Denzel was so moved and gave him an ovation. I wonder if he knew?
I wonder the same. The speech hit me hard already a few months ago, and I figured then Denzel might have teared up because of the words .. but now I do have the sense, looking at his reaction, that he might have known.
This is a second speech I watched of him and I can't come up with the depth of his words and his relationship with God that made him to speak so humbly yet deeply to our heart. Even writing this comment makes emotional. Probably Denzel knew. He laid his due to him before God called him back. How humble he is while talking so well.
So much to learn from him.

This was Chadwicks love letter to Denzel and I believe Denzel knew Chadwick was sick. The energy between them, the unspoken admiración in their eyes...they shared a special connection.
he said in a interview he didn’t know Chadwick was sick…which only makes it even more sad
a lot of people knew, he was SO skinny its impossible not to see somethings up.
I wonder if Denzel knew Chadwick was sick. My guess would be yes. Denzel was fighting back some crazy tears.
