Great content btw! Ive been slowly getting into more iracing and would like to race prototype cars, as for now I’ve mainly driven the Ferrari gt3 and Porsche cup. I was thinking of hopping straight into lmp2 but it seems to have quite a low participation in both its own and imsa, what car would u recommend🥲 u reckon it would be fine racing lmp3 and jumping straight into lmdh once I’m used to it?
I would say that I love the P3 more than the P2 and GTP. Only b/c it allows you to beat up on the car and drive more aggressively. I think it is also a good entry point into Prototype and multiclass racing. Starting out too fast and not being comfortable can make it harder to learn and more complicated. I would start w/ P3, race a season or 2 and step up. Once you get into the P2 it can get crazy. P3 series is not as popular as the IMSA series so you will race around many of the same guys.
