- Vampire Survivors Part 6 - it's a new update! New map, two new characters, and some cool quality of life stuff. I LOVE this new map, because of the challenge it presents. Will I still be able to win with 50% stronger enemies?

Love the update, it provides a sweet challenge even when you have a ton of meta upgrades unlocked. Can't believe I'd be getting this much replayability out of a game like this.

There’s another character from even before the update that you could try to get somehow, you get it when you kill the Death guy that comes at the end.

I personally avoid attractorb now, I would rather have Clover for luck. Luck improves chance to get powerup drops from candles, which includes the Vacuum orb to pickup all xp left on the level. With high luck, you get enough vacuum orbs that you will never need Attractorb, plus it makes it harder to accidentally pick up HP and other candle drops.
Even if accidentally pickup, then luck make more
Luck just outclasses both Attractorb and Healing. It's a pretty op stat.
plus it allows you to get the cross evolved so you dont waste a spot for an evolved weapon
Luck also makes grinding easier as the rich bags drop more commonly, and chests get better.

Haven't played this game but seen Tyler's few videos. Dang does the Bible seem OP.
I think the uptime is split between duration and a cooldown timer that starts after the duration runs out.

In case you didn't know, pentagram destroys chests. I learned this the hard way when I was like .2 seconds away from opening one, and pentagram activated and destroyed it
You should do a luck based build where you focus entirely on critical hits.

Attractorb is underrated. Accelerating the pace you get upgrades and focusing on killing enemies vs. chasing xp from past kills
Only true gamers are able to do Exdash, no meta upgrades, hyper mode on Green Acres, without the use of any evolved weapons.

Hey Tyler! Been loving this series, and decided to buy the game for myself. I did some snooping and found out there’s a secret-er character in the game. I think it would make for some chaotic content.

@@jasus3787 more specifically it has like 60k or 90k HP multiplied by your level, so closer to billions but still never killable legit especially since a new one spawns every minute after the 30 min mark

One really really fun run I had was playing the guy that gives you higher fire rate and taking the time stop gun and max tome and spellbinder. I had a Laurel as well and I was able to survive against the reaper for an entire minute because the time stop effected him long enough for the Laurel to recharge and Laurel bought me enough time to hit him with the time stop with good positioning. Highly recommend trying it, I had really low damage but I survived the last 2 waves by hiding inside the enemies hit by the time stop.
i have a theotry for the reaper at the end of 30:00 what if he gets more hp and damage the more enemies you kill? cause he is a reaper
Sounds like one hell of a challenge. Survive 30 minutes as a pacifist.
He gets hp based on your level.
I think you are severely underestimating the absolute power of the Heaven Sword and Runetracer somewhat, while overestimating the Knife and the Fire Wand. I would love to see you try our Exdash on this map and try out the Heaven Sword with all of their luck + the Clover, it SHREDS.
It would be really nice to get a quick-peek at your meta-upgrades right before the run also.
There is something you've said before about strategies in this game - either being a tank or a dps - but that's not entirely true. You can have a full-on knockback build (wand, bible, garlic, bone) that doesn't kill in the endgame, but doesn't let enemies attack you. This is also the only way the bible is useful later - its knockback - since it deals laughable damage.
imagine that when Tyler finally does the pentagram build he also does evolved garlic

Hey Tyler, I know it may be a little different than your regular games buy on roblox there is a game called miners Heaven. I have played it for years on and off and enjoy its complexity and problem solving which I know you love. It's kind of a sandbox money maker tycoon with a huge amount of depth that I wish I could replay. Just thought you would make it extremely entertaining as you figure out one of the most complex games on robot. Plus its free🤨
I really dont know if thats your thing, but theres a mobile game i found a while back thats really similar in concept to this, its called Magic Survival (it was made before VS), its more of an endless survival than 30 minute run. The thing is the game is rather old and havent been updated, but i still feel like you might enjoy it so thats why i brought it up. Also love the series, this games really fun to watch :D
If you love this game I can only recommend you to play Magic survival (which I'm pretty sure Vampire survivor took a lot of inspiration from this game).
It's a harder game with more weapon, each weapons can fusion with multiple other weapons and you're not limited on how many upgrade you can take.
Only downside is being only available on mobile.
random thought: does attractorb also attract other things around the map, like amulets, or chicken? because if so, that might be why tyler kept accidentally picking things up this round.

This game, albeit simple, looks fun as heck. Goes to show that graphics ain't everything.
For less than $5.00, even if you don't end up liking it, it's not a huge loss. Personally, it's well worth the price.

in my first try i have succesfuly beaten it with probably the "god setup" the i had: evolved axe, evolved garlic evolved wand, evolved fire, evolved peachone, evolved book which was really LUCKY

Pentagram extra triggers every time you upgrade it, so if you leave it until the very very end, you can use it on the final 2 minutes of the run when enemies flood the screen and they all give red exp.

You can kill the Reaper... finding a way to do it legitimately though, that's the struggle

Challange: Every time you lvl up you HAVE to pick up a NEW thing but if theres'snt a new thing to pick you will lvl up the lowest lvl item!

I would't reallly use garlic. Ofc it's great for first 2/3 mins but later it does nothing (29k dmg), plus it's evolution is completely useless if you have Vespers. And even without Vespers when enemies can walk into garlic's area, the heal isn't very good. It's way better on evolved Whip when you get 8hp per 1-3s, which is way better than evolved Garlic, Pumarola and healing from meta upgrade (btw that upgrade is useless) combined. Conclusion: Instead of Garlic and Pumarola take Whip and Hollow Heart it's simply better dmg and healing, and don't spend your money on meta healing upgrade
Edit: Not even mentioning that you have chicken to heal anyways

just an Advice pentagram erase *EVERYTHING* like Everything so if you have a ton of EXP on the floor when pentagram trigger it will erase (also chest to)
I play it on a web browser just to clarify it IDK about the steam version but yeah pentagram is generally good late game and a Nightmare early game.
this map is the exact same as garden was and the garden map was changed to have obstacles.

24:09 how did he have rune tracer for 30 minutes and 2 seconds. Is that just the attack the character starts with?
Also I love how tyler says that hellfire (evolved fire wand), holy vesper (evolved bible), and thousand edge (evolved knife) are insane even tho runetracer has more DPS than holy vesper or thousand edge (less than hellfire tho)
You should try to see what happens if you use a full screen clear as the reaper shows up at the end
Pentagram is the worst weapon by far. Even worse than Clock Lance and and Laurel. At least tthe latter two don't wipe all loot from the screen.
Also: When you get the character that needs money, try Knives on it. You haven't seen anything yet.
Bracer for the bible is crazy lol, it spins so fast, if you had evolved axe and evolved cross with them you'd be able to kill that huge wave, or you know, Vandalier cause that's the most powerful one

Just a note- the first map has RADICALLY changed, the third map is what the first map used to be.
Are you playing this from an un-upgraded character? I tried the challenge map yesterday and it barely seemed like the enemies were stronger at all, maybe I just got lucky with upgrades.
I don't know if you take suggestions on games from comments but I would like to see you play noita, it's a rouge-like you are gonna die a lot but it's pretty entertaining and it has lots of content. BTW love your videos, I don't know what about how you make them it makes them so good no matter what you play

Exdash with pentagram is good, i lost a perfect run because I suck, but it can be awesome.
Hey Tyler, random idea: Random run. Choose one of the slots pre-run and only take items and weapons from that slot
I enjoy losing runs because they help show the difficulty of the game
Maybe try saving a screen clear amulet to kill the reaper thing at 30 minutes, maybe there's more game?
Have you tried getting an all screen kill when the 30 minute mark appears?
what if you save a full screen wipe for the last guy that kills you, could you kill him like that?

Hey tyler you should try the Lairel! its really strong! Its shield saves you from damage meaning you dont need to worry, u dont need HP/Armor meta upgrades and you just do really well not having to worry, i suggest to try it

Can you try using the screen kill amulet at 30 min when the boss comes. Mby it would kill it. Just theory crafting.
Doesn't work. You can kill it using mods to adjust weapon damage though and you'll unlock it as a character. But it's currently not possible with any legit strategy bc he has way way too much HP and a new one spawns every minute.
I still don’t understand what the money does, I watched all the videos but prob just missed when he explained it. But can anyone explain what it does? (in reactions)
The coins are a currency to buy permanent upgrades that last between runs. The upgrades vary from damage, HP, armor, movement speed, item pickup range, experience gained, etc. So the more coins you get, the more passive upgrades you buy, the easier future runs become.
Those are the "meta" upgrades Tyler is referring to.
"it's not the library boss that doesn't get knocked back" they changed that with this update. Now it's much more noticable with a colored outline and it gets knocked back now. It's not a sudden difficulty spike run killer anymore.
It is always so sad to see the damage numbers at the end and just see how little garlic actually does. I want to like you garlic, you keep the bad bats away. The bads. But it falls off so hard. Sad posting hours.
Garlic also increases the knockback enemies take, so it still goes well with the bible to keep enemies in the damage zone. Its not just the damage that gives it value.
Do a run where you have to pick new items/weapons when offered. You'll have all you slots filled by level 12. You get what you get!
Maybe you should be able to sell weapons and upgrades for meta currency. You would sacrifice upgrades in order to replace them with a new weapon, which would actually be pretty risky late game, since you end up wasting all those levels you spent upgrading the weapons.
if you use knives, turn on "on screen joystick" in the settings. then you're able to focus down specific bosses/areas. Also sealy good when you get the flamethrower

You unlock a new character if you kill the enemy at 30 min
You unlock him as a playable character!
But you have to mod the game files to kill him because he has waaaay too much health to kill with any combo

What I do like is that in that last minute, he only killed like 5 enemies. That whip and surprise chickens were saving his life so hard
