The Fifine K678 USB microphone has a premium build quality with an all metal design - and looks very similar to the blue yeti nano in terms of size and aesthetics.
The mic has headphone jack to help you monitor audio directly from the microphone, and also has a dedicated gain knob to tweak your sound recording sensitivity on the fly.
Because this is a USB mic, you don’t need to mess with an external soundcard or audio interface - just simply plug it in, fire up your favorite audio recording software - and find the mic in the settings/preferences.
All audio in this video has been recording using the FIFINE K678 microphone - completely untreated. No compression, no EQ - straight out of the box sound. Vocals sound super clear, loud and there’s very little background noise, humming or hiss.
**I'll be giving away this mic to the first person to correctly name in order the 6 songs I play on the acoustic guitar. Comment below or slide into my DMs. I will announce the winner on Twitter and Insta - Sorry US only**

Damn. I was planning buying the blue yeti. And saw your review.. thanks a lot. Im picking this one..
My yeti broke so I was thinking about getting another one, I am going with this instead. Found one for 40 bucks used on ebay!
The song was amazing ☁️🌙✨
Excellent review! Really shows all the things this mic can do! Gonna order it now!
Thanks for the comment!
I have no words. That’s amazing. Nice songs too.
Thank you so much 🙏
Personally, the Blue Yeti Nano sounded cleaner/clearer, but with that said, I can't say outright, that it sounded better than the K678, because FiFine's answer did seem to have a better bass response.
I loved your conclusions and your tests, and would definitely be one to watch your all-out shootout! However, the bit depth of the Nano goes up to 24 bit, whereas that of the K678 maxes out at 16 bit. Does this, in your opinion, give the Nano an advantage, or is it just a bigger file size?
Wow that one is really helpful thank you so much❤️❤️
Awesome!
Nice review man, and not bad the guitar playing and singing. I'm impress with the mic.
Great and detailed review. I think the sound quality is fantastic for a budget mic. I am actually pretty impressed. This would be fantastic to have.
Should have dropped a shoutout to Matt Hardy with the "obsolete" reference.
Obviously Why Georgia Why by JM coming in at #4.
I remember when we covered #6 at the pad 😏
We need to jam asap bra.
Nice review mate, you should also check some maono mics. I recently bought the maono fairy lite a902 (the cardoid version)
Paid 53$ bucks for it, and sounds awesome
@UCTYoiyAFq1xH71WUOAYfHnw i actually tested both side by side. found the maono to be better at the end even though it has only 16 bit. The fifine was meh, also i dont have any noise in my maono mic
@@hmm2928 its okey friend i hope it work well for you but it dont fit with my taste.
As fifne is just incredible
what did you do with the audio in the sample? was there any editing?
The entire speaking portion, acoustic guitar, acoustic guitar + vocals was completely untreated.
For the minute-or-so layered audio recording I did add some EQ and compression here and there to give an idea of what results you might have using this as a home music studio microphone.
how does this compare with the samson meteor - wanted to get a better mic - so I dont have to upgrade later - for voiceover and live
Can’t speak to the Meteor personally. Only advice is give is listen to this vid and compare with other Samson vids. From a quick comparison I’d say this one sounds better - all audio was recorded with the Fifine - and no post production, compression, eq added. I’m a big fan of the Audiotechnica AT2020 USB as well. Check that out - a bit more cash, but sounds great.
@@QuickTechReviews I have seen this mic on another channel - rated good - checked some recommends on internet and seems Samson is better - will test is out - appears this is somewhat similar to samson C01 (I think ) - will check out Audiotechnica - some recommend rode and Blue Yeti (that is for larger budgets)
What is the name of the 6th song if its a really song or improvisation?
#6 is Goo Goo Dolls - Slide 😂
@@QuickTechReviews damn it was familiar! thank you :)
Is it suitable for voice over?
Yes this entire video was recorded using this mic.
@@QuickTechReviews thank you bro. The review was fintastic.🙏
😍😍😍😍
PRO
It’s not really good for making music
I thought the song sounded fi-fine 😂
