Watch Part 1 here if you haven't seen it:ruclips.net/video/lK58zgQ8kF8/видео.html Thanks to Ingus for voicing one of the Mahjarrat. Also thanks to Matthiastein for getting footage of the throne room area since I haven't advanced that far. If you're getting Déjà vu from part of the video it's because there is a bit of overlap between this and the desert lore video. Currently working on something for the new content coming to OSRS so if you miss me talking about that game then stay tuned. Cheers.
"I'm just bored, and that ridiculous talking dog took away my toys" OMG that line delivery was PERFECT! Sliske is one of my favorite characters, and I love how he was voiced here Pax tecum
I remember being a little kid and first doing the desert treasure quests and other zaros related content back in like 06 and seeing mention of someone who's name they refused to speak of. Ancient generals who opposed Zamorak in the desert and just being in awe of the mystery. Then over the years seeing information slowly released and I would try to tell my runescape friends of a god more powerful than zamorak and saradomin. nobody really cared about the runescape lore back then but damn i was captivated. then while guthix sleeps was released and it was the best quest i had ever done up to that point. i had my little quest cape and only 1 99 to my name (ranged) but i felt so connected to the runescape world. i quit runescape after the release of Nomad's Requiem but runescape has remained the #1 MMO for me when it comes to quests and storytelling. I dont play it anymore but I come back every now and then to catch up on the lore.
Everyone is so flawed and dynamic. The production value, your storytelling, the way you words things, is incredible. The choice and pacing of your clips is superb too; perfectly setting the atmosphere and scene but allowing us to focus on the story. Your analogy of love potions and the way you explained zaro's doubts and his actions were so wonderfully explained the abstract concept of the reality of godhood. Loving these vids as always Avrah =).
Brother this is art! amazing quality, amazing story telling, love how this tale overlaps with other content you made, bringing it full circle. well done!
Honestly. Id love to have Zaros come back after millenia of reflection, and end up being a slightly more caring virtuous god, because thats... honestly one of his only flaws. The fact that he was singleminded on progress, as opposed to progression through flourishing. After all, he atleast shows remorse, regret, and wanting to fix things that he realized he messed up on, and has the most positive goal of the gods as far as Ive seen. He just wants everyone to reach their potential in relative peace and balance, so not too different from guthix, except he just wants to help guide life there, and be able to talk to the old gods and create life too, he wants to overall improve everything. The world isnt exactly perfect so, conflict and hardship sometimes is that route to progression. Were I an actual citizen in Gilenor, Id probably follow Zaros. Not like, fanatically, but id atleast believe he has the best interests for all in mind in the long run. Edit* unrelated, but +1 respect because purple is an awesome color.
I personally think that is a bit of an optimistic take. The reading i got from him, especially in the more recent lore is that yes he wants those things but Zaros primarily cares about himself and fulfilling his own goals over anything else. Though I would love a character to come back around and perhaps decide to be selfless in the end.
@@Avrah i mean. he got PRETTY FRICKIN HUMBLED by zamorak and like, everyone ganging up on him. Id hope thatd be enough for him to see "Ok yeah, my endgoal is still my prime directive, but, if I take it a little slower, and actually appease my followers some, and enforce equality, like I said, Ill ACTUALLY get there, instead of dogpiled, and will have a HUGE force backing me, even bigger than my heyday in Gilenor"
Great voicers man! I dunno if you've heard but I'm making an entire Theater Length Movie reenacting the 2nd age of RS Lore from beginning to end. Would any of your voicers be willing to voice for my production as well?
No interest in the Lore at all but I loved your voice acting and story telling. Bravo. Subscribed. I also feel somewhat sympathy for the H.A.M group knowing what they were truly based in.
I think he got something wrong on here. The Ritual didnt start until they got on Gielenor. Once they got there, they were cut off from their home world. Zaros told them once they joined his army that theyd have to kill one of their own to open a portal to be able to suck in the life force of Mah and become rejuvenated. Hence the Ritual of Rejuventation.
@@Avrah Hey not trying to argue. Your video was great. I had read what i typed on the RS wiki right before watching your video. Just conflicting information and I thought i'd point it out.

I knew there was something i liked about Zaros the first time my edgy, 14 year old self heard his name. Love the lore vids!

These videos are fantastic, I've been trying to find someone who explains the lore, but you are on a different level. Your storytelling is A1.
thanks so much!
I didn't know that much about Zaros but this is really engaging, awesome lore stuff!

it's so weird too see parrells between irl and the ideas from the 2nd age, but we are all human
history repeats itself over and over enough that even art mimics history.

i was going to try to defend my point but i honestly forgot what i even said in the video. you could be right.

Should team up with "the book of RS"
does he still make content? i know i haven't uploaded on my channel in ages and i thought he quit too.
Wow Zaros is alot like the Emperor of Mankind.
Yea though his current story diverts quite a bit but the philosophy is there.
@@Avrah yeah like how both were symbols of hope but allowed the humans under them to suffer
Oh shit, my recommended is fixed
did i appear for the first time lol?
@@Avrah first time since your explanation of how RuneScape vampires are the scariest vampires.
Watching this to try to figure out the nex meta 😂🤷🏻♂️
Tumeken was the real mvp
absolute unit tbh.
JageX needs to freelance you and up the lore game
ngl i'd love that lol.
