I actually love chisel tips for painting the backgrounds so I'm happy to see that they are finally getting some attention 🥺
This illustration made me so happy when it all came together, it's so rich and vibrant and the cat looks so snuggly in its scarf and hat 😭💕
I was always tightly in the brush nib team, but these markers look really amazing. I might just have to give them a go...
I have Ohuhus but I have an older pack of about 100. My only nitpick is that almost all of the colors are extremely saturated, and I am personally more of a pastel person. However, as I said it is personal preference
I adore a good chisel nib and my Ohuhu brush markers get just as much use on the chisel end as the brush, if not more. I'm so excited for the new chisel nibs! The next time I need a bunch more Ohuhus, I will seriously consider ordering this style rather than more of the brushmarkers with the old chisel.
Love the texture on the sweater. I wish when I color it looked that nice.
Adorable as always, Kattvalk. Ohuhu has really been talked about in the art community lately. Their known as a step down from Copic for ppl on a budget. I can't wait until I can splurge on my own set of the pastel box. 💜
Ahh my first Ohuhu marker set was when they only had Chisel and bullet tip. I remember not really liking the chisel cuz it was so stiff. Glad to see they improved it
Such a cute kitty coloring page!! 😍
I just love your cozy illustrations. So much fun to watch! 💖
Love this Christmas kitty illustration 😺 such beautiful colours 😍 I really don't need more markers, I have so many sets, but I love marker videos so I'm very happy to watch ❤
Those markers are really interesting. Love the colouring page. They're a bit better than the markers I use.
I do like the old fabric bags but these new ones definitely look more helpful! I don’t know how I’ve not come across your account before, but I’m a new subscriber, great video 😊
I remember I had an old set of design pens (they're now discontinued) but the had that "blade-like" chisel nib-and they were my absolute favorite things to use! Like NOBODY (sans Prisma) seemed to give any thought to the chisel nibs anymore So glad to see Ohuhu is rectifying that.
It’s amazing how this looks like a print because of how you did the blending & color layering. Very pretty!
Such a cute kitty. You used my favorite color for her coat.
Love it ! Beautyfull draw love the composition
You made several good points, I think I’ll give chisel nibs a shot 😊❤
This would make a great print or even Christmas cards x
You are an inspiration to me Kattvalk
When I started off with markers over 10 years ago, I had prismacolor markers without a brush tip. I learned how to use markers on a chisel tip so I think I’m one of the people that doesn’t mind a chisel tip. Brush is better but either one is fine with me.
Such a cute illustration
It's so cute! I love the shading you did, looks so good! :)
The new markers seem lovely! Your illustration is adorable too!
Wow I absolutely love your drawing and the way you shade is gorgeous.i only wish I could color like you
Very helpful, thank you!
They've only just released some of the brush tip ones here, but have had chisel tip ones available here for ages so its interesting to see them reworking their chisel tips to create a new set. I've never liked chisel tips because I hold pens weird due to my EDS so don't really get the control others seem to and the texture is often really bad and not smooth. These new ones do seem to have fixed that issue quite a bit. And on camera they look a bit smoother in the blend.
I adore your colouring pages and wish I could join your patreon to get them, but I don't have access to a functioning printer right now so just have to enjoy you showing them off when you colour them!
P.S. I would totally buy a pack of cards with that finished design on for next Christmas in case you fancy making that an option.
Also a member of the “hEDS makes me hold pens/markers weird” club. Someone once told me (in my mid 20s) they hadn’t seen anyone hold a pen like that since kindergarten, and would not listen to me when I said that pain (and two surgeries) means I can’t hold them normally 🙄 But these markers being chunkier might help with the pain some, so our hands won’t have to contort as much to hold them
Have you ever tried hand lettering with brush tip markers? I found that Tombow ABT Pro works very well for hand lettering when used with watercolor as well
Great video. I think each kind of nib (brush, chisel, and bullet) are beneficial for different reasons. Variety can be good.
AS someone who usually uses colored pencils for shading, I love color blocking and just simple flat shades when using chisel tip markers.
Such a cute illustration=) Love the packaging - plastic boxes can be easily put horizontally and hold their shape. This set is pretty nice, but I have more than enough chisel-tipped markers. I don't need another one, even if it is better=)
I'd definitely be interested in a full set with the new chisel tip and brush tips. I doubt they will though.
Huge coincidence that I was doing advertising research about alcohol markers yesterday and saw ads for these markers, and now you post this video~
very festive colouring page 😀 would be interesting to try this chisel tip to see if it does make a difference
I discovered ohuhu on your channel, and I bought a set of skin tones (Honolulu) and I just received it and I adore it.
I'm so glad I thought of you when I was looking for new markers since my old skin tones markers died.
you are so talented
I... never thought I would see a release focused ON chisel tip markers. Personally, I'm still not interested. Not a fan of how chisel tips feel. I have a good collection of Ohuhu brush tip markers to last me a lifetime, so I'm happy. XD Great art and to each their own on marker preference of course though!
I'm gonna wait to see if they have a pastel set. I like the shape of the Kaala markers.
The brush nib always sounded better than the old chisel nib to me, the new one looks similar to prismacolor which I loved using so I might get some kaala markers
Now we just need a marker that is both Brush and Bullet since this has the "sharp" bullet nib.
they have some
My personal fav is brush one😂
I accidentally bought the double chisel tipped for my first small set of ohuhu markers and I’m so frustrated because I want them specifically for drawing/painting. So I’m glad you put out this video. Makes me feel a little more hopeful that I didn’t waste my money lol next time I will be paying way more attention to make sure I get the brush tip. Just can’t spend more money on them right now 😅
I just did the same! I'm having trouble blending with the chisel tips so looking for help which brought me here. Just wondering how the chisels are working out for you?
I never had an issue with the chisel tips but the bullet nibs always felt useless. Markers with brush and chisel nibs are nice!!
Lovely illustration! Well, I am wondering how the nibs will hold up over time. Usually softer nibs wear out easier. But this would be hard to judge after one illustration with them, I suppose.
ive the set of 120 ohuhu that i got maybe last year on amazon canada when it was on sale, and ive already ran out of my light greens and light/ tan skin colors, and browns. (i color in my coloring books and its usually a lot of forests and creatures or people and so those colors ran out a lot.) i also always use the chizel nib and like u said with tinnier details i try to use the tip of the chizel so these would be great for that/ definitly thinking of gettin the skin color set and the landscape set too. your coloring is soo good :3 i think their website doesnt ship to canada. also might be cheaper for me to buy from amazon ca if they have these sets
Pls make more videos I luv them meow.
I really love their brush sets :D I just dislike using the chisel nib overall :D maybe I am too harsh on it or maybe I just love those brushes way too much :D
Did you use the blender at any point in this drawing? The blending looks so much smoother than I'm used to for chisel tips!
I think the art turned out very cute, I especially love the very subtle lighter edge around the character & tree; did you do that with the white colour pencil as well?
Cool 😀
Ok, I have got to try these out. I used brush markers for coloring books, and I get so frustrated with them. They are too soft and too flexible for bigger areas for me, these seem like they would be perfect.
What is shipping cost to Sweden? I feel like shipping always is very expensive from other countries 🤔
I love Ohuhu markers. So I might have to buy these someday.
I almost had an heart attack,I thought u had killed the brush tip in the first 10 secs of the vídeo x'DDDDDDDDDDDDDD (I delayed to see there was the cap when the noise came)
but the markers with the brush nib are double sided with a chisel nib on the other side anyways?
I know this is kinda random but when my little brother was watching me watch this video and he saw your cat on the ohuhu box, he said`tiguwa(tiger?)? `
Are they refillable yet? That is my main annoyance with the Ohuhu markers. Also if they're available open stock?
Do these new markers have the same quantity of ink like the older ones? because they look smaller in size
I have no idea actually, but the new are bigger then the old ones
I have only used chisel.
I pretty much never use chisel tips. I guess I don’t draw big enough.
Ohuhu markers are not available in my country 😭
😍
I would love if they retired the black bags for good. They're horrible quality and the zippers always break. The new boxes look nice!
Can I get away with just buying both 60-packs and still have "everything" a beginner would need to get the job done?
👀 *Promo sm*
Is it just me or i feel like toes smell like bread
These markers are not needed for the market. Ohuhu already have chisel and bullet nibs markers
I don't like their barrel shape
