There is a bag with two brass elbows and two strainers. Did you use install those in the wall? The stainers are needed, correct? It would be hard to clean out trash if it made it to the shower head.

I'm trying to install my shower panel, and I feel like the instructions are too rushed and lack detailed explanations. Slowing down and providing more comprehensive guidance would really help.
Trash the hot and cold hoses they attach that come with it. They will leak cuz theyre crap. Get the braided stainless inlet hoses at Home depot. They have the pressed gaskets that wont squeeze out. If you live in California you will want to remove those two hot and cold supply lines anyway because there is an insert water restriction device in each side of the GOLD valve that slide right out. Try taking a shower with the bathroom lights off. Its very soothing with just the LED's on.
Is there a gasket on the back edge to keep the water from going behind it? I didn't see one in the video. Thanks for the installation instructions! I have one of these on the way and it was awesome to have an idea of what I'm going to need to do!

Thanks for the video. I am having issues with the top head mounting to the back plate. It appears that the securement predrilled holes are off my a couple of mm. I cannot get it to attach even if I try and angle the machine screws. I emailed Ella and Allo customer service to see if there is a manufacturers tolerance issue with the holes. Anyone else have similar issues?
Hi Jason- We are trying to balance the hot/cold flow and having no luck. In order to get water of the right temp, we have to reduce the flow to a dribble. Any reasonable pressure is overwhelmingly cold. We have plenty of hot coming out the stub, and plenty of hot at other nearby fixtures. We swapped the hot/cold input and the condition continues, which should rule out kinks and construction debris. Is there an anti-scald adjustment? Any other explanation?
What kinda water heater do you have and what is your water pressure. If you have a thankless and super high pressure the thankless may restrict flow due to demand
Hello @Robert D Calkins -- were you able to get hot water from the shower? We have a gas tankless water heater and none of our 3 showers are getting hot water. The nearby faucets are getting hot water
@@payalkhimani We get a weak stream of hot water so all the fancy spray positions are pretty useless. I'm convinced there is a "scald prevention" device in the unit that is malfunctioning and limiting the hot water flow. But we just moved into the house and have lot of other stuff to fix so are living with it. The seller was nice and tried to help but didn't understand English well enough to be of assistance.
Hey Jason, great video. Inspired me to get the same unit. Can you tell me the measurement of this unit from the bottom of the box to the water inlet and the bottom of the box to the top of the rectangular chest spread. Mine has not arrived yet and my plumber is coming today
Hello, thanks for watching if theres a tub spout on the unit I set the panel at 26inches it all depends on height to set panel I recomend getting the pannel before doing any work.
Can yoi help us. We have the same unit. We bought twice becauese it doesn't heat that good. Its like lukewrm water. Nd we set up out new water heater tank to 125 degrees farehnheat.
What can I help with? If the water doesn't get hot sounds like water heater problem . The only other thing may be you kinked the supply wine during installing the panel.

You should have a red and black wire coming from the head then red and black on the pannel. There are 2 sets of plugs behind the panel use the loose set and you will be operating
Can you put a video on how to make led temp display box in place? Mine keeps coming out and I can't secure it. There is no picture on how to do so. It's wobbly and keeps coming out. It looks like there should be 4 little pieces of plastic that need to be pushed in tracks but I only got one in the box. Do you sell those parts? Thank you.

Hi Jason, Can the pre-setting temperature be changed? Ex.: Instead of starting at 75 degrees have it start at 80 degrees. Reason behind that is if I want it hotter, I turn it up but it sprays harder and faster.

Is it an ello and allo? You might have to get some new lines that are standard. I've installed a dozen of those pannels and so far all have been half inch standard threads.

If you want to save money, dont hire a tile contractor to seal up the hole from the old shower valve. Stub out your brass 90 degree MIP (male adapters) and then use car bondo and trim it while it is rubbery before it hardens to prevent heat loss and water damage inside your wall. I wouldnt leave that hole there. Then use clear silicone down the left side, top and right side of the panel to prevent water from entering. You know with the hand held sprayer you cant control where water will go so insure your work. DO NOT seal the bottom of the panel so if you incur a leak from old parts you can detect it easily. The only snag I run into is every customer is different heights and the horizontal sprayer should be even with your chest which means for short people you will have to drop the panel lower than your old shower head/neck hole so the panel wont cover it. Bondo it and use a porcelain paint to patch it. Stay clean kids.

There is no gasket. You need to caulk around the sides with a clear tub and tile dap or caulking

Im.sorry to hear that. I would drill the the holes out if need be if that's an option. Or have them send you a new one and return that one.

Hey did your setup come with the brackets for wall mounting? If not do you know what those brackets are called? And specific size?

Cut the old valve out and install piping to 1/2 inch male adapters and hook up the supply lines

It is a half inch Male adapter. 1/2 inch standard threads.
1/2” doesn’t work with mine. Thread is to fine on water lines, both try to cross thread

Sorry I'm in Colorado. Most likely its a loose fitting I always tighten every connection before installing a panel they miss some clamps some times

Do you have to Chaulk the sides of the panel?
I recommend it that way moisture doesn't get behind the panel causing mold

The panel is tallenough it should cover the old valve hole and the old shower head. I just caulk the sides not the top or bottom .
