Not really. This type of paper already exists. Its called Rendr by Crescent. This is a cheaper chinese knock-off at best. Nothing new and not invented by Ohuhu.
Not only is this paper amazing, but your illustration as well, I've been watching your videos for quite a few years now, your improvement is absolutely amazing❣️

Must... not... Love the paper, it's amazing that BOTH sides can be used to that degree, I honestly didn't think it was possible! Wish they had more sizes though, as I prefer smaller pads. Maybe they'll make smaller ones. Hopefully... I can wait, I still have empty pages in my current pad XD
@@kiraa__art Shhh I am trying to not buy lol!! I do prefer keeping my art together in the pad but using it sideways and doimg smaller pieces is also an option it's true. Currently I am not making enough art to warrant buying tho. I have the small square sketchbook with black cover and only 2 pics within lol.
@@MyStarseedColoring don’t worry, I know that feeling. I have lots of paper myself. I guess it’s a good thing these pads aren’t in stock in Europe 🙈😂 Even if I wanted it now, I can’t buy it, so I’m forced to use the paper I already have, which isn’t a bad thing at all 😂
@@kiraa__art XD It's actually only like $20CAD on canadian amazon which is really cheap, so it's hard for me not to succumb to temptation lol!! (Doesn't help I can think of a few video ideas for my channel with them)
@@MyStarseedColoring ah, got to love Ohuhu for that. Good products for good prices… Maybe you can make it like a game for yourself? For each paper you already own and you use, you put away a little bit of money to work towards “earning” the Ohuhu pad?
Huh, It’s like the Crescent Rendr sketchbooks! Good to see another brand taking a shot at this type of paper. I wonder how they compare, or how this one handles other mediums (Rendr does some weird things when you put water on it, lol).
I had not bothered trying alcohol markers due to how they still bleed through the paper but this paper seems incredible! Now all I need is for Ohuhu to partner with some artists to create colouring books and I would buy the entire range of markers & tons of colouring books too! I agree with wanting A4 paper too.
Hey, I just wanted to say that I'm watching Your videos for over ten years. Actually You had introduced me to promarkers while drawing ponies. These days I'm trying my best to create artsy stuff such as drawings and paintings, so I need to say - THANK YOU ❤
She is gorgeous! I love how you can tell that you were 100% trusting that it would work, doing that whole thing without any "just in case" paper underneath! We actually got a bleedproof sketchbook in a Scrawlrbox ages and ages ago. I think it was by a brand called ClaireFontaine and wasn't advertised as marker paper or bleedproof or anything but it was just like this Ohuhu one. I. forget what was in the box with it but I used it with Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers (which only have a fine bullet nib, and the whole idea is to use 3 shades of the same colour to get a smooth gradient - so LOTS of blending!) 😂
Crescent Rendr paper has been out there for years. And its very affordable as well. Ohuhus paper is just another chinese knockoff of a product of an established brand.
@@Oozaru85And what's wrong with that? Even if they are a knockoff, you are not being forced to buy them. I'm honestly happy we are getting more of the same thing in different price points so we can have more variety in choosing our art supplies.
@@cheiannpepper Its not the same thing at all. Rendr paper is much smoother and thicker. Its real marker paper. The Ohuhu paper isnt marker paper. Its 2 sheets of cheap, thin drawing paper glued together back to back. So ur basically drawing on a 75gsm drawing paper sheet. The ink builds dark puddles on it (because it has nowhere to go since the paper is too thin to soak it up), thats why Ohuhu themself warn you of ink smearing. Layering doesnt work on this paper for this exact reason. Basically this paper has all the flaws regular drawing paper has when used with markers. Minus the bleeding to the other side. It takes the formula that Rendr and lots of other, good brands use, and makes it worse. I returned this paper after one day of testing. It was just bad. And all these artists recommending or praising this paper have either no clue what paper is needed for alcohol markers, or they doing it because they dont want to lose that sweet Ohuhu sponsorship. Probably the latter.
This is really cute! I grabbed a pad too after a dif artist did a review and my LORD this paper is like magic. I'd love to see it in different sizes and thickness too eventually, and as ohuhu seems good at delivering based on feedback I hope it means we can look forward to getting our wishes granted :)
If you are looking for a no-bleed-thru paper in size A4 then maybe try out the Crescent "Rendr" Paper. :) It's available in A4 and A5 as Sketchbooks and Paperpads. :) Great video tho and as always great artwork!
OmG!! Haven't seen a girl / mermaid by you in forever and makes me so nostalgic, when you used to draw these beautiful little magical stories.🥰It wouldn't be a Kattvalk vid without a cat though! 🤩 Thank you for that thorogh testing video! I was surprised that it's just 150 gsm thick, would agree that I'd want a bit of a thicker paper. But perhaps it saves ressources on the bright side? (Not sure what kind of sorcery they have to perform to keep the ink from bleeding through though and how it affects the environment....)
Wow, Ohuhu! Keeps raising the bar! Astonishing quality at an astonishingly affordable price.
Not really. This type of paper already exists. Its called Rendr by Crescent. This is a cheaper chinese knock-off at best. Nothing new and not invented by Ohuhu.
Try The Wall by Canson. Fully bleed proof and you can get it by the sheet.
Lovely illustration! I'm glad you really tried to push the paper to it's limit, that's what I like to see when an artists tries a new product 😁
Not only is this paper amazing, but your illustration as well, I've been watching your videos for quite a few years now, your improvement is absolutely amazing❣️

You can always cut the paper in half if you want smaller paper, I often do that when I want something smaller but it isn’t always available ☺️

OMG, they finally made a bleed proof one? Where's my debit card? 😁
Right?! 😂😊❤
As someone that only works in sketchbooks, this is honestly a game changer 😮
The drawing came out so colourful! Great work as always. 💜

Can you make a full illustration on both sides to see how that works?
It will probably work just fine :)
Wow, just wow on the paper, and affordable as well unlike *cough* copic paper. Gorgeous art as well :)
I'm really tempted to try it!

this looks soooo impressive! and the artwork is just stunningly colourful
Did you draw the outline or print it? Asking because I was wondering how the paper takes printer ink
I realised I forgot to mention that. It was printed with an inkjet printer, which worked great
that coloring job was mesmerizing to watch
Awesome review! Thank you so much for this, and your drawing is adorable!
I love the illustration and the colours! 🧜🏾♀️✨
The merm is so cute and I definitely plan to check out this paper in the future.
Thank you for this review! I will definitely be purchasing an Ohuhu pad!
Interesting and thorough review, I’ll probably try this paper
Oh I just looked too, and it's acid free!
I saw it on another chanell and i want. Good to see it also here with you.
How does it compare to the Rendr sketchbook? Does anyone know?

The protective sheet came with it?
Crescent rendr also makes bleedproof marker paper pads and sketchbooks, but they're a bit expensive,,
I love how the illustration turned out, the colors are beautiful and the purrmaid is super cure. :D
They are on Amazon too. :) At least here in Canada.
So will markers and colored pencils work on this?
😅😅cute picture and good markers!
Wait, how did you print on the paper? Ur using a Laser-Jet printer or Ink-Jet?
I'm getting 2!
would love to try one, but since I have found a paper/card that works for me there prob is no point, but at least it will give other people options😀
But.. but... its out of stock in europe. How did you get it? 😄😄
What printer do you use?
TAKE MY MONEY
Very good video I enjoid it
I saw this on Amazon
Is the marker sketchbook made only for Ohuhu Markers or can I use any alcohol markers?
I’m sure you can use any markers!
@@Kattvalk That's good enough for me.
Oh no! Sold out in Europe and I have to wait more 😭
Still out of stock in Europe. Why? They dont send it to EU?
Hahahahaha, I'm blind. I didn't notice worldwide shippment from Asia 😅
