Contrary to the information within the video, Tech pack has been standard on Ranger XL, XLS and XLT since MY20 was released in late 2019. I also have the MY20 Wildtrak but if your looking to add a lot of mods and off road upgrades, I'd certainly be considering a cheaper XLT or even XLS as you're now getting the exact same vehicle without the fancy Wildtrak extras which now amounts to not much more than leather seats, roof rails and the rear tub roller shutter.
Should just get the XLT with the tech pack. It’s essentially identical to the Wildtrack mechanically with the tech pack, the only real differences being cosmetic. Can save yourself a small fortune with the XLT, giving you more cash to splash out on modifications you might want to make. I got the 2019 model two litre bi-turbo XLT with tech pack and am extremely happy with my decision.
Im about to purchase from my boss, his 2021 17klms on clock 2lt bi-turbo wildtrak undisclosed low amount of money :) I was enjoying this video, then I hated video.... Oh we like this so much we went and bought a Raptor.. Not every one has money to burn..wish vids like this had clarification that they are affiliated with a given corperation/group what not.
I just watched your towing video in which you compared the 3.2 litre to the 2.0 litre. And found the 2.0 litre superior on every measured metric. Yet I note you bought the 3.2. Are you planning on a chip / tune? I think your videos are really well done and the comparison video is one thing that really entered my own decision making process. With great power cones great responsibility. I need you to clarify this apparent contradiction. Cheers.
3.2 all the way trust me no matter what you hear or what anyone says ..the 2 litre might be quicker I don't know for sure .but the engine works twice as hard if not more just to make it move and carry might be good now when the truck is new but give it a few years and your engine will be burnt out that's just a fact ...they don't make anything last these days it's all money. Because a burnt out engine means a new truck it's that simple ..
Bought a 2nd hand xlt with 48000ks for $49k. It already has all these mods including 2nd battery steel rear bar and canopy. Great truck but with all the extras now it needs a tune for more power. Please do a video and get the 3.2 tuned
It's too expensive. Many of things it's no necessary here. Agree ir you are hard core off roader and have a lot of money. But with a nice set of tyres and rear locking diff you can do 90% of the tracks. This package presented here at least cost 12K if not more. Your warranty will be over. It's look pretty beautiful ute, but like you said, many of us have a house, school for our kids, health insurance, and that it's money also. This Is a marketing channel and off course they want to sell you anything. However, if you still want to modify your truck....there are important items you should put un your 4x4: - Suspensión: You dont need a BP-51 in all cases. I have now un my PX3 Ranger a OME nitrocharger sport...before that in a Mahindra have ironman nitrogas. There are a Lot of brands with affordable kits and you get the job done. I recommend suspension. - Winch. Perhaps you Will never use it. But sometimes it's better to have one. - Snorkel....only if you want to cross deep water. Cyclone heads are better for the dust but you will loose some power. I dont have one. It's not a must. Cheers mate
I hate to be a party pooper after your towing video, but I notice you don't say anything about how this will affect my GVM, towing capacity and payload! Watching the Top Ten Mods, I would have thought you'd added between 250-500kg to the overall weight of the vehicle, which is really going to affect your GVM, GCM & towing capacity. Can you do a weighbridge run on a stock 3.2 Wildtrack & your modified one to find out the differences!
Looks real good mod's for 4X4 driving and no tow mirrors for the road too get there, what did Ford say about the 7 year warranty is it still valid or has it been compromised ????
G’day, great video mate. I’ve found all your ranger related videos as of late extremely informative. One thing I’d really like to ask is how you found the on-road ride of the BP51’s vs the stock ride? Cheers!
We have 5 vehicles at the moment. We have a dealers licence and move vehicles in and out regularly. The next episode should be a good one with vehicles provided by a vehicle dealership. Yes, we featured in the ARB marketing, thanks for noticing and thanks for the compliment.
hi...does you hear sqeak, popping noise when you make fast U turn?..or when you make U turn and hits a bump..it is metal to metal sound....in my caise it is steering stops (lock-stops)..is it normal?
I took my brand new Wildtrak back to Ford regarding the same issue who were obviously fully aware of this problem. They simply greased the bump stops which seemed to do the trick. I also changed the way I steer by now taking a slight turn off from full lock if I didn't really need it. I don't think that greasing the bump stops is really the complete answer to this problem and if it was, then why aren't they greased at the factory.
Love your work. You mentioned that you fitted heavier springs to carry extra load. Was it a GVM upgrade ? If so rated to what ? and how does if ride with nothing in the back. Many thanks.
Hi I’ve just watched 2 of your U Tubes 2 litre/3.2 litre comparison & 10 mods Loved the comparison as I have the 3.2 now as a comparison I have my thoughts on next vehicle On the 10 mods I thought towing mirrors would be a must With mine I have found that hard to see behind without them In the comparison you would not have had a camera on back of caravan Thanks Rick
Great work Nick. It’s just a shame in this day and age you cannot order a Ute build the way you want it. You spend 60 or 70 K then throw a few grand in the bin to put on the good stuff that 70% of us want. Spending many more Ks I believe Tesla will let you order what you want in the original build. Just like you do when we order our campers.
holden the brand has gone??? I think the ARB design is out dated. I wish they would come up with a new design and as for having a recovery point that far under the car is just stupid. if your deep in mud or sand you wont have access to it. My wildtrak came standard with under body protection.
Accessories good, but the engine is useless. It is said in Europe to buy two cars so that you have something to drive. One Ford in service and the other you drive
Mountain Trail RV just a Holden fan lol RIP! And own a y62. But 2 of our 3 work rangers have blown transmissions 1 at 2000km 3.2 1 at 80,000km! 2.2! The 2 Colorado’s have had no issues! But now Holden is no longer we will be buying the d max!

Xls premium is a the best to modify just got a demo with tech pack for under $40,000 with 900 kms on it.
what milage do you have on your ranger, is it reliable?

Xlt or wild track I know what I will buy , and it’s not the Povo pack
What did all those upgrades cost $15-20k
Make sure it's the 3.2 is my top add on lol great work looks sick

Unfortunatly, we bought the 3.2 before we discovered the 2.0!!

Nice, easy to watch video. Keep it up
Glad you enjoyed the video! Stay tuned for more!
Nice set up. Where do you install your onboard twin air compressor? Thanks
How mush did your tyres change your fuel economy

Great price mate with all those extras!! What's your favorite mod on it ?
How many new cars do you have now? I've noticed the Mountainrail RV movie stars in a few ARB ads.
How much did the mods cost?
Great video, but some of us operate on a budget. What kind of cost are we up for with these upgrades per item? (ball park costs)

Really need some indicative costs for these!
Exactly. Top 10 mods but cost $25K.

If you are lifting your car you will need to install adjustable upper control arms or your wheels will camber
Would you be looking at a remap and chip next, or is the grunt sufficient?
Looks real good mod's for 4X4 driving and no tow mirrors for the road too get there, what did Ford say about the 7 year warranty is it still valid or has it been compromised ????
What is the Goodyear tyre size
Total Price?
What was the over all cost for that if u dont mind me asking?
Great video unfortunately no info on gearing and rev differents .
Time for some MSA or clear view towing mirrors.

Is it throw all the original factory parts away?
Rear protection bumper is missing.
How many new cars do you have now? I've noticed the Mountainrail RV movie stars in a few ARB ads. Getting good with the cinematography.

Great quality content. Noticed you went the 3.2 instead of the bi turbo. Keen to hear why?
Simon Cutajar stay tuned we will be doing a head to head with the 2.0 vs 3.2 shortly.
@@MountainTrailRV can't wait. You're my new hero #boystoys
@@MountainTrailRV So the 2.0 is better - but you got the 3.2?
@@maddistribution8465 We purchased the 3.2L before we did the comparison, stay tuned we have an epic fitout of our 3.2L coming soon
What would these mods add up to? 20k
What size is your tyres?
It's visible on video original size 265/60/18 but tyres it's more agressive look
just purchased the xlt biturbo tech pack, leather seats, 18 inch wheel premium paint, but have to wait 3 months
Wow just bought one exactly the same except 3.2. They only just got it in (1 in that spec)and pickup next Tuesday! Think I got lucky!
yep you did,its 7 week for me until the start the build
Hi did you change the upper control arms?
Thought the same, not enough suspension and wheel mobs advertise this.

Hi much to do your upgrade
It's ARB upgrades if you need a price its to much. So many better upgrades are available at a far better price.
lengthening the footprint
What is the tire size mate?
The tires are the original size 265/60/18, but we have since changed them to 33" as we are currently filming a much larger build on this vehicle.
Mountain Trail RV Wow! Looking forward to see the new upload.
thank you sir.
Willy good clip
Great stuff....but why not support the local ARB stockists, country Vic is hurting, why spend the $ in the city?
The ARB store in Albury is corporate owned by ARB, it was arranged through Albury.
@@MountainTrailRV Thanks for the clarification :)
