We were the ones who helped Diesel Dave get unstuck! The footage might make it into a video sometime in the near future. It was a blast and we’re happy we could help!!!
I was having a seriously bad day. Everything seems to just be going against me lately. But this lame recovery put a big smile on my face and I needed that. Thank you!
Hi Heavy, My father, James Bauer, is a huge fan of yours. He is very gravely ill and is fighting hard in the ICU. But he has simply asked for some community prayer and well wishes. All the best and let’s keep hoping for a miracle recovery! -the Bauer Family

Thanks guys... now all I am going to be dreaming about is a Hellcat Gladiator. My wife walked in while I was watching this and said " why are you watching that? You can't watch that!" She knows me way to well! LOL great video!
You keep saying this was a lame recovery but living out here in Utah, it was fun to watch this snow recovery. It's the same type of recovery that a lot of us Utahns have actually done before; just not with as cool of a vehicle 😉
you can tell that lad doesn't get stuck much from the way he handled being pulled out. always keep tension on the ropes when you're moving, if you're getting ahead of the rope or there's slack you're giving her too much throttle bud.
The weight rating of the recovery rope is based on the PULLING, not PULLED vehicle. As such for a Jeep Gladiator the next size smaller rope would be more effective on high friction surfaces, and on low friction surfaces, like snow, two sizes small would be better, the physics is that with a "running start" when the slack is taken up, the rope stretches at a controlled rate to allow the momentum developed when the rope is still slack to impart a pulling force greater than the weight of the pulling vehicle when the slack is taken up.
The Black Hawk looked good in the background. I know it won't fit in your hanger as is, but I also know you'll have to find someplace for it under cover. I'll be waiting on that news or video. Your Gladiator made the recovery look easy! Beautiful scenery, too!!
Thanks HeavyD for all the continued videos of bro dozer yankum ropes and the quality. I just ordered one with your code and it made it affordable. I’ve been wanting one sense day one. Thanks buddy!!
I love watching your videos. I must tell you, however, that having grown up in real snow country (Fingerlakes Region of Upstate NY) and understanding what it takes to get people out when they're stuck . . . at 74 watching you guys makes me real tired :). Keep up the great work.😁
Im building a Demon Gladiator right now on my channel with everything that goes into the swap if you want to check it out. The engine goes in in tomorrow's videos.
That Gladiator was awesome in the deep fresh snow❣️ When airing down for snow what is best?? And is it different when in sand??? Glad you guys had fun on this one. Great video!
What do you mean by what is best?? Are you asking PSI?? As low as you can go without breaking bead…. Even without beadlocks, a lot of people run in the low single digit range, like 3-5psi.. or like 0-2 if you’re on beadlocks
Tires work in different way depending on the surface. On roads you want them ridgid, to create less deformation, and lots of friction. On snow or sand you want the surface to be as large as possible to float on, and flaps or shovels to grip the loose material to pull you forward. Sand is a lot denser and heavyer than snow, and needs smaller surfaces. An additional problem is that snow comes in soo many different denseties, from hard packed, to wet and heavy, to loose powder.... All these conditions gives totaly different requirements for optimal grip.
Spinning your tires is the worst thing you can do in snow. You want to move as fast as you can in the highest gear that will let you move through the snow without spinning your tires.
@@ThorbjrnPrytz sand is like snow it depends on the type of sand you're in river sand is usually wet and beach sand depends how close to the water you are as to how it acts and the sand in places in Utah is like driving in talc powder
If you want to use 2 ropes attached to 2 tow shackles on both ends, cross the ropes into an X. This is the way the Army sets up tanks to pull other tanks, and gives much better control of steering.
I just can’t get over how intoxicating the adrenaline rushes from riding snowmobile’s can be just the sound makes me want to participate in dangerous activities 😂
Always wondered about those, would love to try one but I live in North east Ga and are snow last over night and is gone the next day, wouldn’t be a wise investment
@@JackThelRipper we ride ours in wheat stubble all summer in KS the last few winters they've sat in the shed more than anything we haven't had enough snow to get out

Hey! You guys were rescued by Trent and Allie! That's hilarious! I just saw a clip on Trent's channel of him helping you guys. Trent is always helping people who get stuck in that area. For the last 2-3 years they've been building their own house, which is done now. They're currently building a big garage and Trent just started his own channel for upgrading and rebuilding trucks for off roading. His new channel is Trent's Garage. Taller, narrow tires would probably be better for that jeep in deep snow.
