Hello from Northern Virginia, came over from Daves livestream, Take Care 👍🏼🇺🇸
Thanks for the concise short video. I’ve watched a few other videos on these stoves for a size comparison and there’s too much time spent on demonstrating how to build a fire in them. I just needed to see them side by side and what you said about choosing the correct size is exactly the information needed. 👍🏼
I am glad that you found it helpful and thanks for watching.
Hey My friend, figured I'd go back and watch a bunch of your older videos! Thanks for the comparison. You did a great job with this. Great to see the side by side
Thanks Dan and thanks for checking it out.
Not sure if anyone else has done this comparison on yt but I really wanted to see the different sizes and understand the functions. Thank you.
Glad to have helped
Great video! Just what I needed to see to make my decision as to what to get. I'm building up my Overlanding setup for my Jeep. I think the Ranger is the perfect size to fit in my Jeep without compromising too much on space. By the way, if anyone is reading this as of today 4/5/2021), they are having a spring sale. They are including a free fire stand with any purchase of a solo stove - any size. Thanks again for the video!
Hey Jake, I am glad that it helped. One of the vehicles we overland in is a JKU and know the importance of space management. Best of luck building out the Jeep and it would be great to see some pics once you get it done-I could always use some new ideas!
Very Informative for outdoor cooking. Amazing Video 😍👍
Thanks for dropping by and I am glad it was helpful.
Oh boy. I just bought the Ranger. I think the Titan was more like what I wanted for camping
A lot of people take their Solo Rangers (even Bonfires) camping with them so don't despair! If you are planning to cook on the stove the camping stoves are designed to hold pots and pans.
excellent comparison, thank you! helped me decide which one to buy
Thank you, very informative. The comparisons help a lot!
Wow that's really cool and interesting vidz my friend. Keep it up and more vidz to come.
Thanks for checking it out and glad you found it interesting.
wow....Nice Solo Stove size Comparison video !!!! joined now !!!!
Thanks for watching and I am glad you found it helpful! Welcome
Thank you Brother- I am thinking going to get a solo bonfire- as you explain- I would need for cooking- so I am going to get a camoing one- Mat the Lord Jesus Christ blesses you and yours- Garabandal warning-
Very cool! Never seen a side by side of these before. Would you buy the solo backpacking stove again? Now following #819
That is totally dependent on your intended use. I think the Lite is best suited for boiling water and being a wood burner the re-gasification really does add to the value of the stove in terms of heat output (in my mind-not scientific). I am also a big fan of the fact that the Solo or Trangia alcohol burners fit nicely into the stove when you don't feel like sitting feeding a fire or there is no dry wood handy. For any real cooking I would use the Titan (you can see this size on this video around the 2:20 mark ruclips.net/video/ovGdaPqEPd0/видео.html) which is a bit larger and burns longer without being too large.
If you wanted to buy the original stove in this category the Bushbuddy is made in the USA and can be seen here -
bushbuddystove.com/collections/all
There are other competitions out there but the unique gasification really is nice in these stoves, the downside is that they do not fold flat and re-gassing consumes wood very quickly so you will be feeding it constantly (maybe same in all very small stoves). If you want something that folds flat we are big fans of the Firebox products.
So long way to answer your question- yes I would buy again (but seriously look at the Bushbuddy) if it fits the intended use you envision.
Thanks for posting. Too bad no Yukon.
Yes, sadly I don't get everything I ask for at Christmas ....
Get all your information beforehand. Then you don't like a fool.
Sorry you found it lacking-anything in particular that you found so disturbing?
Nice sharing full support fb
Thank you! Very concise and exactly what I was needing to know. I agree, avoiding the hassle of cutting wood is worth getting the Bonfire over the Ranger.
Great comparison video-thank you!
Hello my friend thank you for sharing great video i really enjoy for wathing🥰
Thanks for checking us out!
Just found your channel coming from camping with Steve Wallis which I love him. Loving your channel.
Sold my RV and plan to do some tent camping again here in Michigan. Those are nice, but, probably no need for me. They work great though! Thanks for the great comparison!
The old campground ring works just fine. I you looking for something a little more ready for remote areas a well built, light weight and relatively cheap one is here firesideoutdoor.com/products/pop-up-pit?_atid=fxO62CmNHSBrqnW9z3LHgCYMN6iSOF
Facebook Solo Stove owners group, people are starting to use pellets to some degree.
Sorry for the delayed response-I was pretty new to the platform when you posted. Are people using some kind of screen when they are using pellets in these?
@@dickinaroundoutdoors8609 yes they are, I will be experimenting soon.
Thanks for showing us the comparison! 👍
You bet-thanks for dropping by.
Great clip always good to see a comparison on different things 👍
Thanks for dropping by and checking it out. Have a great day.
What is a "stick of wood" length?
Thanks for watching. The standard length is 16 inches but might vary a bit.
Will it hold a 16" piece standing on end? What are the actual internal dimensions? Thanks
@@marcodiwa it will on end yes but in order to get the secondary burn effect Solo says wood needs to be below the upper exhaust ports. If I recall the Ranger is 13-14 inch inside, the Bonfire closer to 18.
Thank You
Thanks for watching. My pleasure.
