic Leap has a very short cooldown-- therefore many warriors use it as a mobility tool because it's faster than running. It's also a good way to tag a crowd of mobs all at once instead of using your cleave (area damage) abilities. Per that snail you found, there's indeed a pet but also some rideable magma snails (and a slug!)
That is AWESOME!! I'd love to see the Netherlands firsthand someday. Seeing other cultures is something I love to do. Thanks for tuning in. Yes 2024 has been wild so far, any chance we can get for some positivity and simplicity I think is a good thing. This game has been that for me and I'm so glad I can share that with you all!
To answer your earlier question, yes sabellian is new to us even long time players because he was off doing stuff i guess lol it was weird. I wasnt too bothered by it myself tho 😂 gratz on 500 subs
Gratz on your 500 im enjoying your adventures, i cant afford a decent pc to run wow so i enjoy watching others play instead haven't played for like 4years 😢😢😢
It's generally a good idea to use the keys around your movement buttons (ASDW) as additional keybinds, because they are close to your fingers anyway. Like: 12345 QERT F ZXCV
Congrats on 500 subs! To answer your question on the keybinds there is no right or wrong answer. I would argue that they are the most personal feature in a game where they are so many abilities to press
Bro, congrats! I remember like, what, a week or so ago you posted video 1? Now you've got 500+ subs. This is awesome, us old vets of the game love seeing you experience and be enamored like we were so long ago. Keep up the vids my friend. Enjoying them thoroughly!
my tip for Keybindings is to use them like the kitchen sink. Throw everything you can into them. I myself prefer a 3-tier system, working down my UI. The F1-F12 keys, 1-0 keys, and then the top row of letters. I have variants through out my letter kb's that use Shit+(insert letter here). The key is to just find what flows best for you and how your ability rotation works. Just be careful when you do start changing them, because it can get janky fast. reset to default is my best friend at times hah.
For keybinds, I like to have a standard between all classes. I bind Q, E, R,T, F, G, H, Z, X, C, and V. I also use shift and control modifiers. R is always my main mobility. T is always my interrupt on DPS and always my dispel on heals. F is always a defensive CD. V is always my major CC. I rebound Q & E from strafe to be major class CDs. An MMO mouse can be very helpful. I believe mine has 22 extra buttons. It mostly depends on what you're playing, though. Holy priest has and will always overwhelm me with too many buttons, while havoc DH has like half the buttons. I main balance/resto druid and BM hunter. I have leveled everything except warrior and DK to 70 in preparation for TWW. It's gonna be a great time!!
keybinds are very subjective. usually you should put down keybinds and then start training yourself to associate those keybinds with specific abilties types rather than copying what other people do.
@itszouty of course! Someone shared those tips on carrying over keybinds from class to class and shift/control modifiers with me loooong ago. It's saved me so many headaches as an altoholic.
Here for it Zouty! Welcome to Club Azeroth 😂 you’ll be here for a while. So sit back, grab those snacks and drink. And adventure away! Stay wholesome as you are and the content will be great. 👍🏼
@@itszoutyAlways! I’m a fan of all blizzard games. D4 is my other addiction but WoW takes the cake for me. Also Heroic Leap is a dive in and smash/catch a run away or get away and live ability.
The story behind the Black Dragonflight and the end result in this x-pac is pretty awesome. Not sure if you'll get through it before you work your way in to The War Within, but you may since you have 40 more levels to work through before you can get to it.
A tip for choosing keybinds: Try to cluster keybinds related to damage, defense and movement close together in the keyboard. This will help your brain associate a particular intention with a region of the keyboard. Another tips is to put abilities you tend to use in sequence actually sequenced in the same order in the keyboard.
Speaking of movement: Heroic Leap is used as a gap closer in places where you cannot mount (goes further than charge) or it can be used to actually leap into elevated places or across regions you wouldn't normally be able to walk to. It's an actual leap not the traditional video game leap.
Great tips as always! You are an awesome guide for me so far, and it means a lot. These comments will be remembered as my wow journey unfolds. Really appreciate you!
@@itszouty I'm glad that this is helpful. I hope that the less time you spend looking at your action bars and clicking things the more you will be able to observe your surroundings and enjoy the journey 👍
Hey if you keybind your action bars it will be easier to reach your most used attacks if you have all 3 action bars with key binds. I use tab for target 1 thru 5 for main attacks F1 thru F5 for the top bar and Q thru Y for the bottom bar.
@@itszouty No problem. Its funny when you talk about not rushing. Back in vanilla and BC everyone congratulated others when they dinged a level cuz it took so long. No mounts til lvl 40, only flightpaths. Now you can get to level 70 in a few hours I think. I go the lazy route and level all my alts during pre expansion events. Most of them still had the gear from DF pre event.
I *never* leave comments on videos, but after I saw how much you liked the "Sparklehorse" mount, I felt like I should let you know that you can have that in WoW too RIGHT NOW! (Sorry if this ends up being super long, I just want to make sure I explain e v e r y t h i n g, lol.) The "Celestial Steed" is currently up on the Trading Post. The Trading Post (located in Stormwind and Orgrimmar) is a new thing added in Dragonflight, and it features a rotating stock that changes at the start of each month. The stuff sold on the Trading Post are fun little cosmetic items like mounts, toys, armor appearances, etc. The Trading Post uses its own currency called "Trader's Tenders". You get 500 Tenders every month by simply logging in, and you can earn 500 more by completing different tasks. So a total of 1000 every month. If nothing in the Trading Post interests you that particular month, you can just save the Tenders to use them later. Some people use all of their Tenders every month, while others are sitting on hoards of thousands, lol. You most likely have already completed some of the tasks this month! You can view the Traveler's Log (the tasks) from the red & gold book in the bottom right corner. Completing tasks fills the bar at the top; it takes 1000 points to fill the bar, and every 200 points you unlock 100 Tenders! If you manage to fill the bar for that month, you also get the extra item displayed at the end. If you head to Stormwind now (you can just take the same boat that you originally took to the Dragon Isles, and once you're done in Stormwind you can just Hearth back), you can go look at what the Trading Post has to offer this month, and collect your current Trader's Tenders! There should be a chest somewhere near the Trading Post building that gives you your monthly 500 + whatever extra you've managed to collect so far. Here's the catch tho: The Celestial Steed goes for 900 Trader's Tenders... Meaning that will be most of your monthly budget. Not to mention there might be something else that catches your eye. But no fear! At the bottom of the Trading Post screen there's a slot where you can "freeze" one of the items, making it carry over to the next month even when the rest of the stock changes. And it will stay frozen unless you 1. buy it, or 2. remove it from the slot. (I have had some poor mount frozen for months now, because I always end up spending my Tenders on tons of small things, lol.) But if I were you, I might just buy the Sparklehorse anyway; it could be a fun way to commemorate the start of your WoW journey AND the 500 subs. Oh, and congratulations, btw! XD One more thing I just now thought of: if the Trading Post chest gives you more Tenders than you should have for this month, it might be your uncollected Tenders from July.
Hey there, I REALLY appreciate you taking the time to tell me all those details. I did not know this was a thing with the tenders!!! Seriously had no clue lol, SO, I'm 100% logging on today to check that out. You're awesome! Thanks for watching :) OMG I had way more then I was expecting. Got the Steed along with some other fun stuff. :D
You should really pick up the addon Immersion. I don't think you should over do it with them, this one is just a huge qol addon that will make your questing experience more enjoyable, as a new player now would be the best time for that.
I wouldnt say there's common keybinds but id say common modifiers , using Shift, Ctrl or Alt with the key of choice so you could have 1,2,3,4 ctrtl+1, shift+2 etc so on. take your time leveling and exploring the casual experience is the best (coming from a 20year hardcore player) the game loses almost all its magic once you take it somewhat seriously to a degree (able to do most new content in 1-3days usualy unless timegating)
Wrathion and Sabellian: "I am heir of Neltharion." You, a bit later: "Who is their father? Are they brothers or something?" Sorry, that was a bit funny to me. XD
Copy and Pasting this tip from my comment on your other video in case you didn't see it! You can actually see the numbers for mobs health on their unit frame. You can go into the settings and under interface - Display you can change a setting called "status text". It gives you a few options to choose from for health numbers. Personally I always have mine set to "both". IMO knowing how much damage your abilities do AND how much health you need to get through with each mob should help you feel more confident in combat!
We didnt know Sebellian before dragonflight. Wrathion heading into this expansion was the obvious choice for leading the black dragonflight but with another prominent and tactical black dragon who isnt corrupted- his spot is now up for debate. The reveal was cool, but it was less about recognizing both but more that recognizing the impact Sebellians existence will have on the story
The lore is really awesome to see picked apart and given some context like this thank you! Gonna be a fun part of making these videos getting to see all of your guys knowledge regarding the story/characters/world.
...The celestial FUCKING steed! The first store mount introduced to the game back in Wrath of the Lich King. That mount is INFOMOUS.

Since you were asking about keybinds. A lot is preference. I have a friend who bought a mouse with 15 buttons but that felt weird to me.
Things I use: I combine everything with "shift" so like shift-q , shift 1 2 3 , shift f x ect
and for buffs / mount up I use alt-1 2 3. you can also use alt q ect ect if you prefer it that way.
Dont stress about it! But it is easier to transition to it if you do it earlier :D the goal is to bind "every ability" to the keyboard from "I use often" to "I use hardly" (like 1 hour buffs)
and Gl in diablo 4 with your hc character :p
Great advice, I seriously appreciate it! And thanks, been playing softcore in d4 since it dropped and after all the hundreds of hours finally felt like I wanted to give hardcore a go. It's a very fun challenge!
congrats on the 500 subs!
if you want to get that mount of the celestial horse you can go to stormwind rn and find the tender's trader you should have enough to buy it!
Thank you! I grabbed it (and some other goodies) after seeing someone mention it, thanks for letting me know as well!! I love the mount. I didn't even know about the trading post tender until today!
@@itszouty aye! its a pretty nice imo monthly cosmetic store, and its all part of the game, hope to see you flying in your new mount soon! :P
Sabellian is last seen in TBC era in Outland where he was with his black dragons, both him and Wrathion are kinda sons of Neltharion aka Deathwing.
I want to see him in TBC, something to do in the future for sure!
We love to see new players join our make believe world.
Honestly, this is the PERFECT time to start as a new player with the new expansion coming out soon.
Congrats on 500!! :D
Grats on the 500!
Thank you my friend!
Heroic Leap has a very short cooldown-- therefore many warriors use it as a mobility tool because it's faster than running. It's also a good way to tag a crowd of mobs all at once instead of using your cleave (area damage) abilities.
Per that snail you found, there's indeed a pet but also some rideable magma snails (and a slug!)
omg a rideable magma snail??? I need one asap!
Loving your content bro. Its simple and wholesome but thats kinda what we need in 2024. Watching you all the way from the netherlands!
Ohhhh I see! Thx!!!
Happy for you bro ❤
Thank you! Happy to have you here watching the videos!
Gratz on your 500 im enjoying your adventures, i cant afford a decent pc to run wow so i enjoy watching others play instead haven't played for like 4years 😢😢😢
@Matrix23. thank you very much for watching. I hope a pc finds it's way into your hands soon!
@@itszouty I heard rumors they might bring wow to Xbox then I wouldn't have to spend 800 to a grand on a pc just to play warcraft
@Matrix23. oh really? I haven't heard about this, but I hope they do so you can jump in the game!
It's generally a good idea to use the keys around your movement buttons (ASDW) as additional keybinds, because they are close to your fingers anyway.
Like:
12345
QERT
F
ZXCV
Also use shift to duplicate them to have twice as many keybinds, shift + 1, shift + 2, etc.
600 subs !! woo-hooooo 😍😍😍
Woooooo!!!
Congrats on 500 subs!
To answer your question on the keybinds there is no right or wrong answer. I would argue that they are the most personal feature in a game where they are so many abilities to press
Thank you! And okay that does make sense! I'll mess around with them and fine tune it until I find the right fit. :)
Bro, congrats! I remember like, what, a week or so ago you posted video 1? Now you've got 500+ subs. This is awesome, us old vets of the game love seeing you experience and be enamored like we were so long ago. Keep up the vids my friend. Enjoying them thoroughly!
It's all very exciting, I'm really happy to be seeing the reaction to vids being the way it is. I will definitely keep them up! More on the way!
Yay!!! Congrats!!!!
Thank you!!!
my tip for Keybindings is to use them like the kitchen sink.
He specifically asked for keybind advice. I was just letting him know what I do. He can edit it to his heart's content. @@gamerunknown9472

@gabbyb9418 thanks for the input on that! I really appreciate you taking the time to share :)
@itszouty of course! Someone shared those tips on carrying over keybinds from class to class and shift/control modifiers with me loooong ago. It's saved me so many headaches as an altoholic.
congrats!
Here for it Zouty! Welcome to Club Azeroth 😂 you’ll be here for a while. So sit back, grab those snacks and drink. And adventure away!
Stay wholesome as you are and the content will be great. 👍🏼
The welcome is appreciated, truly!
I plan on getting through it for sure, I'm invested at this point!
I meant to ask about this in the video so you read my mind!! Thank you!
Congratulations, Itszouty! 😉
My first MMO was TBC, then next one was WOTLK, then MOP, then Legion, then Shadowlands, then Dragonflight, then Cata
Nice!! You've gone through so much of the game! I hope to do the same over time. Thanks for sharing!
You can turn on auto loot from the options menu, if you don't want to individually click every item when looting them.
I *never* leave comments on videos, but after I saw how much you liked the "Sparklehorse" mount, I felt like I should let you know that you can have that in WoW too RIGHT NOW! (Sorry if this ends up being super long, I just want to make sure I explain e v e r y t h i n g, lol.)
The "Celestial Steed" is currently up on the Trading Post.
(I have had some poor mount frozen for months now, because I always end up spending my Tenders on tons of small things, lol.)
But if I were you, I might just buy the Sparklehorse anyway; it could be a fun way to commemorate the start of your WoW journey AND the 500 subs. Oh, and congratulations, btw! XD
One more thing I just now thought of: if the Trading Post chest gives you more Tenders than you should have for this month, it might be your uncollected Tenders from July.
At level seventy, you can play the new expansion. It’s a big deal. :)
XD

Good luck zouty! We here in the institution salute you!
Thank you for the tips, it is greatly appreciated. :)
600 now wtf
That mount is old. Think u get it from download and play hearthstone
Runescape was my first. WoW is my last.
I've always wanted to give runescape a go. I might have to dabble sometime. Just out of pure curiosity!
You only get to be a noob once so take your time and enjoy it
Loving it! Won't take it for granted for a second!
