We would like to give a shout-out and special "thank you" to the bear who was kind enough to film the landing and departure on that grass field, and then upload the footage to Matt so he could add it to this vlog!
Owen was FURIOUS when he got in the plane. The best understated rage I've heard in years! Off camera I bet he lost his sh t totally...
I too noticed that. But it maybe because he had just gotten up.
I sure hope you compensate Owen ;-) ... seems like he puts up with a lot...maybe its just the editing?

To open your hanger door sooner, get myQ. It allows you to open your garage door from your iphone from anywhere in the world.

Move the door remote to the outside into a plastic box. We did that at the fire station then just added some wire in between the remote and door motor. Another tip - for 'nasty' smells - Vaseline to the tip of your nose (in between the openings). (Or a air pack) Had to help remove bodies more then once. (I know.. just passing on life experiences) Take care be safe. Spin

Hi Matt, would you recommend reading any background material or taking mountain flying instruction before attempting these Idaho backcountry strips? Or is it just basic common sense? I visited Johnson Creek and Krassel by car but haven't flown in yet.

We all have a different radio voice lol
Also, you hear yourself differently in your cans...so I wouldn't say it's changing ones voice as much as compensating for how loud you perceive it sounds.

Your friend should be grateful anyway, you were helping keep a higher cabin pressure inside the plane than there was outside! Therefore lowering any jetlag etc of high altitude flight ;). Although a plane pressurised with methane is a risk! (I know Bonanza isn't pressurised)

Two things to think about: Did you really not shutdown before Owen got aboard? If so, not a good safety practice. Second, pulling into the hangar under power is taking a risk. A bit safer is to get it moving that way and shutdown just before going in to just coast in. If the throttle jammed or brakes quit, being under power is big trouble. The best way is to shutdown and move it by hand/power tow ..... nose or tail first.

I was about to say the same thing. Dump the Bonanza for something that is more appropriate for the area that you live in.
@@jimknuckey6078 It's a recipe for trouble... one day you will get yourself in a situation with an airplane not meant for the conditions. This strip was ok. He has lots of $$$ just buy a Super Cub on top of the Bo. Its going to be interesting going into the winter as well... Alpine can have days if not weeks of being socked in. And icing....
If you like going slow. I fly a 210M and 182 on sportsman VGs and a air glass fork with 850’s. I don’t think mat will ever dump the BO

Poor Owen. Doing all the work and being subjected to Matt’s germ warfare
