Did he not play it at a gig in Sheffield first? After playing it he said the place fell quite... Thought I read that in a interview

He played Don't Look Back in Anger for the first time at Sheffield Arena back in april that year. Don't know what you mean by falling, though.

Jakub Popławski i think he's not English and he wanted to say "felt" instead of "fell" :)

Noel sang it with gusto! lots of feeling. The fat dancer of Take That didn’t clap.

Noel hadn't committed to the signature static chord voicings yet. It sounds more like D'you know what I mean here

Haha what the? He plays "D'youknowwhatimean" instead here! (there is a slight difference in chords between the two) interesting he does that!

Turns out Liam hated wonderwall and called it trip hop!! He wanted to do don’t look back in anger but Noel told him he wasn’t doing both as was so pissed off with Liam walking off of the stage and leaving him to pick up the gig!He actually said he shouldn’t have sung either as he wasn’t a great singer back then!

Liam’s tastes are so narrow, he never liked any dance music or anything that wasn’t traditional rock n roll. One of the reasons Noel wanted to go solo in the end, he had to push against Liam to do anything musically different.
