  • Violent Night is basically Santa getting caught up in a Die Hard situation. Takes a bit to warm up but pretty fun once it gets going. Let's see about its sins.

    I loved this movie. It was crazy, stupid, and tons of fun. My only complaint was that it teased the most metal orgin for Santa, but barely showed us any of it. I would love to see a prequel of this showing how he went from Viking warlord, to Santa Claus.

    • @SheosMan117
      @SheosMan117 5 месяцев назад +38

      I've heard there's a sequel in the works, that may explore his origins more. (In fact, it'd be further along if not for the strike.) Also? It'd talk about MORE than just Santa. Like...well, it could become like how the Santa Clause movies do all the legendary figures, except R-rated.

    • @benjaminmayer6152
      @benjaminmayer6152 5 месяцев назад +20

      @@SheosMan117 that could be interesting. I'd rather them not explore characters like the Easter bunny and Tooth fairy though. Rise of the Guardians did a decent job of making them as not dumb as possible, but even then they were pretty uninteresting. They have to be careful to pick characters that can easily be adapted to some kind of bloody action packed origin story.

    A/C technician with 12yrs experience. Those are return air vents used for reading the temperature of air leaving the room being heated or cooled. Normally they have a filter over them but they are easily removed and often forgotten to replaced so yes that aspect is 100% accurate and not a sin. You do often have open vents it you attic or the area where your air conditioner is located. They also allow for air to return into what might otherwise would be a sealed area ensuring it doesn’t create a vacuum seal. Any house with ducted air con will have them.

    The point of the note on the present to mom was that they were going to flee before presents were opened, hence a note. She smiles because he's revealed that ironically, his betrayal has screwed over the thugs holding her captive. It's not a sing just because the answer comes later?
    I loved this movie. It's a perfect spoof of both Christmas corny movies and Die Hard. Family estranged by parent's allegiance to somewhat shady company, attends party on Christmas Eve invaded by group bent on stealing cash, unexpected guest goes against rules and wins.

I’ve never been one to have holiday movies I watch every year or anything like that, but I now watch Violent Night annually for Christmas. Saw it with the Stepdad and the brother, then got my mum to watch it with me at home in 2022, made sure to watch it last year and I will continue to watch it every year. 12:20 NGL, I was reminded of Dante swinging the Alastor sword around in the original Devil May Cry when I saw this.

    The "magic number" to save Santa was EVERYONE there.
    So, if there had been five people, and all five people believed, then yes. Five people believing would have saved him......

    The part with the hammer makes me think Eric Allen Kramer would've been aweome as Santa.

    I loved this movie. My friends and I have already started watching every year to make it into a Christmas tradition. I also loved the inclusion of the Santa Clause's "Tapu Gigio" bit in the end bloopers. I was hoping it'd be there and was not disappointed.

    Gotta sin your sin... I have an AC unit in my attic. It doesn't pull air from outside the house, the coolant cycles to a condenser outside the house to be cooled.
    Also, because of how my old house ductwork is onoy for my AC, I could feasibly make it snow only through one vent.
