If I may ask, did you encounter language barrier issues? Were you okay with speaking English in restaurants?
Amazing video. I'm your fan!!!
Appreciate you being here!
Lively Frankfurt, beautiful. Thanks for showing
Of course! And thank you for watching
This is such a smell heavy review, love it.
Thank you! Smells are so important to how we experience places
Maybe it is worth to mention, that pretty much all cities in Germany have a rule: no building may be higher, than the highest church. Frankfurt is the only German city that has skyscrapers.
I noticed that when in Berlin - the TV Tower of course being the exception
🔥🔥
👍👍 👍🤗
Thanks for watching! 😊
Amazing video. Very well done even though sometimes slightly confusing (but I guess since it's from the perspective of a tourist it's understandable and ok ^^)
The only thing I strongly disagree with as a Frankfurter (and sorry but it really made me gag 😅) is the music bavarian beergarden choice in the back. Not fitting and has nothing to do with us (we're in Frankfurt not in Munich 😉.... it's like making a video about NYC and coloring it with John Denver country music "Rocky mountain high" just becaus it's 'American' .... get it 😜)
But overall very nice. Love the video ❤
That makes a lot of sense! I'll admit I had a hard time figuring out what kind of music would capture Frankfürt the best - what genre would you say is the most "Frankfurter?"
@@asenseoftravel Frankfurt is a very modern metropolislike city that filled the gaps between the leftover buildings from times of old and has that unique apple wine culture that is very regional. So I think modern urban music choice as well as classical in a mix would suit it best.
Or german "Schlager" music from the 1920s-70s 🙂👍.... that will capture the city's spirit depending on the scenes the audience sees.
The sound of Frankfurt
I’m going there for the first time in a few days. I’m quite nervous, but your video has helped ease my anxiety.
I'm glad it was helpful! I hope you love Frankfurt as much as I did
Great video!
Frankfurt is also called "Bankfurt" and "Mainhattan "😊
I haven't heard those nicknames before but I will definitely be using them from now on!
@@asenseoftravel dont forget about "Krankfurt"
Just found this video 2 months before I go to Frankfurt. I love the concept of 5 senses in each city. I'm so excited to experience Frankfurt and you've given me so many food ideas. 😋
lovely video !! thank you
Thank you as well! I'm glad you enjoyed it
Small corrections: The shopping center is called "My Zeil" and the roof/viewing platform of the Main Tower is 200m high. The tower with antenna has a height of 240m.
Noted! Thanks for the corrections - but more importantly thank you for watching!
260 m height till roof , with antenna 300 m
They are builing now other high builing with 290 m till the roof
@@danitoni4741 You mean the Commerzbank Tower with 259m (300m with antenna/spire). And the other building you mentioned is the Millenium Tower which was basically planned with a height of 365m. Now their are planning two towers. Tower 1 with a minimum roof height of 288m (in Frankfurt the final heights are usually 5-15m higher than the original planned heights) and Tower 2 should min. 157m high.
@@kermitfrosch6559 yes :)
Frankfurt is amazing , they build there like crazy
The Four project is almost finished and will look awsome :)
Frankfurt is very nice city
Police should only take care or Junkies in centrum / Bahnhofsviertel
View streets only but it should be done
@@danitoni4741 Directly opposite the “Four”, the 206m high “Business Central Tower”, which is already under construction, is rising. This is a very strong condensation of this area. Also nearby, on the site of the new opera, a 160-170m high tower is to be built. And a 175m high tower will be built next year at the area of the old police headquarters. There's still a lot to come....
9:39 you walked past the old citywall (it's only remains at least)
12:44 not a frankfurter Würstchen. Rindswurst. Still very specific to Frankfurt, and actually preferable, but not quite the same
0:50 das ist einfach Ulrich Tukur xD
This clip was in the Old Sachsenhausen neighborhood
(he's a famous german actor)
Stimmt! Wahrscheinlich beim "Tatort"-Dreh: "Murot und das 1000-jährige Reich". Wurde im Frühjahr u.a. in Frankfurt gedreht. Seine Klamotten sehen auch danach aus.
@@moboe7719 Ahh okay. Freu mich schon drauf!
Que sitios son los de comida? Los del minuto 1
10:38 that's an s-Bahn - the real metro (u-Bahn) is a lot cleaner and nicer
Name and location where u eat or find the food u eat where u where eating...
No frankfurters ?
PLEASE!!! Its not NOT Bavarian Style.... there is a huge different between bavaria and hesse style from old buildings...
Understood! When I was solo travelling, I didn't have a guide to tell me, but the beautiful half timbers looked very much like what I associated with the Bavarian style (here in the US, most people associate half-timbers with Bavaria). But thank you for the correction
Was only there 2 days ago more than cigarette smoke drugs hash smell or whatever you call it in the USA. Plenty of grounds near the business area.
Kinda creepy that all the shots with yourself in them are mirrored….and there is no umlaut in Frankfurt btw
There s such a lot of factual errors, you really should get some advice correcting them. I understand its a well meant video, but still
it's a vlog not a documentary
@@InMyHead1996 lol
You keep on talking about Bavarian Architecture????? in Hessen???? If you want to say half-timbered or something, I am fine with it, but this is not BAVARIAN Architecture. Frankfurt is not in Bavaria and if you can't even get this thing right, I am wondering why I should like or subscribe to your channel. I am stopping right here.
That's fair! I'm sorry to have upset you so much. Have a great day!
(and my apologies. From what I understood, half timbered architecture is most commonly associated with Bavaria, hence Bavarian style architecture. But alas, I am just a guest in the cities I travel to, and by no means an expert).
You’ll find some beautiful half-timbered houses in the small towns and villages in Hessen. Definitely worth a visit. But it’s not Bavarian architecture - that’s a major error.
