  • A walkthrough to help new users to StarCCM+, and CFD in general, setup an incompressible, inviscid, 2D, aerodynamic simulation. The specific case is a NACA 2412 at 5 degrees angle of attack. This is the first in a series of tutorials of increasing complexity. The video was made in early 2018 and so the UI may be slightly different, but the process should be the same.

    Hi, I'd like to ask, at 15:46, why is my auto mesh (2D) parts option empty inside

    First of all, thanks for your tutorial video!
    But I have some questions about.
    First, When I saw residuals, my residual is in the range of E-07 degree is it ok too?
    Second, I set continua > Physics > Initial Conditions > Velocity [10.0, 0.0] m/s --> Is it right method??

      1) probably. depends on accuracy you need and starting values for the variables.
      2) Yes, setting an initial condition is a good idea.

    Can you do viscous simulations next? Thank you!
