    Next Step: A Manifold fully controlled through Hydros. Flow sensors on each output so I can tell Hydros how much flow I need on each one and it adjusts the valves and increases the pump power accordingly.

    YES! just what I have been asking for for a while. just wish there where two pumps on the sole. $600 to do AWC is pretty steep. would love to pick one up form my ATO pump from the basement too.
    basically I need 3 of these per tank.

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV  3 месяца назад +1

      The Sole can be used for AWC even as a single pump, since it is capable of running both backward and forwards. The Sole was designed to meet the needs of those who required a continuous dosing pump that could provide more than 100mL/min. Also, don't forget that this is not the last HYDROS device, and more are currently in development.😉

    Can you guys do a video on sulfer reactors?

    • @gordonellisjr331
      @gordonellisjr331 3 месяца назад

      Sulfur reactors and media is not a very popular Nutrient control method anymore. I looked into this myself. It's an antiquated method. Your better off Using Bacteria and carbon dosing to control your nutrients. Look into and learn about your microbiome and how it affects the nitrification process.

    • @davidmorits630
      @davidmorits630 3 месяца назад +1

      @@gordonellisjr331 yes there is a lot of hype right now on microbiome for sure and bacterias. The sulfer reactor is a bacteria based reactor which should add to the microbiome too. I have tried carbon dosing and it did not work well for me at the time. My tank was set up with live rock from multiple sources so the biome should have been decent.

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV  3 месяца назад +1

      Noted. We will most likely create a future video demonstrating the use of sulfur reactors with the HYDROS.

      I did a video covering AWC for Hydros on my channel. In that video I used two Kamoer pumps that can do 600ml/min. The size of the Dosing pump is really up to you with how AWC is currently supported and as long as it meets your WC needs.

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV  3 месяца назад +1

      Using the Sole in a fridge should not be an issue for the doser itself but depending on the contents being used may impact the dosing tubing.

    This is interesting - My question here comes in the programming aspect. Currently, there is a "dosing limit" per schedule of 500ml. Is there an update coming that addresses that limit or do I will I still have to run multiple schedules in order to work around this?

    • @jeffreybednarek9074
      @jeffreybednarek9074 3 месяца назад +1

      in an upcoming app release you will be able to program the Sole pump in "runs constantly" mode at any fixed rate (forward or reverse), in addition the "Depends On" control is available when continuous mode is enabled. This way you can turn off and on the sole pump in continuous mode based off another output profile (like the ATO profile or generic).
      As for schedules, the max dosage per schedule is being increased to 20000 when you enable the text box for a dosing schedule. The slider will still only go to 500, but if you expand it to text mode, you can do more.

    Possible to be more descriptive in your advertisements? Gives you the basics of what they do but not what the product is capable of now and down the line. Like the Maven. I really wanted this to work but the advertisements tell you that it tests and can connect to dosing units but wasn't really specific if it could rectify the problem similar to what an apex Trident does as I was looking for something pretty quick I went with Apex as I was sure as what it does. Just a suggestion for newbies like me

    • @TrevorHiller
      @TrevorHiller 3 месяца назад

      Can you elaborate on what you are expecting? What do you mean how it deals with the issue found? An auto tester (Neptune, Hydros, Alkatronic, etc.) just tests for you. It’s up to the aquarist to react and manage the data it provides or to create a program using the controller to execute and action to manage it. They all work very similarly. Some are just better than others.

      Think what he's getting at is is there a way to have the results of the maven make changes to the tank automatically ... basically looking to fully automate a system with in certain parameters with out being a programmer..... I think its what most people new to reef keeping are actually looking to do.
