Very nice setup, would love to see a video of the fifth wheel connected and talking about clearance with lifted trucks and fifth wheels cause there’s not many 19-24 trucks , I’m on the fence between a 4” or 6” because of clearance issues when I get a fifth wheel!
Nice truck bro, just bought a 2022 and this is setup I want. Been looking for a video with a 4” lift and 35’s and I found yours not to mention I have a white one too so I was able to see exactly what it would look like! Thanks!
Awesome congratulations on you new truck! I almost went with a Cognito 4 inch lift. But I'm so glad I went with CST! It rides better than stock , unfortunately this truck really loves to cruise at 80 miles an hour. LOL. Even at high speeds this truck is a dream to drive. Tracks straight & feels incredibly smooth. Let me know what lift you end up going with! Feel free to email me some photos! Thanks Brian!
@@DURTYMAXLML will do I was going to go with Cognito 4” but this is the first time I’ve heard of CST. Now I’m torn? Lol Cognito is in Bakersfield which is close to me so is Mcgaughy which is in Fresno where I live. But seems like the others are better builds. I pull a 30’ bumper pull trailer so wanna make sure it still pulling good thinking about airbags in back.
I'm putting airbags on the truck even though it doesn't really need it. Better to have them than not. Still waiting for the air compressor, they've been on backorder for months! Cognito is still a very good lift! Let me know how everything goes! 😎👍
@@briancatena4152 dont do 35s that will look funny. I turned the torsion keys up on my 22 3500hd and put 37x12.50s on and it look proportional. 35s is only about an inch taller than the stock tire. I put my jeeps 35 up next to my stock chevy tire and I was blown away at how there was basically no difference in size.
@@rhysl4759 funny you say that I actually changed my mind to 37’s the other day after seeing a 2500 like mine with 37’s looked great plus it’s not much more just to go bigger as well.
The front end looks to be slightly higher, does the suspension eventually settle down a little.( or maybe it's the camera angle) Just curious. The truck looks absolutely amazing man... what is the recipe for that protein drink you had?? Is it easy to fix?
The truck sits a bit higher in the front, but I can level it out with the Air Bags. Protein Drink is Kachava with one Banana, one Apple and a dash of Cinnamon! It hits the Spot! Thank you Shannon!
I have the same lift on my truck 2021 high country I love the ride I just feel a lot more of the road in my Steering wheel and it has a slight chatter if you go over rocks in my steering wheel it feels tight turning back-and-forth just wondering if you experience any steering wheel chatter
I haven't experienced any of those problems. This CST lift has made my truck drive better than stock. Did you get the upper control arms? It might be worth taking it back to the shop that did your lift kit, it should be driving smooth with no chatter or vibrations in the steering. It could be the torsion keys, too tight and they max out droop Travel. Or if torsion keys are too loose without tension could be the cause as well, hard to say. Larger tires can make for heavier steering, but it definitely sounds like something ain't right. I'm extremely nitpicky, My O.C.D is a curse and a blessing at the same time. Every vibration, Creek or crack can't be ignored. Something like that would drive me absolutely insane! Lol. I hope you find out what is causing it. If you end up finding a solution please get back to me, I'm quite curious now! This is why I love RUclips, identifying problems and creating Solutions! Let me know thank you Chad!
Truck looks great. Curious, what's the total height of the truck ground to roof and/or total height of lift? I've got 8ft garage doors, but want to make sure I can get it in.
I measured 7FT 1INCH. Or 85inchs. This height measurement includes the antenna like shark fin on the top of the roof. Hope this helps thank you Kamcheu!
How much clearance do you have with the 5th wheel now? I have a 2016 LML with 6.5 in. lift and 37s. I think I am too tall to tow the 5th wheel camper now. Very nice setup.
I had a 2016 LML with a 6.5 inch lift. Although I had I had 35 inch tires and a 3 inch Leaf block. The Curt 5th wheel hitch that I had, has 4 height adjustments and was set on its highest setting, so if you have 37's and I'm guessing you possibly have a 5inch block you can drop the fifth wheel hitch height adjustment sitting down one or two notches and you would be just fine. Plus I had air bags set at 40PSI. Also don't forget your PIN box on the fifth wheel has, or at least mine has- 8 height adjustments. Giving you 7 inches of variance. I hope this helps I think you'll be just fine thank you T. HILL! What kind of trailer are you looking at getting?
@@DURTYMAXLML thanks for the reply. My current setup does have the 5 inch block in the rear. The 5th wheel is a 2020 Artic Wolf 265DBH8. Unfortunately it has the Moryde pin box that doesn’t have height adjustment. I don’t have a hitch installed on this truck but was thinking of going with an Andersen. Not sure how to make the whole hookup thing work without lowering the height and maybe switching to a smaller rim and tire setup. But I appreciate the info.
It's holding up very well! Haven't had any problems yet. If I have any problems I'll make sure to share on future videos. It looks amazing. But time will tell! Thank you Brian!
My buddy Noe painted it at his Shop! He did an amazing job! I was actually going to get 18 inch rims, but these manufacturers don't make very many 18's with negative offsets. I agree 37's would look awesome! Thank you!
Hey! I recognized your RUclips Channel, I'm a Subscriber of yours-- from when you had the 2016 Duramax, Awesome Bank Derringer Vid! The CST lift kit has been Awesome. The drivability is better than the BDS kit I had, towing heavy is very smooth. The upper control arms are extra, but well worth the money. If I had to do it all over again, I'd get the same kit! But add the adjustable shocks. Not that I need them,, but if your spending that much money. You might as well go all the way! Thanks FROGMAN524!
@@DURTYMAXLML great to hear man. Appreciate the sub as well. I had a Cognito 4-6 on my 2016 and it didn’t ride well because it had to be cranked up to 5.5” to clear the tires I had but these new trucks have much more clearance so I’m hoping if I do the CST 4” I can clear 37x12.50R20 KO2s on my 20x9 +18 KMCs with little or no trimming. I already have the Cognito UCAs just wish I could reuse my Fox 2.5s
Actually if I get he stage 1 kit I can reuse the Cognito UCAs I've got and apparently the stock shocks will also work as well. Probably will pull the trigger this year sometime.
@FORGMAN524 The CST kit should work well, The shop I got my truck lifted at said 37's fit no problem. I went with 35's for towing and MPG. I'm look'n forward to seeing your CST Video!!!
@FORGMAN524 I'm love'n this CST lift kit. It tows and drives super smooth! No regrets! My torsion key are slightly lower than factory Hight making for a comfortable front end. MPG is not so good in the city, but on the highway I can get anywhere from 16 to 21 Mpg. MPG varies due to where I live, there are Hills all around me.
