    Great technical video. Really appreciate the detail. I recently learned this throw in a BJJ 'gi takedowns' class from a Judo brown belt. Then I really felt the superiority of Judo. Wow! I had no idea just how savage Judoka really are. I reckon Judo has to be the most hardcore martial art out there. 10 minutes of randori and I was ready to a) vomit b) take more Judo classes. Massive respect. Thank you.

    • @SampsonJudo
      @SampsonJudo  4 года назад +6

      Yes judo is extremely effective! It is a shame that not as many people give it the respect it deserves. I would 100% recommend doing more judo to compliment your BJJ. It will give you an enormous advantage. Best of luck on your journey.

    I started relatively late at 24 and now I trained for 5 months. Ippon Seoi Nage is one of the throws more difficult to me since I am 6.3ft and have to get really low to throw my training partners.
    In yesterdays lesson I tried it again and again but my Trainer still had complaints. I hope with this Video I will do better on Friday 😁✌🏻

    Excellent step by step explanation; speed is of the essence to avoid the counter. It may be illegal in Judo but one of the street/Trad Jiu JItsu counters to the throw is a rear choke and take-down.

    Hi! I would really appreciate your assistance if possible.
    What I am interested in, is instructional books showing judo techniques up close providing details, that is, with good illustrations/pictures.
    I would like to incorporate judo moves into my personal combatives training, so not just another judo book but something more fitting. If you are aware of such books please provide titles or a good dvd series from a teacher you respect or links to those.
    Either way, thank you so much for your time!

    • @jestfullgremblim8002
      @jestfullgremblim8002 3 года назад

      Well i'm late, but what you should do is use another type of throw (a neck one) or just try and adapt this one. When i try to throw a smaller person, i just use trips/sweeps because it's not easy, unless you got their arm extended upwards or their necks

    I noticed you keep your heels just barely hovering off the ground sometimes. Is there a reason?

    • @SampsonJudo
      @SampsonJudo  4 года назад +1

      Because when I execute the throw I want all momentum going forwards. Being on my toes enables that. If I am on my heels, then I have some weight going backwards which makes the throw less powerful.

    Я решил научиться печь блины. Придёт Масленица - вот я всех удивлю! Первый блин прилип, и я взял другую сковороду. Второй не успел пропечься, я его так и плюхнул в тарелку. Третий блин пригорел, потому что я отвлёкся, чтобы покормить кота. На весь дом запахло гарью. Пришёл папа, открыл форточку, а потом напёк целую гору блинов. И ни один блин не пригорел!
