The only thing with rought country is you can't chage shocks to other brand you can only get shocks from them cuz thay chage the Design of the front shocks
Any follow-up on how this truck is working out for your dad? I'm interested in the Vertex shocks but long term reviews are non-existent on them in the 2500 HD space. Current daily driver ride quality and how it still tows heavier trailers is my biggest question. Basically, have the shocks held up?
I've used a few rough country lifts the latest was on my jk and the control arm bushings went out quick and I couldn't find r nor did they offer replacement so I had to buy a better brand control arm.
Hows the ride quality with this 5" Rough Country lift? I see that you've got nicer control arms and shocks on the white Denali... but how did your black GMC ride with the stock RC lift? Asking because I had a RC lift on my XJ Jeep Cherokee and it rode..... rough. Hoping the ride quality is better on a HD Silverado. Thanks.
Looks great! What size blocks in the back? I like a little squat and was wondering what size blocks in the back for a 5" front lift to make a little squat. Thanks!
In your opinion how wide/ tall can you go with a run and tire set up on this truck with some trimming or an off-road bumper wanting to run 26x14s on 35s or 37s would it be possible on this lift with a ranch hand number ?

The tires under the truck is the way to go. I will never understand this 33 on 20 or 22 by 16 wide look. its just simply horrendous. Tall and under the wheel wells is the way to go. Id honestly crabk down the front if possible to level it. Killer channel btw. You really do good informing about these trucks
The lift looks great. However, using the kryptonite upper control arms versus the rough country control arms from the kit does not really give a true idea on how the roof country kit would compare solely as the kid itself versus a kryptonite suspension kit or BDS. Something to note the real only difference to the roof country kit versus the BDS kit is the $1,000 extra you pay for Fox shocks versus the rough country knock-off shocks.
I got 21 Denali hd, live in Canada, I complained about the under coating for that exact reason, salt on roads in winter ! So the spayed it again, , did much better filling some seems and gaps they missed, on there dime of course, got brand new and crawled underneath for a look , factory cheeped out a bit but dealer fixed it 👍
It's not straight. Got alotta angle. We're the keys cranked? Looking at a 2024 and want a non torsion drop and non track width extension 5' kit. Rough country offers that but the angles are not that good.

Met your parents last night and complimented your dads truck. He told me to check your RUclips channel. Nice!
You're right about rough country and bds, ive lifted a few 2020s using both their 6" lifts and they're super similar.
I’ve heard a lot of people say the shocks are the only real difference
I do kinda wonder about the spring rates on the solid axle trucks tho, maybe they’re similar I’m not too sure
Looks really Sweet JW your Dad will like that.
A truck with a 6” suspension lift with a 3” body lift is that the same as 9” suspension lift
Okay. How’d you get it level? Mine has the same lift but sits lower in the front

As of 10-15-24, he still likes them!

Looks good, how much is that kit?
Does the whole KRYPTONITE front end fit ok on the 5" RC? They told me they haven’t done enough testing to give me an answer. Just curious.
Any idea how tall that thing sits from the ground to top of roof?
Turned out awesome bud
Does your dad have 3.42 gears, if yes how does the truck run ?
Let’s get pops the tune and weight loss program!!
He’s got the Pulsar V3
@@JWMontoya hey us LM2 guys sure could use your “pull” at SD tuning lmao
I don’t have any extra “pull” if something isn’t available
That truck is beautiful
Looks good! Just curious are you running limo tint on your gmc diesel? Not referring to the truck in this video, but your own truck
Looks good👍

You can always turn the keys up with leveling keys
I want the Bubba look on my 17 silverado. What wheel spacers do you recommend?
2”
@@JWMontoya Do you have a brand that is better than any other. I want a unit I can trust for sure!
this is exactly what I need
Any rubbing?

You’d need a 7” kit at least for that offset

No rubbing issues?
Great video! Was looking for a video like this. The question is, do you know the height of the cab now? I need to stay at 86 inches or under.
Did you ever figure out what it was lol have the same issue
You should get some 40s for your bubba setup and put the 38s on your dads
That’s a good idea
Those axle angles are kinda scary...
What size wheel spacer you using

Most people with BDS upgrade their UCA with Kryptonite or Cognito so it does give a good idea.
I'm just curious how much does it typically cost to weight reduce the truck?
Like removing the spare tire?
Anyone else notice the fire music in the background
Would you say 22x12 with 35’s look good on a 2020 high country?
For sure 🤘
How does a 2021 already have rust ? Just curious
They rust within months. Also lived up north for a year with salt on the ground

Show season is almost done boys meaning bubba season is almost here.
Nice looking Truck
is that a 3500 hd?
