    This is definitely the video I'm most anticipating all year, as someone who is a minimalist when it comes to skincare, and I haven't been let down yet! thank you girls 💕

    Hair/Scalp questions:
    - Eczema in scalp, best way to keep it at bay
    - how to grow hair
    - how to properly wash hair
    - difference between dandruff and flaky/dry scalp
    - how to lessen hair fall out

    my top 1 product that really improved my hydration in 2022 is Squalane Oil from The Ordinary. Oils became so popular like 3 years ago, and I feel like everyone forgot about them over the years in favor of essences. But I honestly can't live without the Squalane oil now. It's improved my skin's hydration in so many ways, it's truly amazing. I don't even use any other hydrating products aside from the dual essence from COSRX and a thick moisturizer

    Honestly at this point, it’s hard to distinguish which products have genuinely been beneficial and which products are apart of your job to push for and market due to sponsors/trends or relevance/partnerships/etc. 😕

    • @MarielQueenPenguin
      @MarielQueenPenguin 2 года назад +32

      On the contrary compared to other creators I find they have a more of a slow following of the trends. But, opinions are like colors. Some of those products are not even new, and they have used before.

      I’ve used a good bit of the products they recommended and ALL have been absolutely amazing for my skin and I will also keep coming back to their channel for recommendations. They do have a job to do and money to make but from my experience they are the most honest, genuine, and trustworthy channel on RUclips that I have come across

    • @crossflores50
      @crossflores50 Год назад +7

      this is a concern of mine too but i do trust most of the information the provide for us because it would be very bad for their brand if they lied to us. while i do love this channel i do lean towards doctors who have youtube accounts to provide information and recommend products because i believe them to have more credibility than this channel does. dr dray is so good and i love how informative she is!

      I understand what u mean when I started watching them I bought a ton of products. A TON. Every time I watched a new upload there were a ton of new products being discussed so for the sake of my pockets and countertops I buy things based on what I need and how it works for my skin. I keep it minimal and I do my research. I just watch this to stay in the loop I take the product suggestions with a grain of salt and use what works for me.
      Im a RN and a manager or a Nurse manager of a dermatology clinic and I work in a dermatology clinic
      and let me tell you they do not recommend ANY OF THESE PRODUCTS EVER.
      They won’t even entertain patients coming in talking about things like this. They believe it’s definitely a gimmick.

    My favorite lip balm , ESPECIALLY now in Winter, is The Naked Bee Orange Blossom Honey Lip Balm. I use this at night before bed & it stays on all night. It’s a stick balm I found up front at Ace Hardware, but other stores sell the whole line also. I’m 59 & it works beautifully for me.

    I'm a HUGE fan of hypochlorus acid! I work in wound care and it's also present in some antimicrobial wound cleansing products that works so well! Just to let you know, hypochlorus acid is really different from bleach which is sodium hypochlorite. The pH of each product is also very different. While hypochlorus acid is a very weak, almost neutral acid, sodium hypochlorite is extremely basic. The smell of bleach that is present in both compounds is related to the common presence of chlorine.

    I’ve not tried any of these other than the PC BHA, but my faves this year that were new discoveries for me were Kaine vitamin serum, their kombucha toner and also a few moisturiser like the new Haru Haru one, the rice probiotic sleeping mask and also Dr Jart Ceramidin face mist and Manyo serums

    Hi. Please can you ask about solutions to deal with hard water on hair and scalp besides installing a water softener?

    • @heavensfallin
      @heavensfallin 2 года назад

      You should be able to find water softener attachments for the shower or tap with replaceable filters, not near as expensive as a softening unit but effective

    • @NatalieG427
      @NatalieG427 2 года назад +1

      @@heavensfallin I tried that years ago on my kitchen faucet. I put a filter on the tap. The result being that, that filter was supposed to last at least 2-3 months & only lasted 3 weeks. It was so plugged up with calcium, etc. the water dribbled out. In the end it would’ve cost us too much money to buy all these filters & constantly be changing them. Where I live in Northern Illinois, we have well water & not connected to nice Lake Michigan water.
