I think in a world filled with plastic bottles, and tatami mats becoming increasingly more expensive, it only makes sense that people will turn to cutting water bottles. Bamboo isn't very accessible to most people and can really tear up certain blades. I like cutting cardboard myself, as its also plentiful, free, and won't likely put a set in a blade or chip the ha.
if i was sponsored I would dish out the cash for Bamboo & tatami, as iit can get costly. but bottles will always be a great, fun & good demo of the sword
