This is my story as well. Came as a student, happened to fall in love, got married and stayed. Had kids, got more degrees, felt really deflated over the 2016 election outcome. COVID hit and the lies were too obvious to ignore. Yet, I thought with Biden we would finally go back to normal. Nothing was further from the truth. I come from an immigrant family that arrived in NYC in the early 50’s. My parents were always astonished at how people born here lacked any appreciation for what they were born into and the opportunities that existed right under their noses. I think this blindness grew over the decades until reality set in and people in this country finally woke up to the fact that the path they were following was a false one. Consuming false truths for such a long period of time took a lot to overcome, but reality began to shed some much needed light and only the most blinded on the left couldn’t recognize that it was time for a major change.

I'm only 30 minutes in so I don't know if you bring this up, but the RNC with Lara Trump as cochair, recruited 230,000 poll watchers, plus 500 lawyers in each swing state to ensure there were no shenanigans.
States that could also tightened their election rules from the pandemic chaos of 2020.

    • @geoffreylotz3661

@@geoffreylotz3661 Anyone who wants to learn about what happened in 2020, they should google Jesse Binnall's testimony before the Senate in December 2020.
"Over 42,000 people voted more than once. Our experts were able to make this determination by reviewing the list of actual voters and comparing it to other voters with the *same name, address, and date of birth.* This method was also able to catch people using different variations of their first name, such as William and Bill, and individuals who were registered both under a married name and a maiden
      name."
That alone was above the margin of victory in that state.
Nevada did mass mail-outs of unsolicited ballots but they're a bit sloppily-doppily in maintaining their voter rolls. Dead people, people voting from vacant lots and nonexistent addresses, people who'd moved out of state, dead people, noncitizens... In all, Binnall's team found over 130,000 unique instances of voter fraud in Nevada.
Honestly, y'all's election system is fucked. You should adopt a centralized federal voter database like Elections Canada. You can run your elections the way you want state by state, but the voter ROLLS should be maintained by a central authority that records deaths, births, citizenship, names, name changes, addresses, etc.

Ukraine negotiations already underway, Houthis & Hamas have ended aggression, EU asked to buy all LNG from USA, & Mexico has deployed troops to secure the border on our behalf. It’s been TWO DAYS! I’m honestly so happy for Trump as a human being. He’s endured the most irrational hatred imaginable stared down public humiliation, bankruptcy, imprisonment, and death and yet still persevered. Regardless of politics that’s incredibly inspirational and really sets an example for Americans to abandon this obsession with victimhood and to start believing in ourselves and our country again. Aside from that, I’m glad the new Air Force One will now go back to the Trump design cause it’s pretty bad ass and Biden only ditched it out of spite. I’m also glad that when the World Cup is here in 2026, Trump simply won’t allow it to be a global embarrassment with junkies all over the place. Trump endured all this abuse not because he’s some far right ideologue but because he represents an existential threat to corrupt Washington. They threw absolutely everything they could at him and he withstood it all. Now I’m absolutely certain that every American will start enjoying the rewards that he fought to give us. I’m also expecting Trump Derangement Syndrome to be cured nationwide within the next couple years when once again he proves that he’s not actually Hitler. Also declassifying all the corrupt shit that they did to him won’t hurt either. Future is very bright for USA.

I’m a German living in Germany, and in my country, nearly all media portray Elon Musk and Donald Trump as the embodiment of evil, sometimes even going so far as to compare them to Hitler. This fills me with deep shame. 😢
As a liberal conservative, I prayed for Donald Trump (and Elon Musk) to win the election, and it seems that it worked. 🙂
In Germany, having a liberal-conservative outlook can often make one feel isolated.
Soon, I will complete my PhD in “(Mathematical) Systems and Control Theory.” As soon as I graduate, I plan to leave Germany for the U.S. or Switzerland, as I have lost all hope in my country. 😢
ADDENDUM: The term “liberal-conservative” can be somewhat confusing in the U.S. and has a different meaning in Germany. I’ve provided some rough explanations in the comments below.
„Libertarian centrist conservative“ seems to be a linguistic counterpart.

I think, the political landscape is shifting anyway and the traditional left/right/center order is losing meaning, hopefully in the direction of more common sense. I also rooted for Trump and Musk in this past election (totally). The U.S. has never seen something like this in my opinion. This is a new beginning, that fresh-minded people created.

Idaho does not allow anyone to recommend any kind of service outside of their state, including doctors, teachers and anyone of authority basically.
Tennessee enacted a similar law this year.
They label it as “abortion trafficking” and mostly applied to minors. Other states are looking at similar laws, others are challenging it but supposedly interstate travel isn’t a protected right even though Justice Brett Kavanaugh agrees with allowing free movement due to precedent.
I wonder how this will impact issues such as marijuana. Imagine getting prosecuted for doing something that is legal in another state. People complain California highway patrol and their enforcement of tint on outsiders, well it’s about to get worse if states can prosecute for cross state crimes cause it is illegal in your state.

There is no clear demarcation outside of conception (anything else is arbitrary). So in the pro-life view, you are forcing a resident of the state (the unborn child) to travel somewhere where it can be killed. Jurisdictional claims are valid I guess, but it appears to be a loophole for murder. Does the (let’s say female) unborn child not have a right to her own body, her own choice? Biology has made this difficult for us. It’s a seemingly impossible issue to solve. God bless and LETS GO USA

On the deportation issue, let’s remember that Clinton deported or removed 12M people, Bush 10M and Obama 5M.

I will be very disappointed if Trump does not follow through with all 15 million. Your first act in this country cannot be lying to us/breaking the law. It's indefensible. We are a (formerly high-trust) country of laws.

Obama’s figures on removal are very much skewed up because it includes people rejected at the border.

I disagree with their stance on illegals. Just because they are in search of a better life….doesn’t entitle them to skip the line …and stay. The VAST majority of them stay on the public dole for generations. That’s unacceptable

Yet the opposite is true where regions with less people control whole cities and economic centers. Why should Kentucky get more of a say into the president when they rely on the rest of the nation?
