Just wanted to clarify for anyone a bit confused - retin-AL has become an often used abbreviated form of the word retinALdehyde (not sure why, as it's just confusing to many), and it is stronger than retinOL. They are both over-the-counter retinoids. The term RETINOID is the "umbrella term" for ALL Vitamin A derivatives, including prescription tretinoin/Retin-A, now over-the-counter Differin (adapalene), retinAL/retinaldehyde, retinol, and retinyl esters such as retinyl palmitate, retinyl acetate, retinyl propriate, retinyl linoleate, etc. I've noticed many people incorrectly using the term RETINOL as the umbrella term for all Vitamin A derivatives (not you Kelly! :) ), in place of the correct term RETINOID. Retinol is but only one form of retinoid. Hope that helps clear up any confusion for some. :) I really want to try that Beauty of Joseon Eye Serum, by the way!!!

Ive been using the beauty of joseon eye serum/cream for almost 6 months straight since the day it launched every single night with zero irritation. it is sooo so so so so good! I use tretinoin but never around my eyes, I just use the tiniest tiniest little drop onto my finger and I still have at least 1/4-1/2 of the tube left. I'm still questioning the % of retinal in it if its .02% as advertised, or .03% if it is 300ppm retinal- my nerdy math brain says it has to be .03% but something to do with the liposome that I don't understand must make it .02. either way at the end of the day it doesn't matter because it is the best price, best formulation, best quantity of a product 1oz in an airless pump tube. you can't beat it !
I will be attempting a no-buy next year (of course if I completely run out of something I will replace it) so I’m stocking up on skincare that’s running low and I’m so happy to see a few of the products I just ordered in this video. The cleanser, the Dokdo and the Oat toner.

My favorite discoveries of 2022 were the Wishtrend sunscreen and ceramide serum, the Skin1004 sun serum, the Beauty of Joseon retinal eye serum, the Glow Recipe guava eye cream, the Innisfree black tea youth essence, the Drunk Elephant Bouncy Brightfacial, the Geek & Gorgeous C-Glow and retinal products, and the Mary & May blackberry cream essence. I think I’ll stop there. 😂

Aestura is good! It's not as creamy as illiyoon and has more occlusivity, but I'd say as far keeping skin moisturized and happy it's comparable to illiyoon!

I love the BoJ eye cream. I use it all over my face every other day with a stronger retinol in-between. My face take retinol really well, I was completely niave the first time I used it like 10 years ago and put too much all over my face every night and only had one patch on my upper cheek bone that reacted. So I consider myself extremely lucky. But I'm so glad I heard about BoJ, planning on trying other things from them. :)
Very nice review. I have the problem on my butterfly area with my pores. Am looking into trying the NIOD non-acid acid percurser. A few other products as well. Wearing masks for almost three years really did some damage to my face pores.

Dr Dray, has said if you find you can’t use Vit C, you can probably use Niacinamide Serum. I found I really like the one from Bliss in the Pink bottle. It works well on my dry face to diminish pores. I’m 59.

Happy New Year! I had the same experience a few years back with trying the RoundLab Dokdo toner, it is just so great and hydrating. At the beginning of 2022 I finally got to try out two of your faves the Make prem relief toner and the Skinfood prpolis essence and it was love at first sight. Thank you for these recommendations they always hit the nail on the head with what I was looking for and what my skin needed! As for sunscreens I really was impressed with the new LRP UVmune400 50+ hydrating sun screen and the Frezyderm velvet second skin 50+ sun screen, great textures.
I love the Cerave Hydrating cream to foam cleanser, though I also use the Cerave Salicylic Acid cleanser and Hydrating cleanser, depending on my skin condition that day. After I use up my current eye creams I'm going to try the BoJ eye cream. I finally trued the Stratia Liquid Gold, after listening to your raves for the last 2 yrs, and I love it. I LOVE the mediheall baobab toner and serum! I've actually never seen such fantastic ingredients in a TONER, and the serum is fabulous as well! Amazon has them on sale quite often I got each for $12 before Christmas and am super impressed! one of the best for ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids as well as some peptides, super gentle and not noticeable or irritating exfoliant Gluconolactone, and amino acids. its quickly become a holy grail especially the toner!

Another alternative is the Pacifica vegan ceramide lotion & serum. I do not like the barrier cream it has an odd mattifying texture. But the serum and lotion both in pump bottles are so good. If I didn’t know I would’ve thought they were Korean products because they’re so cosmetically elegant and fragrance and essential oil free

It is growing exponentially both in Spain and in its exports to Germany. I think they are copying Deciem a bit. They have the expensive range: Theramid Then there's the cheaper range: Transparent Lab. ... and they do an acne range as well as some others. The 2 products that have blown me away: 1. Theramid High-Dose Ceramide Treatment 2. Theramid 22% Multi-Peptide Serum They have done as much for my Tretinoin-ravaged skin as our mutually beloved Stratia Liquid Gold ... which is really saying something!! I also bought their Theramid C-TETRA E.F. Intensive Vitamin C Treatment ... but it's just too strong for me!! (Like you, I have sensitive skin and don't cope well with pretty much any type of vitamin C.) So I tried the cheaper (and lower dose) Transparent Lab SUPER C SERUM (which also contains Ellagic Acid) and it's just lovely. It's gentle enough even for my skin ... and the resulting glow ... wow! I am just a consumer. I have no vested interests. My favorite skincare discovery this year is definitely Skin1004. I love their centella sothing cream, water fit sunscreen and their pink bottled ampoule.
I've been using their famous centella ampoule and I've fallen head over heels in love with it! I use it every morning after applying my vitamin C serum (because apparently vitamin C and centella work in synergy). I'm not familiar with the pink bottle you mention... I'll look into it 🤗

Did u see the Jumiso serum that almost sounds just like the gauva c it has the TD and tranexamic in it instead and it's frangerance free, I kind of want to try it and see how it is. I can't remember the exact name but their is letters and numbers in the name ..lol ingredients looked nice.

I have been using the Biosionse copper peptide serum for a month and I'm loving it along with the elderberry squalene cleanser definitely 2 of my favs . I haven't tried the G.R gauva yet I went to order it Xmas day in a set that was onsale for 36$ and it sold out as I was checking out ,I was so upset it was a good deal for the full size and some extra goodies to try with it. Love the year end favs round up .
I had a similar experience with the Glow Recipe Guava eye cream last month, went to buy it and it's sold out! Guess the universe was telling me it wasn't time yet!😂

Thank you! I don't see why you couldn't use with a retinoid ingredient wise. Of course you'll want to proceed with caution and monitor your skin for irritation but there are no ingredient contradictions.
Y'all wanna know how dry my skin is? I go through a 20 oz. tub (which is the largest size) of the Cetaphil cream in a little less than a month. And I only use it once a day! It's the ONLY thing I've ever found that actually moisturizes my extremely dry skin

I got the PC C5 Super Boost eye cream and 2 weeks after opening it oxidized 😭 I'm not sure if I got a defective bottle because I didn't have an issue with the mini size. This eye cream really does something to my skin. Did you have any issues with yours ?
No issues mine has been open since September I think, nearly empty now. That's too bad, maybe reach out to customer service to see if it's a bad batch.

I'm definitely your toner sister ☺. After avoiding toners for years, when they were just astringent products, now they're my favourite part of skincare, and they do deliver results! Korean toners are way ahead, generally speaking, but I'm open to Western brands. So want to try the Purito Oat-in-Silky one, but I've got so many toners on my bathroom shelf that I'm going to have to wait until I go through some of them before my next purchase. I use the cetaphil moisturizer but I have combo skin with VERY oily tzone and I just keep feeling it breaks me out :(( dont know what to use as my skin is also sensitive so I dont want to try a lot of different moisturizers
Might be too occlusive for you, just a guess. Lighter lotion-y type products might be a better choice than balms or creams. Maybe something like the thank you farmer pure rice gel and cream could help!

My favorite skincare discovery this year is definitely Skin1004. I love their centella sothing cream, water fit sunscreen and their pink bottled ampoule.
I've been using their famous centella ampoule and I've fallen head over heels in love with it! I use it every morning after applying my vitamin C serum (because apparently vitamin C and centella work in synergy).
I'm not familiar with the pink bottle you mention... I'll look into it 🤗
Kelly, what is a brand or product that is like our generations Olay? Is it Cerave? I feel like that's too prescription-y and not luxury seeming enough.

Hi Kelly, I have a quick question that maybe you can help answer! I love the beplain bamboo hydrating ampoule (I got it from your recommendation and have been using it for a year)! I can't find it anywhere now. It says it's out of stock. I wanted to ask if you knew if the company discontinued it. I reached out to them through ig and email and I haven't gotten a respond yet so I thought since it used to be one of your favorites you would know if it was discontinued.
Did u see the Jumiso serum that almost sounds just like the gauva c it has the TD and tranexamic in it instead and it's frangerance free, I kind of want to try it and see how it is. I can't remember the exact name but their is letters and numbers in the name ..lol ingredients looked nice.

The Korres mask? It's a wash off mask you would use after cleansing and wash off after about 10 minutes, then proceed with skincare routine.

I would be curious what you think of the PC enriched calming toner in the red bottle? I enjoyed this last winter and still use but always look for something better or cheaper.
I have been using the Biosionse copper peptide serum for a month and I'm loving it along with the elderberry squalene cleanser definitely 2 of my favs . I haven't tried the G.R gauva yet I went to order it Xmas day in a set that was onsale for 36$ and it sold out as I was checking out ,I was so upset it was a good deal for the full size and some extra goodies to try with it. Love the year end favs round up .
I had a similar experience with the Glow Recipe Guava eye cream last month, went to buy it and it's sold out! Guess the universe was telling me it wasn't time yet!😂
@@KellyDriscoll LOL yea the set had the mini eye cream and the plump plump mini moisturizer in it with the full size serum all for cheaper then the serum alone..lol I was like yeah I'll finally try it I have been wanting to but nope the universe said no 😂 on top of the other 3 things I had in my cart to that sold out . I think Sephora is playing a dirty trick on me everytime I go to order stuff it sells out as I'm checking out.

Thank you! I don't see why you couldn't use with a retinoid ingredient wise. Of course you'll want to proceed with caution and monitor your skin for irritation but there are no ingredient contradictions.

Y'all wanna know how dry my skin is? I go through a 20 oz. tub (which is the largest size) of the Cetaphil cream in a little less than a month. And I only use it once a day! It's the ONLY thing I've ever found that actually moisturizes my extremely dry skin
Mediheal baobab moisture serum is very nice. I got this because of you. Love the texture too.

I got the PC C5 Super Boost eye cream and 2 weeks after opening it oxidized 😭 I'm not sure if I got a defective bottle because I didn't have an issue with the mini size. This eye cream really does something to my skin. Did you have any issues with yours ?
No issues mine has been open since September I think, nearly empty now. That's too bad, maybe reach out to customer service to see if it's a bad batch.

I'm definitely your toner sister ☺. After avoiding toners for years, when they were just astringent products, now they're my favourite part of skincare, and they do deliver results! Korean toners are way ahead, generally speaking, but I'm open to Western brands. So want to try the Purito Oat-in-Silky one, but I've got so many toners on my bathroom shelf that I'm going to have to wait until I go through some of them before my next purchase.

I use the cetaphil moisturizer but I have combo skin with VERY oily tzone and I just keep feeling it breaks me out :(( dont know what to use as my skin is also sensitive so I dont want to try a lot of different moisturizers
Might be too occlusive for you, just a guess. Lighter lotion-y type products might be a better choice than balms or creams. Maybe something like the thank you farmer pure rice gel and cream could help!

Everyone raves about that brand and my face hates everything I tried so I don't bother anymore I was gonna get the toner but I was like it's probably a waste sense nothing from the brand I can use on my face. Wonder what is in it that doesn't agree with us.
