Ed Coan, Pete Rubish, George Leeman, Chris Duffin and this guy all do BB Rows with heavy body English. Let's stop talking shit about that lift and start recognizing it as a phenomenal accessory
George Leeman also said he does Shrugs with 500 more pounds than he Deadlift because the Traps can handle an absurd amount of weight ... yet everyone still looks surprised
I used these 5 steps and now I'm deadlifting 1010 lbs with one hand at the age of 4 and the body weight of 50 lbs, thank you so much dude this really helped a lot. Ik it's not that much weight especially for my bodyweight and age but it's getting up there! :D
I hope everyone likes the video! I am confused though. Half of the comments say something about how skinny I am, and the other half are about how im on steroids. Do yall see a contradiction there?? So what is it then?
cailer Woolam they're jealous man. you're deadlifting twice as much as most of them and you don't look as big as the other guys on his channel cause you seem natty
cailer Woolam you're actually a huge inspiration to me because of our similar body types. my arms almost touch my knees too, and I'm 18, weigh 160 and can deadlift a bit over 500 conventional but I don't look that big either. Call me crazy but my goal is 675 weighing less than 170
look at his legs!!! how can they even support his torso let alone lift 900 f***ing pounds ???? that must be the biggest leg to deadlift ratio ever i have a lot of respect for this guy
The dude squats over 500lbs too.. He's a freak. But it also shows the difference between type I and type II muscles in relation to overall mass vs strength.
"But it also shows the difference between type I and type II muscles in relation to overall mass vs strength." How is that so? Marathon runners use mainly type I fibers and have no hypertrophy at all. He's bursting 900lbs of the ground and has way less hypertrophy than basically all the other 900+lbs deadlifters. What's your point?
"He's bursting 900lbs of the ground and has way less hypertrophy than basically all the other 900+lbs deadlifters." That's my point. His type II % has to be off the scale. Hypertrophy has nothing to do with type 1 & 2 percentages. You're confusing Type1&2 with sarcoplasmic and myophibrilar.
You're forgetting the last bit of your reply: " But it also shows the difference between type I and type II muscles in relation to overall mass vs strength.'" What difference between type I and type II in relation to overall mass vs strength? If that was your point and the type of fiber has nothing to do with hypertrophy, what point was to be made relating the fibers to a relation of muscle mass vs strength?
People seem to be more concerned with finding ways that these lifts don't help because of his limb lengths rather than trying to figure out how to get better.
I have to say this was proabbly the best training/workout video I've seen on RUclips so far. Everything well explained, all the excersises were different and awesome ideas that u don't hear the same bullshit everyone else says to do.
@@chaseadams8113 it seemed like mark heard the comment and shrugged it off. You cant laugh at stuff like that if your white or you might be labeled a racist ☺️
I tried these rows today and felt it in the exact spot he described. Was able to row 275 for reps. Movement actually feels good and I can see why it works
Love how mark bell is so humble and lets them explain even when he's a power lifting SAVAGE. Even if you wanted to could you find a reason to hate on the living legend mark bell?
You know, some days I like to think I'm strong when I'm the only person in my gym squatting over four plates. Then I come to these videos and see motherfuckers rowing 500+ for reps and talking about 45lb weighted pull-ups like it's nothing. That's cool, I'll just go kill myself.
so tip of the day, find what works with you and stick with it. . . then the hard work will speak for it's self. Great exercises though, found rows and shrugs are the best for helping a deadlift.
the body english version carries over more to deadlift because you're basically hercing it up with your lower back and legs. Which will probably work great as explosive lower back and leg work at sub maximal deadlift weight with the eccentric overloaded, and if you have a bulletproof lower back, it will benefit you. The Ebonics version is a better lat exercise, and a safer exercise, but lats are a stabiliser and not a primary mover on the deadlift, so it's not going to have as much carry over. I'm guessing the exact same momentum style row movement with no elbow flexion would have a similar carry over, and you could probably do more of them since lat and arm fatigue would not be a limiting factor.
I can nearly touch my knees when standing, I envy you dude, small arms are sick. better for bench press and calisthenics, plus your arms look bigger if they're shorter.
i dont give a fuck how long his arms are, his deadlift is crazy, no way around it. i saw this guy on insta maybe 4 months ago and hes now one of my favorite deadlifters. hes up there with rubish for me
No1 has ever lifted 900lbs without some use of PEDs. Hopefully the kids watching realise this and dont get their hopes up. And no, no HATE... huge respect to his achievements.
Can u do this with Tbar rows? I do have some help with the legs to pull the weight up then really focusing on the negative and I think that works great! I mean if I really wanna focus on my lats and sqeeze and shiet I would just do dumbbel rows but Tbar for me that is just all about overloading and moving alot of weight also I do believe having a strong back will build your deadlift, I did rackpulls and my CSN got used to the bigger weight at lockout and when I did the normal deadlift I got alot stronger so is the same thing here but he likes to do with rows instead but I think rackpulls is better.
I disagree with the "if you can't deadlift it you shouldn't be shrugging it". Why wouldn't you want to shrug more weight than you can pickup off the ground to overload your traps?
PvP SAAAN the way you lock out from a rack is going to be different than the way you position yourself to lockout from as low block or from the floor. the more similar these shurggs can be to a deadlift lockout the better imo.
cailer Woolam I completely understand what you mean and where the dude is coming from but for me personally I'll set up it up like an above the knee rack pull and go upwards of 585 for shrugs even though I can't deadlift that, my deadlift is around 485-500. I just prefer to overload then do some back off sets with like 315 and 405
PvP SAAAN you do realize the dude from the video, is the guy that answered your question here, right? Also, he has a point, using less than you can max pull will allow you to build more hypertrophy within your max capacity
Joseph Francisco wasn't paying attention, everybody trains their own way and what works for them. I do shrugs both ways from the ground and from a rack so it's not a big deal.
just realized that his row is basically a tbar row except using without doing it tbar style it's the same type of motion/range of motion etc cool variation.
"They laughed at my physique, I laughed at their deadlift max"

Steven Andrikopoulos alphadestiny as well
please don't compare alphadestiny to these monsters.
^ this
George Leeman also said he does Shrugs with 500 more pounds than he Deadlift because the Traps can handle an absurd amount of weight ... yet everyone still looks surprised
can some1 explain what is heavy body english is??

Dr Deadlift Pls don't even try to say you're natural
Lance Armstrong was on PEDs too
Wait what's the contradiction? You being skinny has nothing to do with steroids lol great lifts but this comment made no sense to me
wanted to go for 400 but decided to go for 900 thanks guys!
Max Mustermann yup I just deadlifted 315 lbs cant wait till next week, finaly I can show everyone in te gym I can deadlift 900
Wesley Hoi hope they do a "3 steps to deadlift 1100lbs easy" with eddie hall next
Max Mustermann does your snarky attitude get you anywhere in life?
Mr 350z Nismo did 315 for 5 reps in the gym and got a B- in my last exam today. could be worse
Mr 350z Nismo you must be a very fun dude at partys
look at his legs!!! how can they even support his torso let alone lift 900 f***ing pounds ???? that must be the biggest leg to deadlift ratio ever
i have a lot of respect for this guy
His thighs are tiny too 5:48 .. He is a genetic mutant. Unsuspecting people would laugh and say he skips leg day. They would be wrong.
The dude squats over 500lbs too.. He's a freak. But it also shows the difference between type I and type II muscles in relation to overall mass vs strength.

Hope people implement this stuff. I don't typically do shrugs or coan rows but I've noticed a difference already!
People seem to be more concerned with finding ways that these lifts don't help because of his limb lengths rather than trying to figure out how to get better.
Yes, thank you "natty" professor, I'm desperate for a 700lb deadlift and I'm trying these out.
He's the greatest hacker in powerlifting history
When I first clicked this I thought it was Layne Norton and almost closed the video, glad I kept watching.
when you gotta deadlift at 9 but gotta play minecraft at 10
lmfao
Shore Thing Fishing on
Edward Snowden deadlifts 900lbs
Absolutely Top Notch this made my night.
And then blows the whistle on how it was done.
"Body Ebonics" well played sir
famasfan10 had me rollin
Lol I was surprised when no one reacted to that
I have to say this was proabbly the best training/workout video I've seen on RUclips so far. Everything well explained, all the excersises were different and awesome ideas that u don't hear the same bullshit everyone else says to do.
Body Ebonics then proceeds to speak the queens english. I love it I thought u was the only one 😂
We want more Nsima on the channel!
homie said body ebonics and no one laughed, tough crowd homie that shit was funny as hell
I think it just went over their head or because he said it so fast they didnt hear him
@@chaseadams8113 it seemed like mark heard the comment and shrugged it off. You cant laugh at stuff like that if your white or you might be labeled a racist ☺️
I'm not gonna knock the guys legs but he defies physics with that frame dl 900lbs. 1 of the most unique and amazing strength athletes of all time
His back is huge
This dude is awesome! Seems super down to earth and very knowledgeable!
Really cool video, and definitely some great info. That's what makes ST videos so cool, always something different to take away from each one.
This guy is revolutionary
I'm impressed at how not fat he is for being that strong.
For real . he is lean, most lifters that pull that much weight are the big fat massive type of physic
Look at this guys leverages. His arms are so long he could walk on his knuckles if need be.
Yeah but with that long arms, bench pressing and overhead presses must be hell for him since the bar has to travel longer distance
Gol D. Roger nah, he has a video of him hitting 410 for a 3x3 on the bench. Clean too. Just insanely strong. Goals
TheHaiku2
he's just strong.get over it.
TheHaiku2 my arms barely go passed my nutsack 😑
That's what happens when you row 500+ and deadlift 900+. Arm natural limb stretcher haha. XD
Strong as hell. The guy has the ideal body build for deadlifts...long gorilla arms and wide shoulders
Deadlifting 900lb is never easy.... shit, I can only do that for a set of maybe 6 or 7 (not).
You know, some days I like to think I'm strong when I'm the only person in my gym squatting over four plates. Then I come to these videos and see motherfuckers rowing 500+ for reps and talking about 45lb weighted pull-ups like it's nothing.
That's cool, I'll just go kill myself.
LeBrons Hairline the pull ups aren't that hard, but the fucking rows are insane
Thanks supertraning, good quality content as always! 👊👊
Likes deadlifting so much he sneaks it in on shoulder workouts! This isn't a deadlift.. it's a shrug from the floor. I like it!
Nsima's rows seem like they're an accessory to bench, while Cailer's looks like a deadlift accessory.
Great video, would really enjoy something similar to this for squats and bench top
Too*
Guess this is nor far fetched to say - we all want more of this Cailer Woolam guy!!!
this guy just hacked powerlifting
so tip of the day, find what works with you and stick with it. . . then the hard work will speak for it's self. Great exercises though, found rows and shrugs are the best for helping a deadlift.
Thanks for the tips guys. I was gonna go for 450 today, but instead said, "Fuck it I'll do 900!!" #whateverittakes
Cailer was Team-No-Calves first rounder this year....Coach Omar building his dynasty
Dude is a fucking mutant lol #PeteRubishv2
No neck no rubish
looks like Layne tbh
Needs more washing machines
This is gold for me. Yeahhh buddy!
I see a lot excuses in the comments. And you wonder why
3:35 for a second there, i thought this was Silent Mike :(
The guy in the back obv.
Ye, me too.. :( miss times when mikey was in ST..
aaaw there there. I'll give you a bro hug
Jan Valda mike split from St?
Yes. It's been a while
noted and added to workout! This dude is a BEAST.
mark deserves more followers
That look on Nsimas face when Mark said he's the strongest DLer in the gym.
Some great ideas here, thanks for posting!
An incredible deadlifter. IDidnt belive it at first. His Bp and squat however is not at the same level. 429 lbs Bp and 573 squat.

do you do these all on an accessory day or after a deadlift/squat day?
awesome I'll be trying these tomorrow.
That was probably the most I've learned about lifting all at one time in a while
Ismael Echeverria I'm glad it was helpful my man.
Boy is strong so don't let the glasses fool you! Great info. Gonna give this a try on my next session.
That Ultimate Warrior wall tho!! I need one of those!!
That dude is a beast.
1. step: trenbolon, clenbuterol, anadrol
2. step: dianabol, deca, primo, enanthat
3. step: hgh
4. step: training, eating, sleeping
5. step: genetics, micro suplements
Strength and dedication from Doctor Deadlift
Long arms, and also a back out of proportion, you can see it at 14:06
This guy is one of a kind. I will surely add more lower back training.
Likeable and strong.. Respect
My faith is now a lot stronger towards a smaller guy doing a ton of weight without weighing 3-400lbs.
The bar barely goes past his knees when he deadlifts. With my little t-rex arms the bar hits me in the nut sack every rep.=[
Sam Smith i dont have short arms but i get the same effect its a pain in the dick
I got those little arms also. Sucks, everybody else those normal grippers and mine are like mini baseball bats.
Yea. some people are just built for the deadlift. some are built for the squat. I'm neither.
I can nearly touch my knees when standing, I envy you dude, small arms are sick. better for bench press and calisthenics, plus your arms look bigger if they're shorter.
fang, they're talking about deadlifting..
awesome vid man !
It's so specific.
WHAT? How can he deadlift 900lbs?!?!?! MUTANT
Always neglected shrugs and rows.. But I'll get back to em! I want a 700lb pull in the next 3 months 🙌🏾
Howd it go?
Chad come back and read
A blast from the past wow. I’ve since gone on to deadlift 815lbs. 🙏🏽
Good vibes. Nice vid :)
Definitely going to try these rows and learn some body english to get this stronk
This guy is a fucking god
i dont give a fuck how long his arms are, his deadlift is crazy, no way around it. i saw this guy on insta maybe 4 months ago and hes now one of my favorite deadlifters. hes up there with rubish for me
this guys got some beast genetics
was in the gym that day, was unreal
If I walked packed this guy on the street I'd think he was just some regular Joe Shmoe. Props to this guy.
his upper body / shoulder girdle area seems pretty developed , but ya I hear ya, especially if he was in shorts
No1 has ever lifted 900lbs without some use of PEDs. Hopefully the kids watching realise this and dont get their hopes up. And no, no HATE... huge respect to his achievements.
I want to hear more of this guy
Alex from Alpha Destiny would be proud!
Eddy hall does bent over rows like this
Andrew Cameron many ppl do it Ed Coan also advocated it,he was first guy to pull 900 sumo
Quite impressive intelligent lifter, want to see more stuff on youtube.
More Nsima is best Nsima.
Joe Rogan swears by the Reverse Hyper machine, I always hear him talking about it and its benefits for lower back health
epic video!
How do you do the bent over row without your lower back hurting? Everytime i go heavy it always stresses on my lower back. I need help
and even pendlay rows as well
1)J
2)U
3)I
4)C
5)E
Rowing more than my max deadlift LoL
This guy is pretty funny on IG too, i've been following him for a bit now.
These two guys had the same conversation like three times.
great video
Insane strength 💪💥
I haven't done shrugs since I used to train for bodybuilding. Guess they're coming back 🤷♂️
Why are they wearing those belts? Is it to prevent a hernia or something?
So wait exactly whats the actual difference between this movement and dumbbell rows..i dont really see that much difference if you think about it..
Can u do this with Tbar rows? I do have some help with the legs to pull the weight up then really focusing on the negative and I think that works great! Omg he replied to me on Instagram lol well he replies to a lot of people but still. This guy is a beast!
3:20 - which way indeed? The 1st guy did a version of a bent over row, the guy you brought in to compare did a pendelay row.
I wonder: how do you breath rowing like cailor? I am always scared about hurting my back.
I disagree with the "if you can't deadlift it you shouldn't be shrugging it". Why wouldn't you want to shrug more weight than you can pickup off the ground to overload your traps?

Joseph Francisco wasn't paying attention, everybody trains their own way and what works for them. I do shrugs both ways from the ground and from a rack so it's not a big deal.
Like I said, I completely understand with what he is saying, everybody has a preference.
"this is our strongest deadlifter in the gym and he's natty"
He didnt say that
John Smith his username and nickname is the “natty professor” he claims natty all over social media. Says at the end of the vid
What a monster
Came out the woooooooodwork! Haha
just realized that his row is basically a tbar row except using without doing it tbar style it's the same type of motion/range of motion etc cool variation.
Just turned 6 today hit 405 for 3 not gonna lie last rep went up so fast I tore neck
What kind of straps are they using?
WISDOM
Legit question. What type of underwear are the best for deadlift?
