I just love pastel colors and I have they in all of my mediums. Your dog turn out really cute just makes me happy and peaceful to look at it. I am not good at alcohol markers. I have I few small sets, the smell is definitely an issue and the price point too. You need a lot of colors to create something interesting with volume. I think they are excellent for coloring by numbers or coloring books.
Really happy you finally got Alcohol Markers, and such a good brand, too (only heard good things)! The colour range is really awesome in this set but yes, they definitely lack some darks as well as some deep rich colours - which you can fix by buying more sets lmao 😂 jokes aside, you could get a few individual colours on sale at your art supply store if you want but the nice thing is you can put almost everything on top! I love Alcohol Markers for a first flat layer of colour and unlinke watercolour or other pigment based brush markers there is barely any pilling. They are great to have as a mixed media artist :) Love your cute little pup as well as you exploring a different style ❤️ Thanks for this video and Happy Easter!
You are so right!! This was a very fun way to get a smooth, blended layer of color down, and even laying down maybe 8-10 layers in the middle, zero pilling!!
That's such a cute doggy! The pastel set looks really lovely but I completely understand what you're saying about it lacking contrast, maybe this set would be best alongside a basic darker set ☺
I think I might just buy three darks (a blue, a red, and a brown) and I could mix those with this whole set and be ok! It was just the lack of even one or two that causes a challenge! 😂🤣
Springtime stylized Tuffy is adorable. Outlining is what I would have done; looks way cool. Another art supply that I have never used and I primarily watched this video because it was you :) I'm another one with chemical allergies and allergy induced asthma so I appreciate your insight about the odor - I might be able to tolerate these... Thoughtful review; thanks
As with Deb Smith, I've only watched this 'cos it's you, but I've thoroughly enjoyed it (because it's you and because it's something you really wanted to do - Tuffy). Like you, allergies mean that I don't use 'smelly' supplies, but occasionally, I'll use ink (Faber Castell) or water-based brush pens (ie not markers as such). I can't find anything that matches my love of watercolours for coloured work, though. My first love, however, is still graphite (always at hand, no need for anything more except paper and an eraser) and sometimes will happily use FC fine-liners in the earth or grey tones, or coloured pencils with that. Soft / oil pastels get an occasional look-in when the mood / subject fits, too, So you see, markers just don't stand a chance! 😄 I'm very glad that you mentioned and featured Tuffy, because I've missed him and was a bit worried, but didn't like to ask. Oh - and yes, I would love to see you revisit some of your previously reviewed art materials for a review update or simply cos you haven't used them for a while. 😊
I'm looking forward to making the re-review/revisit video! Tuffy is safe and sound, he is 7 so hopefully he has several more years of fun with his family ahead! I appreciate you not asking because when anyone asked about my first dog after she passed, I was hysterical, and all dogs don't live as long as we would like, so it's so nice of you to think of that sensitivity! Isn't it wonderful that we all enjoy such a fun range of materials? Art is my playtime and I love finding new things to play with. But I agree, nothing will ever have my heart the way watercolor does!!
Oh wow I didn't know they have a pad this big! I loove their pastel set I combined with their basic set and it's a blast to work with them 😍 in case you are new to markers you don't really need a marker paper my favorite paper to use with copics espacially is fabriano white white paper pad- that its name not a typo 😅
I've been playing a lot with my acrylic markers and water based markers because I'm working in the toned grey sketchbook right now! I prefer my pastels on white paper or black paper, but for some reason not grey! I'm weird, I know!!
Gorgeous pastel colours set. It’s great for cute dreamy paintings. The dog 🐶 drawing is absolutely adorable 🖼️🥰💜
Thank you, Leila!!!
Loved watching you color in the stained- glass shape of your adorable puppy!
Yayyy! Thank you!❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗
Such a cute baby!
Thank you my friend!!

Love stylized Tuffy!
He's the best!
Oh man working with only pastel/midtone colours sounds like quite the challenge, you did awesome tho!
Thank you!!!

I really enjoyed them! I'm also thinking about bringing a curated set for plein air for the first layer when I do some multimedia work!!
I have this set and a small set of Copic pastel colors. They work, fabulously, with Easter and Spring themed coloring pages or artwork.
Yes! I was so impressed and would love to add to it with select additional colors!
Nice sharing!! Thank you for your video! my dear friend! : ) 😀😀😀😀
Thank you for watching!! 🤗🤗🤗
cute pup 😍 love their pastels b ut def need a few darker markers to help with the values
That's what I'm thinking!!
mantap sekali peralatn barunya sobatku, semangat berkarya!

I did not know that!! How wonderful, and Fabriano is an awesome brand!
Super fun. Any oil pastel work coming soon? Or are you leaning towards any specific types of art media at the moment? Thanks for sharing!

Nice tool dear. congrats...
