    I have watched dozens of videos for attaching pom poms over the last few weeks. Yesterday I Finally attached 4 of them to various projects I had on hold - and then TODAY your video pops up..... NOBODY else showed any of your tips! Can’t wait for my next pom pom project so I can use your ideas. Thank You!

    I've had several pompoms fall apart on me, no matter how tightly and securely knotted. Missing element? Glue gun. Thank you!
    And I'd tried the pet brush before with moderate success. Can't wait to try the flat iron, which looks like the crucial step going from "troll doll hair" to faux fur.
    Great tutorial.

    Hi, I was just thinking about doing this since I can't afford the real faux fur. But I wanted to check on RUclips to see if anyone else was doing it and I found you. Thank you so much for sharing and I love the tip about putting the hot glue on to keep it from coming apart.😊

    I really like this!!! For some reason I like the fur pompoms but personally wouldn't use them myself because I don't think they will wash well. This solves that problem. Look like fur but can be washable!

      I think with the button in place you can just remove the pom pom before you wash your hat. There really isn't any reason the pom pom would need to go in the washer, then it will stay nice.

    Ahhhh, the glue technique is clever! I've seen other strategies for keeping the pompom together but I'll have to try your glue trick. One thing: I would've liked to actually see the pompom get attached onto the hat, etc., just to see how that step is done and how secure it holds.

    Thanks for the video. I like the idea of using the glue gun on ALL pom poms to keep the strands from pulling out. I wonder how it would work to make a pom pom from faux fur yarn like Red Heart Fur yarn or Yarn Bee Haute Fur Yarn.

    THanks for the clear tutorial. I've subscribed and liked to see what else you have to offer. Like others have mentioned, homespun is a pain to knit with but great colors. I have to try these for hats and attaching on the end of zippers and hanging from purses. Hint. I leave the tied ends long and after I bring them to the inside of a hat I run them through a bigger button and tie. Holds the pom in place nicely.

    • @LittlejohnsYarn
      @LittlejohnsYarn  5 лет назад +1

      OMG, thank you so much for the tip. Homespun yarn has all the best colors. Unfortunately I typically buy them and leave it in my stash forever, lol. Pom poms was a great alternative

      The beginning ring of your hat leave a little hole. aka the magic ring or ch 4 join to first chain. A small button fits pefectly in there. I made an entire video and left out the most important part!
