@7:08 The tower of Oleviste kirik was the tallest in the world when it was built. @7:50 Toompea Hill was always the part of Tallinn where the foreign power occupying Estonia resided at any given time through history. Lower Tallinn was where the Estonian people resided. @17:46 You should look up an older photo of this building.... from the 1990's. 🧐 @18:11 Comfort food used to be plate meals with 1) a protein 2) a starch 3) salad 4) a different sauce on each! Estonian Rye bread came standard on the side. And NNNNOOOO substitutions... I would want to pair one protein with the other starch... swap potatoes for rice. My wife (Estonian) would always remind me: "No substitutions!" (Yes yes, Chief Didier from the film "Last Holiday"... "No substitutions!" And the first time I saw the film was on the plane ride back to USA from Estonia.... I watched it TWICE!) Good documentary film. Bravo for making it to the Estonian Open Air Museum.

Lovely, thought out presentation that really describes Copenhagen. Btw, "by" means "town" and best pronounced "beau" like the french way but with a hard short vowel sound like "buh". Well done! When you return, go to Lego Town for your inner child (probably the reason why the flagship store is tiny).

You got so fortunate to come when Lilac blooms, to me it is one of the best things in Oslo in late May - there are hundreds of trees in Oslo, but not in the Opera area of course. You can try walking from Skillebekk, it is a pretty nice place to start walking towards the Frogner kirke area - lots of pretty buildings and Lilac trees there. Then towards Uranienborg kirke - those are great areas to enjoy in late May because of Lilac. Also, I can recommend the Kampen district for its wooden houses.

Thanks for doing such a great job highlighting Toronto, my home town and the place that holds the biggest part of my heart. The city's multiculturalism is unrivalled and is reflected in the amazing food. Another highlight for visitors is the Don Valley walking trails and river. An oasis in the middle of downtown. I've travelled extensively and worked in the US for a bit. Every time the plane circled Pearson airport a lump would form in my throat. I was home. Your video brings all that to life. And yes, the Horseshoe Falls are THE falls to see in Niagara. Much more exciting than the US falls.

Hey! Guy in Toronto, here!! I just discovered your channel, and I love it so much!!! :D Toronto truly has a lot to offer in terms of international foods. Heck, there was even a Burmese/Myanmar restaurant here, for a bit. Sadly, she seems to have more or less retired now... ;( But her food was truly the best!!! :D There is another Burmese/Myanmar restaurant here, too, but it's also more fusion Burmese/Indian food. Still really good, though!! I highly recommend trying the Khao Swe coconut curry noodles and green tea leaf salad, if you ever get a chance to try Burmese food!!! :D Also, somehow, I feel like it's only people in Toronto who seem to know about having Somali food here... As far as I understand, we're one of the few cities in North America where Somali food really took off and became a thing cause' of immigration etc, the other examples being Minneapolis Minnesota in the States, and I think even Ohio, too...? And Perhaps one other place there. I don't know if I remember all my information with those correctly, but I know of Minneapolis, and they actually have more Somali population than even we do, although the numbers here are quite high, too. All I'll say is, it's genuinely some of the best food from ANY cuisine I've ever had!! Oh, and you really gotta try the tea and Somali ribs, too!! (Beef, not pork!! With their culture being Muslim, and stuff. :P And that's also how I made the discovery that I like beef ribs better, anyway, tbh. :p Lol) I've subscribed!! Hi Michael. Your videos have popped up on my recommendations a lot over the past year, and you have very interesting things to say. However, for the amount of content you have created and the quality of the videos your subscriber count is very low. I think a part of this could be the rehearsed nature of your presentation. I think a lot of people who watch travel content want to feel like they are there with the person in the location. Even if you are in your apartment you can get your feelings across as to what it is like to be in the city you are talking about. I think your videos would be a lot more engaging if rather than reading from something you wrote before the camera started rolling, that you gave us your opinions in a natural way. Eye contact is important, so if your eyes are mostly on your screen and only occasionally drifting our way it kills the connection a bit. Again, I like the things you have to say and the comparisons you make, but for videos that are supposed to be about the senses, some of the life is sucked out of it because of the style you have chosen.

Oslocat here, I think Stockholm has a bit more variety in restaurants, bars and coffee shops, more coherent architecture compared to Oslo which has a fusion of many styles which I think is a bit confusing. Oslo is quite big but the interesting places are in a rather small area, whereas in Stockholm I think larger areas give that same feel overall. I can def see that Norwegians could fall in love with Stockholm but also vice versa. We are lucky with being so close to the nature. Out of all the big metrocities I´ve been to in Europa and US I would say Paris is the most unique and perplexing one. Real stunner
