This is our first daylight video test with the new Canon EOS 1100D.
Recorded with 30 frames per second at 1280x720. Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4.
Lens: Canon 18-135mm, Canon 10-22mm

DSLRS are awesome. but the only thing it can't provide is TALENT. so even if you have the best cam but you dont have a talent for photography or filming, then its quiet useless.
wow I am truly blown away by what this canon t3 can do. Sooo buying it
720p is good enough for personal documentation and semi-pro video editing. the higher the number, the more space you'll need to store it.

based on my experience, it is not quite good to record a very loud sound, i.e. concert, etc.
But with such a price, I think it is worth to buy.
PS: you should consider to attach additional microphone to cope the audio quality problem.
@FenchelJanisch Canon EOS 1100D is limited to 720p. In video mode do you have full manual control ? Great video BTW.

that's a common sense question, but I think the answer is in you. both canon and nikon has their own pros and cons. now, the question is, what kind of photographer are you? a beginner, or a pro? since those cameras can produce magnificent photographs as long as you got the skill, not the camera brand.
@philtrapp Your shallow reply isn`t convincing enough without having solid arguments to sustain your beliefs regarding the quality of lenses that Canon make. First of all Canon has made the largest objective that has evere existed with the largest optical zoom that can be also used for filmmaking.

@bodyboard4life10 well the movable LCD is exactly what I dont like. as far as movie quality though, either model would do well, but the difference comes in with still photography, if thats a concern to you at all

Everytime I use camera record it sometimes stops recording and says "Movie recording has been stopped automatically" Can someone tell me how to stop it?
This is for half the price now.. should I buy it? I've been photographing for a year now (with a 5 year old camera) and thought I could upgrade my camera now.

@herliey216 ouhh that one , u probally have to buy memory card for VideoHD , for normal memory can't work for HD , set for 640x480 it can run :)

please record video using iPhone 5 and show us this brilliant bokeh that is better than DSLR ;) and zooming of course

@@RedNarakuWas it the ISO being to high ? My sony camera does a noisy image if you don't adjust the ISO (true for any camera)
Canon you change the focus while filming? Or can you zoom while filming?

Great video. Canon make the best lenses! Nikon only use one audio channel. Shame on them!

No, this video was shot with 30 fps but you can shoot 25 fps...
I recently just bought the same camera and my video files are really big and they're all MOV files. Is there a way to change the file format or the size? Please. I couldn't find it in the settings or even in the manual. :(
There should be video converters though. The camera is a bit older and thus it uses a older movie format.

You can't, you must record in manual focus.

did you use magic lantern ? because i dont know how i change shutter speed or aperture in movie mode.
You can change the focus in manual focus
you can zoom while filming but not focus
how do u do movie mode for this camera?
can i just say that i have a 1100d the quality is really good for the value but u wont get these kind of results with the standard lens that comes with it...frankly the kit lens leaves a lot to be desired compared to this. so if anyone is thinking of buying one you should obviously bear that in mind that to get good results your still gonna have to spend more money :/

What free editing software can I edit my Canon EOS 1100D videos on?! It won't let me upload any of my videos to movie maker. I don't want to do anything fancy, just put some clips together and cut them down a little.

@ReflexFreerun The 600D is made easier for the DSLR beginner, it has a ''moveable'' LCD screen, and has a little better video mode, when put on AF.

Good video quality, just kind of a bummer there is no audio jack for an external microphone with this model.
@TheLegitVlogger Yes.. With in camera mics only. So maybe invest in external mics and recorders if you want to get good sound.

@glow315 on the mens there is usually a Smith that says m/af switch it to m and turn the Focus where to decide where to Focus :)
