I always worry about them getting stuck in the motor, but I guess they have been successfully boarding boats for a long time now. So glad they are treated with respect and being given a good life. Free but also taken care of by people.

Was there a couple years ago on a charter fishing boat and same thing. I was standing at the back of the boat with my back to him and he silently plopped himself up there and when I turned around he scared the bejesus out of me, so I punched him in the nose and he jumped off....lol

They have amazing stamina to be keeping up with that moving boat
They actually slip stream with the wake of the boat ... dolphins learned to do this too so they can travel at fast speeds using less energy

inboard prop, the props are a good couple feet from the back of the boat.
